Hey Guys!
Today I had the day off so i spent it working on my car and making a video for you guys!
Trying to install my new 8 sensor multi camera parking aid system.
So far so good!

I fit loads of sensors on heaps of different cars. Biggest tip I can give is to use a measuring tap which is fabric, like the ones you use to measure your waist.that way you can measure off the bumper not the ground as the ground can give you the wrong height/measurements. Nice video brother
Very cool James. Looks a good kit. Often if you remove the bumpers there is already the OEM markings for the parking sensors.
James most new cars now have the trailer harness module. It is to do with current draw from the extra lights of a trailer. So its either for ecu/module protection or so that the trailer lights don't affect the current sensing which informs the bcm of a blown bulb.
I'm wondering: Although the 2 or 4 sensors at the rear are activated by the reverse, how could 2 or 4 sensors installed on the front be activated? Would the front ones have to be permanently on when the ignition is on?
how you got 12v from/(for) brake light? (for the front sensors) i tried to connect it on each of the wires (one was green and one was white with black stripe) and it didnt work..what should i do? (btw i have a toyota prius 2007)
Great work James👍🏼
great video. Hope your channel grows.
Great video...great patience ;)
Heard you say summer so i took the video out of full screen to look at the upload date and i forgot that side of the world is getting hot at this time lol
Ur awesome. Now can u make a video of all of that working as of today. That would be great.
Great work!
dose casey galsses tho
Is there a top & bottom to those front & rear cameras? i'm afraid to buy some from China, only to wait 3 weeks to find that, to get the proper angle, i turn it on and the guide lines are upside down! Same for round ones upside-down or way off-center. And if i go with 4 cams, if i'm gonna drill into the bottoms of my electric, heated mirrors with built-in turn signals, i'm gonna want them to point BACK at the car that'll hit me, NOT forward, so I may need to reverse the image too...
Paint matches perfectly, I have five small dogs with strange personalities. You're enjoying your summer time weather but here in southern Arizona we just now got down below 80°F with 5% humidity. Would it be worth it to shorten those sensor cables especially for a customer's car? Thanks
No we don’t shorten the cables Because cutting them could potentially void warranty and cause the modeler to receive a different signal due to lowered impedance.
❤️🐶
Love your videos James. Very informative and detailed I find. Learning a few things also here and there for my next car audio install :)
I'll ask questions as I go thru the video...
I wondered about painting the sensors but found a kit that has a really close red version, so do they recommend painting them, or do they say any specific do's or don'ts about painting the sensors?
How many sensors does it need on each end of the car? I have a GMC Envoy XUV and I don't know where to mount the box since the XUV is like a closed up SUV one way, or open like a pickup truck the other way (similar to Chevy Avalanche), so it's not a simple wiring job since part time, it's exposed to the weather (and has special drains in the floor for hosing out the cargo area.) That's why I'm stuck on mounting & wiring a backup camera too...
From what I've read on painting the sensors to match the paint of your particular car, just avoid paint with any metal fragments in it because that may cause interference with the radar system in the sensors. Otherwise, depending on your preference, leaving them unpainted for contrast is also an option.
Nice job Mate :)
I was following your Subaru legacy sensors install which is great btw. But I can't seem to find a 12v for the reverse wire to connect to so the sensors turn on, i have tried all the wires in the tail light but nothing. Any help would be great. Also it's a subaru sedan 2013 legacy.
got it sorted. tapped into the reverse camera (brown and yellow) wire in the driver's foot well.
Does it work for driving too when someone gets too close to you
Really nice video.
Great vedio lodi. Keep it up. Thanks for sharing. Godbless
Great Video James!! Got a link to the camera and the sensors where you got them?
Yup in the description of the video where I inboxed them a couple of videos ago.
Chinese sensors are very sensitive they give beeps for very minor obstacles like cat eyes. What is the solution how to decide height of installation as instructions are not clear. Looking forward for your kind reply. Thanks
The reason for the five Chanel relay is needed because there is not enough current to power the rear LED lights and the old fashion tungsten lights on the trailer. I have the same thing on my Mazda.
My tail lights aren’t Led but yeah I do get the point of it.
Car Audio.etc more upgrades for Judy then??
Why not buy pre painted sensors, not the black one?
Where’s the rest of this video ? I need to see the way you connected it to the head unit. Great video thanks !
Where are u from wby is it so sunny thier? And so cold here in Washington? 🤔😅😅
Christchurch in New Zealand. We're in summer now ;)
You didn't go for the smaller sensors?
Just in case anyone is taking painting tips, an hour between coats of colour is far, far too much. In Aussie heat 5-6 mins is a more realistic time. 10 -15 in cooler climates. Clear can go on pretty much straight after, within 24 hours.
Rear parking sensor activated by Reverse parking light. Then how the front parking sensor activated? Where is the Front parking light? 🥺🤔
Where is PART 2? You should put the Part 2 video link in the description
How do i order the kit
44:00 you should not fast forward it. That's the important bit your viewers want to see, how to feed the wires safely & right way
