@alyoverseas do you still keep the Sabbath? If you do, how do you keep it? I have been studying this for over a decade and keeping it. However, I'm have been questioning the legalistic nature of keeping the Sabbath from many of the congregations I have been attending. Just curious to hear your perspective.
Hi there, yes I do still atempt to keep *a* sabbath, but not necessarily the literal sabbath of the bible. I think it's clear that the Father instructs us to have a physical rest, but also hits home that our true sabbath rest is our salvation in Christ. I think Pauls instructions to the Gentiles on whether or not they should be keeping the law, be circumcised, etc really sums up how our hearts should be concerning it. Ultimately Christ is the fulfillment & its our faith in him and the evidence of our faith displayed in our fruit that upholds the law of Christ. Thats my perspective as of today but it took me a while to come out of a legalistic mindset surrounding the sabbath even after leaving the Hebrew Israelites. I think that's just our nature in wanting to "do" things for God & earn our spot in heaven, but in Christ - "it is finished"
@stephenprescod6695 Although I'm not Aly. I will put my 2 cents in, and keep it a bean. It may be difficult to keep the exact Sabbath. As the 13 month, 28 days a month calendar is not currently being used. 365 or 6 days and a "leap" year. So 🤨🤷🏿
Shalawam I'm going to add my perspective based on the scriptures. If you get the apacraphy it gives great detail. It's according to the new moon. I will put the scriptures this weekend. It's sundown to sundown. As the light descreaseth. Starts day 1 ect. Also Hebrew Calendar is 12 months. Up to adar.
I left too sister, recently, after 6-7 years in the movement, starting from highschool! The true Jesus has shown himself to me, and I praise God for Him and His Holy Spirit.

Why would God give a specific group of people a set of laws to follow, severely punish and even kill them when they don't keep the laws. Then allow everyone else to inherit the kingdom WITHOUT following those laws that 10s of millions were previously punished for. THAT DOES NOT MAKE SINCE. Our father is just and righteous. He's indeed just and righteous, but we aren't. There's no way we can keep all several hundred laws in this day and age perfectly, especially the ones regarding the sacrificial system. This isn't to say Torah is made void, for our faith is shown through our works. Besides, Abraham was told he'd be a father to many nations, and the prophet Isaiah states His servant (Israel) would be a light to the nations. The eternal words of God and Jesus are given to all men through Israel. I think that should be something we celebrate.

Thank you for sharing. It is so important that we read the Bible for ourselves. We are not connected to a camp but we listen to teachings from a variety of camps along with Dante Fortson, Stephen Darby, We Woke Now, as well as others. I believe that there is no one that has it 100% right but we pray, read the Bible and seek the Father and do the best that we can. When the Messiah returns then we will have a better understanding. Some camps believe certain things that we don’t believe. Eat the meat and throw away the bones. I caution just staying in the NLT. Parallel Bibles and using Bible apps to compare different translations are helpful. I agree with being careful to not become prideful. I noticed pride in some of the videos that we watched.

That’s because it says that in Isaiah 14:1-2 and Revelations 13:10 There is no getting around those scriptures. My understanding from these scriptures is that I or any other ordinary Israelite won’t be the judge of this. That’s Gods will.
Your experiences and understanding of things are valid. The Bible states that ANYONE who proclaims Christ as the son of God will receive the kingdom of heaven. Even the Jews, Christ reprimanded and said they were sons of the devil, for they did not accept him (John 8:39-47). I like that you were asked, "Do you know Jesus?" and you thought about it. That is really great you didn't get mad at the question, but sought out answers.
Jesus said the highest commandment (after loving the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength) is to love thy neighbor as thyself. The amount of hate in these comments makes me understand how people clamored for Him to be crucified. It is so easy to be full of self, pumped up with false specialness, and worry about who’s “chosen” and what not. The hard thing to do is love others, not worry about if you’re better than other people. God bless you, sister. If people read the Bible, they’d know that Israelites will go through the tribulation, and they wouldn’t be fighting so hard to be one.

