- Looking to earn Astarion's favor as fast as possible so you can romance him for the camp celebration and beyond? Follow this guide for maximum approval! This also helps to get his scenes to trigger in the first Act. Will update accordingly when the game launches with any changes.
EDIT: This video is still pretty accurate with the launch of the game. I'll try to make an update when I can. Given it's still pretty spot on, I'll just mention the ones that didn't work in my launch game. Peeping on the bugbear didn't trigger for me and neither did the scene after giving Mayrina her zombie husband.
0:00 Intro
2:41 Beginning of the Game
3:28 Druid Grove
7:08 On the Way to Town
9:08 Blighted Village
11:20 Hag's Swamp
14:54 Goblin Camp

EDIT: I just realized I forgot one of my clips! The one for kissing Crusher's foot in the goblin camp and using sleight of hand to steal the ring does work again as of patch 9!

Peeping on the bugbear didn't trigger for me and neither did the scene after giving Mayrina her zombie husband.
There are also some that are working again that I'll have to add in.. like for instance making Crusher kiss your foot.
When I got to the siblings before the goblin camp, the tadpool came out of Edowin but I didn't get the prompt to crush it?
I wish they had kept the zombie husband one, I was so sad when it didn't trigger and came here to see if I was doing it wrong since it used to work *sigh*
Do you need to trigger the bite night scene before the Gur encounter?
@@kyleaj7414 yes, or you basically dont know why Astarion killed him you talk about it later
I don't like being evil in these type of games but I saw this man and I've never been more chaotic neutral in my life. I can't kill the tieflings but man I've done all the rest! I simp so hard for Astarion!!!! I can't wait for full release to get my full romance scene and hug that crap out of him!!!
I tend to play chaotic neutral myself these days.. and it actually blends very well with him.
I play a Drow in Baldur's Gate. Playing somewhat evil and/or chaotic is very easy when playing a Drow. Astarion totally loved my Drow in my playthrough lol.
I’m definitely chaotic neutral. I play good in some areas and deceptive in others. He essentially just likes being deceptive and being super loyal to him
@@laclarte3hey so I saw some spoilers and there’s a scene where a drow wants him to bite her because she’s got a fetish for vampires and he says he doesn’t want to. If he doesn’t like drow blood, why would he love drinking our blood when we play as a drow?
you can turn on the non-lethal mod saves you from killing the tieflings
If you manage to intimidate Kagha you can let Arabella live, you just have to tell her "I just wanted to see what would happen" afterwards. Astarion approved of that for me 😊
Good bc i love him but im not tryna let the kid die
so interestingly I think there's another way to get astarion approval from nettie
not like it matters now
but basically you lie to her to get the potion, then say "I'll drink the potion if it comes to that"
*poison, not potion
then he is like wtf really and you're like 'fuck no, I was just lying'
he loves that
Yes, I do kind of remember doing this from awhile back. I haven't tried it in a long time though.. I'll check it on the next game.
@@Mmogurl I read that you can get approval from Astarion by giving the unholy tome "Necromancy of Thay" to him as he asks, instead of giving it to Gale (to consume its Weave) or reading the tome yourself. The problem is, while the book is easy to get from the cellar of the Apothecary house at the entrace of Blighted Village (just find the hidden entrance, sneak/fight past the undead and talk to the magic mirror, then have Astarion disable the traps on the locked room and below the tome), you have to unlock thedamn book first before you get the option to hand it over, and the damn gemstone you need to unlock is down in the phase spider's lair (Whispering Depth) down the well in Blighted Village. And I never managed to survive that fight. And Mage Hand is utterly useless in the game, the exact opposite to tabletop D&D.
@@adri_144unfortunately it's an rng conversation
Oh crap I wish I had seen this comment cos I messed up the dialogue here!
what does rng mean? @@alpaca6462
I love Astarion's reason for telling Auntie Ethel about the tadpole. "She seems positively demented. Let's tell her everything!" as he giggles.
