He would have freaked out just how good the game looks, it's such a shame he will never get to see it. If I remember right, most of the the pre-rendered sequences in ME3 were produced out of house by a film VFX studio (I _think_ it was The Mill in the UK). It will have cost Bioware a fortune to get them made in the first place and is unlikely to be something they have any power to tweak at this point. Not without parting with another shedload of money anyway. I'm sure they could have done other embellishing work, but it doesn't sound like the remaster team spent much of any time on ME3. @@johanneshjortshj8646 its a weapon that fires molten metal at high speeds and temps just like the reapers weapon. In fact I think it was based off it. Given the time frame between ME2 and the events of ME3 and the successful trial of it on the Normandy (cause it was experimental at the time) id say no reason to mass produce it even if it wasn't safe. It was better than the guns they currently had. Honestly the only real reason I can think of is the power output it requires. The Normandy had a much more advanced core. Thats why I say put it on dreadnoughts. They have a core that generates similar quantities of energy as the Normandys core does. Even if you just fit two on there it would have been a huge advantage in the battle for palaven and earth.
Hell the Asari who were the most advanced could have probably mass produced and fielded the weapon in large quantities.
All I'm saying is that it seems like the upgrades that the Normandy got in ME2 that helped them against the collectors who had technology almost on par to the reapers went unnoticed or disregarded by the other species. Even the ones who believed the reapers were real and "prepared".

Huh, I just realized something this far down the line. Though this is by far my favorite cutscene in the entire trilogy, if the allied fleet is coming at the reapers at that angle, where the Earth is somewhat BEHIND the reapers.... then every mass accelerator shot of the entire allied fleet that MISSES ..... sends projectiles with the kinetic energy of about 38 kilotons of TNT raining down on the earth........ you got to assume that there is going to be a hell of a lot of "two and a half times the destructive power of the fission bombs that destroyed Hiroshima" taking place down there; we're talking nuclear barrage from the very fleet sent to save them. o.O

Been playing Mass Effect since the very 1rst. My total attack strength at the end on ME3 was 120%. With no dlc. When I ordered attack &(this only happens when you're past 100%) 3 Reaper's were totally distroyed on first strike. When you play this game again. It is truly a sight

"Good day. In less than an hour, starships from here will join others from across the Galaxy; and you will launch the greatest star battle in the history of Citidal Space...Citidal Space, those...words should have new meaning for us today. We can't be constrained by our differences anymore. We stand united against our Common Enemy. Perhaps, it is Fate, that today is First Contact Day, and you will once again be fighting for your freedom; not from subjugation or assimilation or condemnation...but from extinction. We're fighting for our right to live. To exist. And when we win the day...this day will no longer be remembered as a conflict between two races, but as a Day when the Galaxy declared with One Voice "We will not be forgotten! We will not lay down and die! We're going to survive!! We're going to see tomorrow!! Today, we celebrate, our Existence Day!!!"

Because the Normandy has a stealth drive making it effectively invisible? Also why would the reapers focus solely on one ship instead of...literally the thousands of others.
And no the Thanix cannons the Normandy is equipped with are standard issue on most modern Turian, Asari, and even some human ships.
Hell some fighters have been outfitted with them.

Because that wasn't originally there, they added it in a patch to explain why your squadmates are on the ship when it crashes lol.

Thanix cannons are fairly common and some dreadnoughts have them in their main guns, like the Kwunu.
That's what the big ass blue flashes across the screen were when they opened fire on the Reapers. The stealth system was engaged and the beams influence doesn't make it easy.

For me, you can take every great film, the epics... and it cannot match this moment, you've fought, battled, decided, and you get to here. Your heart is in your mouth, and you think... Oh God, what am I in for? This is a masterpiece and the battle... my God, intense doesn't cover it. The high watermark of gaming, when it transcends everything and you realise... this is better than anything you have ever experienced... and you are scared out of your wits but you FIGHT on. I've played through Mass Effect six times, it never, ever gets old. Legendary Edition is perfect... because it is... a legend. Oh, and Mass Effect 2 - the greatest computer game of all time, it will never be beaten.

Everyone enjoys space battles (myself included), but I sometimes think it's silly to suggest that, sentient beings with this level of technology would fight a battle this way.