For me, I never got into a camp, but I did deep dive into the rabbit whole of information after praying to God for guidance on whether not the images of Jesus and other biblical historical figures in the publications my former bible study conductors gave me were valid (I was raised a JW). Needless to say, Yah opened my eyes to so much information that I really had to pace myself at times. My dad got really into it too and it gave him a sense of identity apart from the one that hes always been minimized to by American society. For me, I eventually began to realize that 1.) Yes I understand that the image of Jesus has been misrepresented by modern day Christianity and 2.) That we are the descendants of the Hebrew Israelites, but it became increasingly difficult to focus on who Christ is and my identity in Him. Not to mention how I also felt condemned to some degree because Im also mixed. According to some camps, mixing of races is prohibited. When found that out, it made me feel like I was an abomination to God for being mixed, or not of "pure Hebrew Israelite" blood and that the only way to fix it is to marry another black person so my descendants will turn out right. Along with that, there was so much pride emanating from many of the people in these camps (not all obviously!). And now Im kinda at the point its like I know what Jesus is suppose to look like (or more like what he didnt look like when he was here on earth), and I know according to scriptural what Hes done for the world, but what how does this affect me? What does it mean for me that Christ died for MY sins? I've read the Gospel back and forth countless of times since, but its hard for me to wrap my head around certain things. Getting caught up in and solely focusing on all of this has prevented me from truly understanding who Christ is. Thats basically all I'm really trying to focus on right now.

I empathize with you. Read it from front to back. It is a historical document that should be read from front to back. It's hard to get an understanding if you start towards the end. You would not open any other book towards the end and expect to get a full understanding. I had to get out of that mindset but once I better understood the law and prophets then it was easier to understand the gospels. It's okay to not know what every single thing means, it's not meant for most to know. I had to be patient with myself. Fast & pray for understanding & have faith that God will show you what you are meant to learn. My mother was "white", my father is "black". I know your struggle. You are who your father is according to the bible. I think it's important for the women to learn their role and what God wants us to do. It's important for us to be well learned so we don't get led astray. Seek His face with a humble heart and He will show you what you need to know.

It's quite possible that the true children of Jacob/Israel WERE Black! However, in this, the dispensation of the GRACE OF GOD, (see Ephesians 3:2) our Savior Jesus does not make any distinctions concerning those who are true believers and have been baptized (spiritually, non-water) into the Body of Christ by God the Holy Spirit (see Corinthians 12:13, also see Galatians 3:28)! "I did not come to erase the law, but to fulfill" (Matthew 5:17). Your insinuation that Christians doesn't believe that "OT law" should be kept, is out of context, at best. You do realize there isn't 1 "Christian Church ", right? In regards to ceremonial or sacrificial laws- yes....that was the entire point of Jesus' sacrifice. We no longer ha e to pay in blood,because his blood paid our price. UT the moral laws are just as valid today and I can't think of any denomination of Christian that espouses or teaches otherwise. Do you practice blood atonement or animal sacrifice? I've NEVER heard any real, mentally well Christian telling anyone that you have to eat pork, or other "unclean" animals. Neither have you. There are also some Christian denominations that adhere pretty strongly to Old Testament Laws, such as 7th Day Adventist.
We as Christian obey the law because we are saved and the Holy Spirit guides us to all truth I don’t know what you are talking about that we don’t keep God commandments . If you are truly saved he will remain inside of you and help you to fulfil his commandment. You’re right in saying that not all Israelite groups are the same, I definitely learned that during my time with them (I was a part of multiple camps) but I did learn that the basic doctrine of what the Israelites believe is generally the same, from the less extreme to the ones on the street. They all have a basic teaching of who the “chosen” people are and how the law relates to today. All of them teach a doctrine that’s just not biblical or even historically correct.

A mixed multitude of people but biblical and they call themselves Hebrew Israelites while also believing the original people were of a black folk. I haven't seen anything non biblical about them yet although I don't think any man or people will get everything perfectly.