It's interesting how variable everything is. Raphael came to us at the fork between the beach & bard at the grove.
I know!! He came to me when I was heading to the risen road!!
I played several different characters and they all got him in that fork in the grove. I wonder what quest or choice triggers his appearance.
First time I saw him in one game was just after I dealt with the harpies and I had just made it back into the druid area.
Second time, in another game, was that place with a wooden (I forget the word) uhh watch tower? and a spider nest nearby with a campfire. Jump-scared me as I was moving away from the top of the ladder.
I'm starting to understand why it's been so hard to get Astarion to like me, but Gale almost instantly fell in love with me 😂 i chose the opposite of basically all these options. Time to be a bit more chaotic on my next playthrough!
Yeah, I used to be Gale's favorite.. but now he disapproves of everything I do since Astarion and I got so tight xD
Playing for the first time (just entered act 3), and I believe I have Gale in the 80-90 approval and he's my highest approval character without even trying 😅 Astarion is flat 0, though, so I hope I'll get some more him-quests to boost it. I had to yeet him from my party somewhere in act 1 because he kept disapproving of EVERYTHING I did and I was afraid he'd go into negatives lmao.
You can still get his approval to very high or exceptional by the night of the camp party if you play a good character. It's things that affect him personally that will get/lose you the most points. You don't have to do anything heinous or cruel. I did a test run once where I played as an evil character but was also an asshole to him personally and by the end of it I had "very low" approval from him.
are you sure? it doesn't seem entirely possible to me that you play the hero and make choices he dislikes and even then you can still romance him. i'd like this to be true ofc cuz he was my 1st choice but i'm not going to change my character's personality for him. do you remember how much of an approval you need with him?
@@adri_144 I'm playing good character and I'm with him... I'm not 100% a hero, but I'm not bad neither. Just play gray character tipping the balance towards the good
@@adri_144I’m good. I’ve saved everyone I promised to. The thing he wants the most is being loyal and flirty w/him and being deceptive when the need arises. I have a high approval w 2 sex “scenes” and haven’t even gone to the under dark 😭😭
@@kaylayouman975 what choices exactly you did?
He’s very much “if it benefits me/doesn’t affect me.” He is the definition of the chaotic neutral done amazingly. He is scared which he hides with flirting and banter. He doesn’t want to die or be enslaved again which is why forcing him to bite the drow in Act 2 (?) ends any chance of romance with him.
I SWEAR I MADE A WISH A WEEK AGO THAT SOMEONE COULD MAKE A FULL ON GUIDE OF HOW TO GET ALL THE SCENES W HIM UR AN ANGEL
I saw every single one of his scenes on the last playthrough.. so it certainly works!
I see Astarion, I am here. 😍
HAHAAH and it's not clickbait! :) This is like a whole video of Astarion!
I forgot to add the part with Crusher's ring T_T I will do a more comprehensive one once the game comes out.. but this I'm hoping will stay the same.
@@Mmogurl I know, and I'm here for it. I can't, not see this man and comment on a video with him in it. This is what I am known / not known for.
Another good non-evil option for Astarion approval, if you or one of your companions are a bard and cast 'speak with animals', talk to the little bluebird Topaz in the Druid's Grove. Use the bard option to trick the bird into singing and steal the gold and key from the nest while it's distracted
Astarion, my chaotic little vampire, let me count the ways you are loved by the fans.
heheh
The mirror under Blighted Village, Intimidate it, and Astarion approves
You can save Arabella and still get his approval. Talk to Kagha and when she says you think she's a monster, say you just wanted to see what would happen. He likes that. Then she calls *you* a monster lol. In that same conversation you can say you came on behalf of Zevlor. Choose to attack her in the dialog and Astarion will approve.
After you let Sazza die, if Astarion's conversation procs, talk to him and say something like a cornered animal will do anything to survive.
Thank you for this! I'm happy to know I don't have to let her die!
Yes, I did this and it happened exactly like that!
