I am currently taking my locs down after 6 months. I was experiencing soreness at the roots, thinning, and real bad itching. My locs is real dry like crunchy dry. So I am currently combing them out. Idk if it was the size or what.. I was going to a professional Not for my hair texture I guess.

In all honesty, I was trying to follow this story, and I kid you not, I played it three times and still haven't gotten beyond the rambling of it was not fulfilling to her. If I am going to warn someone of anything or anyone, I need to be clear and very specific so as to not confuse anyone. This story seem to be centered on her exiting the Hebrew Isreaelite movement and while many were agreeing or commending her for doing so, it is clear some doing so seem to also have had some sort of not so good experience with this group. What you may be trying to get out is synonymous with mainly every religious touting organizations out there. This is why it is important to conduct your own bible study so you know what you are investing in. We do that before we make purchase of material things, why not do so for something on which your life sits depending on the choices you make?. Anyone joining a Church, a Movement of any kind of Association for the soul purpose of getting to know Jesus, will be grossly deceived, because Christ will not be found in any man made building or movement but in the word of God. This was made very clear in his conversation with Nicodemus and the Samaritans woman when Christ said, those coming to the father must now do so in the Spirit and truth. I have never joined this movement, because listening to them on the streets it is clear to me their approach is very militant in nature. and they appear over Zealous which according to the scripture, zeal can be misdirected, and discovering who you are in no way should give you the right to laud it over others. This in my opinion can be misdirected zeal. And I'll give you an example.Yeshua, or Jesus Christ as most knows him, was born into the tribe of Judah, which was the tribe living in the land together with Benjamin, the other ten being dispersed. These two morphed into each other and were called Jews. Judah had sinned, went into exile and upon their return to the land decided to follow the law but became over zealous to the point where they started misconstrueding the law. Matthew15:1-20, the Jewish religious leaders of the day accused Christ of disobeying age-old traditions and teaching his disciples to do the same. Jesus reply let them know their age - old traditions was actually violating the direct commandments of God. I can give you many more examples of this where Christ will say, " It is said, but I say" Jesus came to fulfill and at the same time soften the law, so instead of you do you die, it became you do, you repent and sin no more. Their belief in and application of the age-old laws is what caused them to sign him off for execution. I did not have to sit in any church or movement to figure out if they were running along those old condemned line, because I have the word of God always in my heart because I studied it for myself. We don't play Adam and Eve and start looking to blame others when we violate God's laws. The word is given to each of us, that's why Paul had high praises for the Bereans. Acts 17:10-12; When you do not get into the habit of self-educating on the word of God, you can end up in churches or group hopping and while all of these institutions may offer some truth, half truth is not truth. Your walk with the Lord has to be personal in order for it to be effective because that's how we defeat the enemy by sharing the love of Jesus that we personally experienced and letting others know this love can be had by everyone who is willing to make Christ their Lord and savior. We are living on the brink of time and our approach should not be that of someone consuming things that are bad for them then go running looking for antacids because what we ate is giving us indigestion. Study the word of God with the help of the Holy Spirit and you will be guided into all truth as promised through the scriptures. This teaching that we are going to be kings and queens with the rest of the world groveling at our feet is baseless and erroneous. As believers, we are not led by Moses as was Israel in ancient days, but by the Spirit of Yeshua the Christ. If you had the word of God your time in any one of these places would've been so short you will not have anything to report, so you entered these gates misdirected and exited ill-informed. As I said, every one of these organizations will offer you a slither of truth and if you are not careful you may find yourself hopping from one to the next looking for your truth. Jesus said, in the last days many will come in his name preaching he is the Christ and will deceive many. Christ made it clear that some of them will put yokes on you that they themselves are unwilling to carry. So my advice to everyone is to look before you leap, don't leap and fall and then go crying because you failed to read the sign that says, beware of false prophets and carefully examine the vehicle before you are about to purchase, less you buy cat in bag.