Shabbat Shalom! I know it's about bloodline, not camps, religion, buildings, and denominations. My spirit didn't sit right with them. I'm not into RELIGION because the Most High Yah is not a religion. I limit myself on who I watch. I do keep the Shabbat on Saturday, and I read the Cepher, Holy Scriptures, and KJV. I don't go into the brick and mortar building, which is called the church. I watch certain people, study with my husband, and allow the Ruach Ha'qodesh( holy spirit)teach me.

6:21 there were 613 commandments in the OT, yet the 10 seem to get the focus, and keeping the Sabbath being one of them. Yet those were Mosic Law meant for the Isrealites, so they would only need to be observed by those that the commandments were intended for? There was no way to remain sinless, according to the OT, and the Isrealites were certainly unable to keep them, even if meant specifically for them. Though the wage of sin was death, people who sinned weren't being struck down where they stood. If atonement and a blood sacrifice was required in the OT, for those that don't believe in Jesus, what blood sacrifice is being used to cover their sin?
Anything that comes from the "masoretic" texts, the vulgate, or the "received" texts is no good. I highly recommend the SeptuaGint and the Peshitta and LanceLot Charles Lee BrenTon's and James MurDock's translations for crossreferences.
Shalom akhote! I think most Israelites started christian, already having a good base in the word, are then led away from the church. You on the other hand, had never read your bible and was thrusted into something that requires prerequisites. It really wasn’t your choice to begin with so technically, you were never an Israelite. Being black is a color and being Israel is a bloodline or culture. This is not a religion. There are a lot of truths in what camps are teaching but there are also a lot of false doctrines, the same can be said of christianity, like the trinity. Personally, i dont ascribe to any camp, but i dont bash or debate with them either. I walk with the Messiah as my brother and my king and AHAYAH as my GOD. Truth be told, this walk isn’t for everyone, only Israel.

You’re right, I definitely don’t go into all of the theological & doctrinal reasons why I left. I feel like that would have to be a whole separate video & also I feel like there are already so many videos giving scriptural explanations why their doctrine is just not sound teaching. In all honesty, I was trying to follow this story, and I kid you not, I played it three times and still haven't gotten beyond the rambling of it was not fulfilling to her. This story seem to be centered on her exiting the Hebrew Isreaelite movement and while many were agreeing or commending her for doing so, it is clear some doing so seem to also have had some sort of not so good experience with this group. What you may be trying to get out is synonymous with mainly every religious touting organizations out there. This is why it is important to conduct your own bible study so you know what you are investing in. We do that before we make purchase of material things, why not do so for something on which your life sits depending on the choices you make?. Anyone joining a Church, a Movement of any kind of Association for the soul purpose of getting to know Jesus, will be grossly deceived, because Christ will not be found in any man made building or movement but in the word of God. This was made very clear in his conversation with Nicodemus and the Samaritans woman when Christ said, those coming to the father must now do so in the Spirit and truth. I have never joined this movement, because listening to them on the streets it is clear to me their approach is very militant in nature. and they appear over Zealous which according to the scripture, zeal can be misdirected, and discovering who you are in no way should give you the right to laud it over others. This in my opinion can be misdirected zeal. I did not have to sit in any church or movement to figure out if they were running along those old condemned line, because I have the word of God always in my heart because I studied it for myself. We don't play Adam and Eve and start looking to blame others when we violate God's laws. The word is given to each of us, that's why Paul had high praises for the Bereans. Acts 17:10-12; When you do not get into the habit of self-educating on the word of God, you can end up in churches or group hopping and while all of these institutions may offer some truth, half truth is not truth. Your walk with the Lord has to be personal in order for it to be effective because that's how we defeat the enemy by sharing the love of Jesus that we personally experienced and letting others know this love can be had by everyone who is willing to make Christ their Lord and savior. We are living on the brink of time and our approach should not be that of someone consuming things that are bad for them then go running looking for antacids because what we ate is giving us indigestion. Study the word of God with the help of the Holy Spirit and you will be guided into all truth as promised through the scriptures. This teaching that we are going to be kings and queens with the rest of the world groveling at our feet is baseless and erroneous. As believers, we are not led by Moses as was Israel in ancient days, but by the Spirit of Yeshua the Christ. If you had the word of God your time in any one of these places would've been so short you will not have anything to report, so you entered these gates misdirected and exited ill-informed. As I said, every one of these organizations will offer you a slither of truth and if you are not careful you may find yourself hopping from one to the next looking for your truth. Jesus said, in the last days many will come in his name preaching he is the Christ and will deceive many. Christ made it clear that some of them will put yokes on you that they themselves are unwilling to carry. So my advice to everyone is to look before you leap, don't leap and fall and then go crying because you failed to read the sign that says, beware of false prophets and carefully examine the vehicle before you are about to purchase, less you buy cat in bag.