With Nettie, you can get approval by taking the poison but not promising to drink it. Astarion will laugh and congratulate you on duping her. I've got it twice, though not with the latest patch. I sadly don't exactly remember how.
I keep on getting disaproval for even accepting the poison.
@@screamingopossum7809 Yeah it's super finiky, I'm really not sure exactly how to do it. I don't remember doing anything special but I've messed it up more often then it's worked. But it does work, somehow.
@@ArdannaLI think you can either swear that you will take it (lose approval) and lie to her that you will take it and gain approval? Not sure it's been a while since I played EA.
@@wiktoriajedrzejewska7287 Yeah but I'm not sure how to get the lie option, it's not always there.
@@ArdannaLMight be connected with if your character is proficent in deception I guess.
The more I look into your findings the more I feel that Astarion can be seen as a fairly "good" guy who is just ironical/cynical to the extreme. A lot of the very awful things to say he approves of also feel like he approves if you would say very ironically like he loves to say a lot of things with a sarcastic tone. I don't feel him as being necessarily evil but mostly selfish and hyper sarcastic/cynical.
I totally agree. When I started to play at first I was like ''Well crap he approves of things that I wouldn't approve I will have to make some more evil decisions, to make him like me at least''. Now I don't really see him as ''evil'' character anymore. His personality is more of a chaotic neutral to me at this point, I think? Surely he has a thing for sadistic stuff but at the same time it looks like we will be able to persuade him, into becoming a better person. He does not seem like he hates being good. He needs someone he can trust, if he finally does then he is going to commit ''good acts'', because he won't perceive the world and people as so cruel anymore. He is not evil, he is hurt and carries a lot of pain inside of him. Maybe it is already a stretch but I feel like if we influence him well, he can become one of the best (if not the best) companions, in terms of redemption and gaining good nature. People say that he is going to betray our Tav. To be fully honest I trust him more than I trust Gale for example.
he used to be judge so... he must be good
He approves of Tav provoking the fight between Aradin and Zevlor.
Also, when you have your first conversation with Zevlor, if you straight up refuse to help with the goblin problem, you get Astarion approval!
I think they changed the one with Zevlor at the start of the grove.. I tried doing it a couple times recently and it wasn't working. I wonder if it's like the one with the goblin guard tho and it isn't always showing properly?
@@Mmogurl ohhhh okay; maybe they changed it in the most recent patch? I swear that upped his approval rating since 2021?ish. Maybe they’ll add it back for the full release.
I’ve been watching your Baldur’s Gate content for years now, keep the vids coming; thank you for putting all this effort in! 🙏🏾
A recent Larian comment post seems to imply Astarion can eventually turn you into a vampire bride/bro, probably after killing his master. It also suggests you can, with effort, change the alignment of your paramour. Anyone up for "saving" Astarion, or do you wanna leave him as he is?
Although for my first playthru I might play AS Astarion just to learn his story first hand!
Saving Astarion from his master? Of course... But I like his personality as he is, that's what makes him unique, even if he is a bit evil sometimes XD
I wonder if it's still possible to romance him doing a "good" or good-ish route. You know, the whole "I can change him" sort of thing, at least to a degree. Like the type of romance where you don't just jump in and do everything they want, but eventually they start to maybe be a little less evil.
i think that is going thru everyone's head.. it'll be interesting to see where it goes
It’s pretty tough right now I had to be at least neutral to get enough approval 😭
Given what I know of another character I really wanted to romance in a Larian game (The Red Prince) which I then found out didn’t really involve him changing for the better, and the ending for the ‘romance’ just was meh... alright.. guess I meant nothing to you idk if this romance will go the way many people would want it to if it really doesn’t fit the character.
Maybe I’ll just play Astarion as an origin to see if that’ll help? That way I get to romance people as him I guess and then maybe force character development by playing as him???
Yes, you can. I did it
It certainly feels possible, as long as you're not a judgy lawful good type. Ofc, we don't know anything for sure regarding the full game, but from all the conversations in EA it seems like he can go either "power at any cost" or "just be free" route, at the very least.