It's their desire to be superior. To make people feel like they don't know God or Jesus Christ, is the trick of the Devil. They spend hours pouring over ways to discredit Jesus, and cause you to question your relationship with Him. Then they push and pick until you find yourself questioning what you know. Let the Holy Spirit guide you, not man. God is not a man, that he should lie. Learn and know him for yourself.

13:01 the difference between you and others, is your desire and willingness to seek the truth. Many Christians who attend church, literally just GO to church. They don't listen or actually hear God's word, which makes them a perfect target for these "truth seeking cult-like groups. They don't see the red flags you did, so they grasp on to whatever they're told, not having or ignoring the wisdom and discernment to see the lies, for what they are. Some are too smart for their own good and get lost in the deceptive teachings. The moment you open yourself to knowing the truth, and asking the Holy Spirit to show the truth, as you did, you ears and eyes of understanding will open you to a world of understanding and knowing God.

6:21 there were 613 commandments in the OT, yet the 10 seem to get the focus, and keeping the Sabbath being one of them. Yet those were Mosic Law meant for the Isrealites, so they would only need to be observed by those that the commandments were intended for? There was no way to remain sinless, according to the OT, and the Isrealites were certainly unable to keep them, even if meant specifically for them. Though the wage of sin was death, people who sinned weren't being struck down where they stood. If atonement and a blood sacrifice was required in the OT, for those that don't believe in Jesus, what blood sacrifice is being used to cover their sin?

3:18 how can this claim be substantiated? There were other black or dark skinned people during that time. Some of these very people could be Egyptian, Samaritan, Philistine, etc. How does one group of people just claim THEY are the true Chosen People, just because of the color of their skin?

Shabbat Shalom! I know it's about bloodline, not camps, religion, buildings, and denominations. My spirit didn't sit right with them. I'm not into RELIGION because the Most High Yah is not a religion. I limit myself on who I watch. I do keep the Shabbat on Saturday, and I read the Cepher, Holy Scriptures, and KJV. I don't go into the brick and mortar building, which is called the church. I watch certain people, study with my husband, and allow the Ruach Ha'qodesh( holy spirit)teach me.

I love your natural hair and locs! They are wonderful. When I was in high school I would straighten my hair which took forever. My hair is wavy and sometimes looks crimped to people. I curled it for a while when I was in my twenties and early thirties. For the past several years I have kept everything normal and am much happier to keep it as such. I don't dye my hair (though if I become all grey I will probably dye it because I want to feel like me). I had dyed my hair red for ten years (I have redheaded brothers), had dreadlocks for a year (did it twice for a few months each but got uni-dreads because of my crimped texture grabbing at them and I just got tired of trying to rip them apart all the time - so much maintenance on them - which I used Dr. Bronners which washed them so great), had cotton candy blue hair in 2012/2013 for a few months, and yeah since it was so so damaged after that, I just kept it natural. I LOVED seeing all the photos of your hair over the years (and you in general). Always gorgeous!!!

Thank you for this. I am three weeks into my loc journey. The shrinkage is so real and my hair is shorter than yours at your starting point. It’s so different from I the short haircuts or TWAs I usually wear. Definitely taking some getting used to but I’m glad I finally did it. As you said, I will trust the process. Thanks for sharing.

I live in a town on a busy road lots of vehicles and people noise all around for me slow quiet living for me comes from within yourself it the creativity, focus is on home what you value in life, the little everyday things love of your family and to the beauty within yourself to share with others, the practice of the stillness from within is unlearning to rush, to untick all the to do or to be, its stepping back, life goes on all around us bills have to be paid food needs to be bought, grown prepared and eaten, the house needs jobs to be done, conflicts and worries will arises with others, finding your own niche within all of it and be grateful that you are there to be part of it all and cultivate the peace from within slow living is accessible to everyone to choose if its a fit from them in their life its a choice