In my experience, I’ve found that God is a father who WANTS his children to know him (much like you would if your children were separated from you) ..which means fortunately for us there is a clear path to him. Unfortunately, we usually complicate things and make our own paths, which lead to a “version” of him but not the real thing. 1. I did not leave the faith all together. I am still very much a believer and my faith is the most important thing to me. I just reject the teachings of the Hebrew Israelites
2. I understand that not Israelite camps are the same. When I say I left the Israelite church, I mean I reject ALL Hebrew Israelite teachings, regardless of what camp.

I have been studying this for over a decade and keeping it. However, I'm have been questioning the legalistic nature of keeping the Sabbath from many of the congregations I have been attending. Just curious to hear your perspective.
Hi there, yes I do still atempt to keep *a* sabbath, but not necessarily the literal sabbath of the bible. I think it's clear that the Father instructs us to have a physical rest, but also hits home that our true sabbath rest is our salvation in Christ. I think Pauls instructions to the Gentiles on whether or not they should be keeping the law, be circumcised, etc really sums up how our hearts should be concerning it. Ultimately Christ is the fulfillment & its our faith in him and the evidence of our faith displayed in our fruit that upholds the law of Christ.
Thats my perspective as of today but it took me a while to come out of a legalistic mindset surrounding the sabbath even after leaving the Hebrew Israelites. I think that's just our nature in wanting to "do" things for God & earn our spot in heaven, but in Christ - "it is finished"

I'm going to add my perspective based on the scriptures. If you get the apacraphy it gives great detail. It's according to the new moon. I will put the scriptures this weekend. It's sundown to sundown. As the light descreaseth. Starts day 1 ect. Also Hebrew Calendar is 12 months. Up to adar.

Why would God give a specific group of people a set of laws to follow, severely punish and even kill them when they don't keep the laws. Then allow everyone else to inherit the kingdom WITHOUT following those laws that 10s of millions were previously punished for. THAT DOES NOT MAKE SINCE. Our father is just and righteous. This is how we know that we should be keeping the laws. Plus, it's in the BIBLE.

He's indeed just and righteous, but we aren't. There's no way we can keep all several hundred laws in this day and age perfectly, especially the ones regarding the sacrificial system. This isn't to say Torah is made void, for our faith is shown through our works. Besides, Abraham was told he'd be a father to many nations, and the prophet Isaiah states His servant (Israel) would be a light to the nations. The eternal words of God and Jesus are given to all men through Israel. I think that should be something we celebrate.

We are not connected to a camp but we listen to teachings from a variety of camps along with Dante Fortson, Stephen Darby, We Woke Now, as well as others.
I believe that there is no one that has it 100% right but we pray, read the Bible and seek the Father and do the best that we can. When the Messiah returns then we will have a better understanding. Some camps believe certain things that we don’t believe. Eat the meat and throw away the bones.
I caution just staying in the NLT. Parallel Bibles and using Bible apps to compare different translations are helpful.