Found your channel a year or two back covering early access, glad to see you are back, especially covering romance stuff. Lots of people covering the basics of BG3, not many going into roleplaying details for romances or other fun bits, like the dog collar video or the one on the Ardent Apostle. I hope to see you around after the bg3 launch.
The romance and flavor stuff is my favorite part of the game! I'll be around for as long as the game keeps me ensnared and I can think of thinks to make videos about :)
Update: Astarion's response to Mayrena's husband is no longer there.
This is sooo helpful! Thank you very much. I took a break from EA about a year ago to not get bored by the early parts of the game, so I felt like I needed to get back into my mindset to romance Astarion :D Sometimes it frightens me a little what he enjoys (that poor bird, to name one of the examples) but I really like that you pointed out that not all of those things are necessary to make progress in the relationship.
I believe it will even be beneficial in the long term not to go along with everything he wants if the player's Tav is good-aligned, so maybe we can influence him a little to show more compassion from time to time. (And yes, I know, I know. This is only a longer way to say: "But I can fix him!!")
You can definitely play nicer and still get his approval up.. but just nowhere near as quickly. I'm going to do another game soon I think and work on Gale and Astarion at the same time to see if it's still doable. ;D
Think there are two more Astarion's approvals checks that you didn't mentioned. One of them is about the book of necromancy (choosing to give it to him when you get the key and the book, obviously). The second one is when you go to rescue Halsin and there are a few goblins throwing stones to the bear... Can't remember very well, but i think you have to participate in throwing another stone too or convince them to keep going torturing the poor bear.
Thank you @Mmogurl for this guide ;)
I am so tempted to do my first playthrough as a dark urge fighting their urge and romance Astarion, the possibility. then again Astarion reactions to giving into the urge could be hilarious 😂
Literally me right now.
So happy to see you back making BG3 content, I'm so excited for the full game and I have been watching your videos for 2 years through early access
Awesome! yeah I am down to make some good stuff now that we're finally seeing the game launch!
Thank you for this amazing guide! Will definitely be romancing Astarion. Happy to see you're posting again! ❤
Heyy!! Long time no see!
I just got some Astarion approval from a side quest I did. Once you've gotten full access around the Emerald Grove (I did this after I got rid of Kagha), you can explore the beach near the cliff you meet Alfira where you'll hear enchanting singing.
You need to walk all the way down to the water and encounter a tiefling child being lured by harpys. Once you get rid of the harpys, the child speaks to you. Pick the option where you threaten/scold the child about the harpys returning if they don't leave. Astarion gets a kick out of it and gives you a point of approval. It does take away an approval point from Karlach though, so be careful if you like her too.
So happy to see you back again!
Thank you for this guide. It’s really informative and I can’t wait to use it after launch. I look forward to being obsessed with him again. 🤤
Always love your content, especially Astarion content!
I'm ABSOLUTELY torn with how to go about things, just based on how Larian has explained the mechanics of the romances. I thought I had a gameplan, and now I'm worried lol.
All I know for certain, is how much I wanna finish my game with this man by Tav's side and Tav by his.
Crossing my fingers I achieve what I'm hoping for!
Using the powers looks like it'll be you and him against the world based on the other companions responses lmao.
And it seems to me, the more opportunity you have him use 'bite' I think nets you a lot of approval. I haven't gotten the chance to test it extensively myself, but I seemed to get quite high doing this even though I didn't pick too many of the approval options for him.
I'm still so curious to see where using the powers will get you.. Like the dream lover is still so intriguing to me! But yeah.. I know with the bites even during the romance scene if you bare you neck to him, and invite him to bite he approves of that too.. So it makes sense he'd like it every time you let him snack on you.
@@Mmogurl yeah that bite of course! But I mean the one in combat, the ability that gives him a small heal and the happy buff lol
The queen is back! Sooo happy to see you back with Astarion content just in time for the full release! I can't wait to see your takes on his whole entire story.
