As a jags fan if the bills pulled it off vs the Titans the jaguars were gonna win the superbowl. Titans were the only team to beat the jaguars in 1999.

They made it to the Super Bowl, so it’s not really underrated if you end up playing in the sport’s biggest game (but losing to the St. Louis Rams was heartbreaking for them).

For those saying that it was a forward pass, please read (I'm sick of y'all trolling videos like this):
First, you can't look at the position of the players in order to determine the EXACT path of the ball (even the TV broadcasters said this during the game). You have to look at only the ball itself and the yard markers. The position of the players DOES NOT MATTER!
Second, those same broadcasters went from "that was a forward pass!" to "it's a lateral!" after watching replay over and over again. If you watch footage of the game, in real time, you can see how replay convinced the broadcasters of the correct call... exactly what replay is suppose to do.
Thirdly, even *if* it was a forward pass, it wouldn't have made that much difference on the actual execution of the play. The rule was intended to prevent teams from throwing the ball downfield in order to gain a big chunk of yards. It was *not* intended to prevent a ball possibly traveling an inch forward on any given lateral attempt. Sometimes, as many officials have to, you have to take into account the *intention* of the rule, rather than just the rule itself (this is the very reason why people had problems with the "tuck rule" call only a year after this very play happened, because the tuck rule call was made based on the letter of the law and not based on clear intention of the play). The intention was to not throw the ball down the field, but to throw it across the field as even with the field as possible. This is something that has to be taken into consideration when analyzing the play.
In any event, the play happened, it was executed perfectly, and the call was made for it to stand. According to NFL records, they play was 100% legal, which you can't argue against.
Case closed. Now please y'all stop being trolls and move on with your lives. Thank you.

Wycheck is about 6 inches behind the line with his foot and he throws almost a sidearm pass. He was at least a foot in front of the 25 with his hand. Then pause it at Dyson and his right foot is about even with where wychecks foot was, but he is reaching down and to the right and his hands look right on the line where he catches it. We should meet in the middle and say that it actually did go forward. The passer was behind the 25-yard line, the receiver was over the 25-yard line. The ball's trajectory was straight enough that it could be called a lateral pass, but there's definitely room to say that it traveled forward slightly.