Your experiences and understanding of things are valid. The Bible states that ANYONE who proclaims Christ as the son of God will receive the kingdom of heaven. Even the Jews, Christ reprimanded and said they were sons of the devil, for they did not accept him (John 8:39-47).
I like that you were asked, "Do you know Jesus?" and you thought about it. That is really great you didn't get mad at the question, but sought out answers.
Jesus said the highest commandment (after loving the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength) is to love thy neighbor as thyself. The amount of hate in these comments makes me understand how people clamored for Him to be crucified. It is so easy to be full of self, pumped up with false specialness, and worry about who’s “chosen” and what not. The hard thing to do is love others, not worry about if you’re better than other people. God bless you, sister. If people read the Bible, they’d know that Israelites will go through the tribulation, and they wouldn’t be fighting so hard to be one.

For me, I never got into a camp, but I did deep dive into the rabbit whole of information after praying to God for guidance on whether not the images of Jesus and other biblical historical figures in the publications my former bible study conductors gave me were valid (I was raised a JW). Needless to say, Yah opened my eyes to so much information that I really had to pace myself at times. My dad got really into it too and it gave him a sense of identity apart from the one that hes always been minimized to by American society. For me, I eventually began to realize that 1.) Yes I understand that the image of Jesus has been misrepresented by modern day Christianity and 2.) That we are the descendants of the Hebrew Israelites, but it became increasingly difficult to focus on who Christ is and my identity in Him. Not to mention how I also felt condemned to some degree because Im also mixed. According to some camps, mixing of races is prohibited. When found that out, it made me feel like I was an abomination to God for being mixed, or not of "pure Hebrew Israelite" blood and that the only way to fix it is to marry another black person so my descendants will turn out right. Along with that, there was so much pride emanating from many of the people in these camps (not all obviously!). And now Im kinda at the point its like I know what Jesus is suppose to look like (or more like what he didnt look like when he was here on earth), and I know according to scriptural what Hes done for the world, but what how does this affect me? What does it mean for me that Christ died for MY sins? I've read the Gospel back and forth countless of times since, but its hard for me to wrap my head around certain things. Getting caught up in and solely focusing on all of this has prevented me from truly understanding who Christ is. Thats basically all I'm really trying to focus on right now.

I empathize with you. Read it from front to back. It is a historical document that should be read from front to back. It's hard to get an understanding if you start towards the end. You would not open any other book towards the end and expect to get a full understanding. I had to get out of that mindset but once I better understood the law and prophets then it was easier to understand the gospels. It's okay to not know what every single thing means, it's not meant for most to know. I had to be patient with myself. Fast & pray for understanding & have faith that God will show you what you are meant to learn. My mother was "white", my father is "black". I know your struggle. You are who your father is according to the bible. I think it's important for the women to learn their role and what God wants us to do. It's important for us to be well learned so we don't get led astray. Seek His face with a humble heart and He will show you what you need to know.

I will say this , there is a difference between ''Israelite Camp" doctrine and those who have awaken to this way of life through much reflection, prayer and revelation and study. Your insinuation that Christians doesn't believe that "OT law" should be kept, is out of context, at best. You do realize there isn't 1 "Christian Church ", right? In regards to ceremonial or sacrificial laws- yes....that was the entire point of Jesus' sacrifice. We no longer ha e to pay in blood,because his blood paid our price. UT the moral laws are just as valid today and I can't think of any denomination of Christian that espouses or teaches otherwise. Do you practice blood atonement or animal sacrifice? I've NEVER heard any real, mentally well Christian telling anyone that you have to eat pork, or other "unclean" animals. Neither have you. There are also some Christian denominations that adhere pretty strongly to Old Testament Laws, such as 7th Day Adventist.
We as Christian obey the law because we are saved and the Holy Spirit guides us to all truth I don’t know what you are talking about that we don’t keep God commandments . If you are truly saved he will remain inside of you and help you to fulfil his commandment. Everyone that says they follow Jesus Christ doesn’t mean they really are following him be the fruits you shall know if they are following him. All Israelite are not the same. Your experience with that group was with that group. Persons not understanding may see your experience as truth for every Israelite body.
You’re right in saying that not all Israelite groups are the same, I definitely learned that during my time with them (I was a part of multiple camps) but I did learn that the basic doctrine of what the Israelites believe is generally the same, from the less extreme to the ones on the street. They all have a basic teaching of who the “chosen” people are and how the law relates to today. All of them teach a doctrine that’s just not biblical or even historically correct.

A mixed multitude of people but biblical and they call themselves Hebrew Israelites while also believing the original people were of a black folk. I haven't seen anything non biblical about them yet although I don't think any man or people will get everything perfectly.

Though the wage of sin was death, people who sinned weren't being struck down where they stood. If atonement and a blood sacrifice was required in the OT, for those that don't believe in Jesus, what blood sacrifice is being used to cover their sin?

We do that before we make purchase of material things, why not do so for something on which your life sits depending on the choices you make?. Anyone joining a Church, a Movement of any kind of Association for the soul purpose of getting to know Jesus, will be grossly deceived, because Christ will not be found in any man made building or movement but in the word of God. This was made very clear in his conversation with Nicodemus and the Samaritans woman when Christ said, those coming to the father must now do so in the Spirit and truth. I have never joined this movement, because listening to them on the streets it is clear to me their approach is very militant in nature. and they appear over Zealous which according to the scripture, zeal can be misdirected, and discovering who you are in no way should give you the right to laud it over others. This in my opinion can be misdirected zeal. And I'll give you an example.Yeshua, or Jesus Christ as most knows him, was born into the tribe of Judah, which was the tribe living in the land together with Benjamin, the other ten being dispersed. These two morphed into each other and were called Jews. Judah had sinned, went into exile and upon their return to the land decided to follow the law but became over zealous to the point where they started misconstrueding the law. Matthew15:1-20, the Jewish religious leaders of the day accused Christ of disobeying age-old traditions and teaching his disciples to do the same. Jesus reply let them know their age - old traditions was actually violating the direct commandments of God. I can give you many more examples of this where Christ will say, " It is said, but I say" Jesus came to fulfill and at the same time soften the law, so instead of you do you die, it became you do, you repent and sin no more. Their belief in and application of the age-old laws is what caused them to sign him off for execution. I did not have to sit in any church or movement to figure out if they were running along those old condemned line, because I have the word of God always in my heart because I studied it for myself. We don't play Adam and Eve and start looking to blame others when we violate God's laws. The word is given to each of us, that's why Paul had high praises for the Bereans. Acts 17:10-12; When you do not get into the habit of self-educating on the word of God, you can end up in churches or group hopping and while all of these institutions may offer some truth, half truth is not truth. Your walk with the Lord has to be personal in order for it to be effective because that's how we defeat the enemy by sharing the love of Jesus that we personally experienced and letting others know this love can be had by everyone who is willing to make Christ their Lord and savior. We are living on the brink of time and our approach should not be that of someone consuming things that are bad for them then go running looking for antacids because what we ate is giving us indigestion. Study the word of God with the help of the Holy Spirit and you will be guided into all truth as promised through the scriptures. This teaching that we are going to be kings and queens with the rest of the world groveling at our feet is baseless and erroneous. As believers, we are not led by Moses as was Israel in ancient days, but by the Spirit of Yeshua the Christ. If you had the word of God your time in any one of these places would've been so short you will not have anything to report, so you entered these gates misdirected and exited ill-informed. As I said, every one of these organizations will offer you a slither of truth and if you are not careful you may find yourself hopping from one to the next looking for your truth. Jesus said, in the last days many will come in his name preaching he is the Christ and will deceive many. Christ made it clear that some of them will put yokes on you that they themselves are unwilling to carry. So my advice to everyone is to look before you leap, don't leap and fall and then go crying because you failed to read the sign that says, beware of false prophets and carefully examine the vehicle before you are about to purchase, less you buy cat in bag.

In my experience, I’ve found that God is a father who WANTS his children to know him (much like you would if your children were separated from you) ..which means fortunately for us there is a clear path to him.