Thanks! I identified Astarion as the Origin character I want to 100% have in my group the first run, good video!
also on the baa'ing at the redcaps i was able to baa at 2 of them and get astarion's approval for both, tried it on a third, didn't get any dialogue options so you might just be able to do it twice
I am really glad you are making videos again!
I got Astarion to the point he had "variable" trust with me and once I gave him the Necromancy of Thay tome, he jumped up to a trusted approval and it triggered the confession and romance scene. I think you get higher approval on things that more personally affect him? I didn't do many of the more "evil" options listed as I'm playing with other players. We take turns taking our NPC romances out places so we all get approvals.
Girl, I’m so happy you’re back 🎉
Omg yay you’re back!!! I’ve been looking for your videos especially as I have to wait for bf3 to come to my ps5
You really only need to be the tiniest bit mean by simply avoiding disapproval losses. So far in EA we can go back and forth from the camp multiple times a day to swap out party members. If Astarion doesn't see you doing something goodie two shoes he remains blissfully ignorant. Same goes with any companion, if you know when they will disapprove of something send them to camp for like five minutes. While in the druid grove you don't need to have the whole party with you all of the time. I usually only bring Astarion and Lae'zel with me when interviewing Zoro and when it comes time to let Arka shoot the goblin. I would bring Wyll with too but he interrupts an approval chance ! with Astarion. I leave Astarion at the camp when agreeing to help the Tiefling parents but still take him with to rescue her later on. Other examples: I just have Astrion with me when I tell Auntie everything. Then only have Gale and Wyll with me when I say to Zevlor I'll try to help. etc.
Also you can save the child who stole the idol and afterwards still get some Astarion approval by selecting, "3. Honestly, I just wanted to see what would happen."
One of the approval opportunities I've found that's not in any of the guides is there is a goblin by the roasting dwarf in the goblin camp. He'll say something about how it takes so long to cook one. Be sure to have Lae'zel, Shadowheart and Astarion with you. The goblin will mention a captive. Select the option to volunteer to torture him. (You don't have to actually torture him later on.) This will net you approval with Astarion and the ladies.
Another is there is a Tiefling called Lakrissa that's easy to miss sitting up above where Zevlor hangs out in the grove. After talking with Zevlor, go up the stone stairs and ladder. She'll be overlooking the area below, make a bet with her. After killing all the goblins talk to her again with Astarion in the party. She'll be by the Blacksmith Tiefling. Tell her instead of paying back the bet back now let her buy you a drink in Baldur's Gate instead. This gets you approval with Astarion, Shadowheart and Wyll. I think Gale too but since it's so easy to get approval with gale I'd focus on those three by this point.
I literally do the same : party members swap. In this way it's not hard to get good approval from Lae and Astarion. It's a bit bothering but...
I didn't know I could get approval from Astarion if we kill Minthara in that way.
Last time I yeeted her in the void with Karlach 😂 it's always funny.
But now I want try this other method as well lol
Thank you for the update. It will come in handy when the game launches :D
You're very welcome!
thank you!! this has helped me alot
When talking to the monster hunter during the third dialog option I addressed Astarion , shocking the hunter and then Astarion asks May I? and you can nod and that got me approval as well.
I’m currently struggling with this one I can’t get any of this dialogue he just wants to leave the hunter
@@brooke-lynnG did you get the bite scene when Astarion reveals that he's a vampire. There is a boar near the siblings that got attacked by an owl bear. Check the boar and you will learn that it was drained of blood and two puncture marks are found on the board neck. During a full rest you'll be woken up to Astarion looming over you trying to bite you. Only after that will you get the prompts from addressing the Gur
Hi Mmogurl! You missed giving the Necromancy of Thay to Astarion. He has some of the best scenes with that book! In fact, I'm going to make Gale a necromancer to see if that helps Astarion with the book. Thank you for helping me get more approval from Astarion. I can't do cruel stuff, but I can do the other stuff. It is also worth it to mention that sometimes these things glitch with co-op. or they did for me. I'm like, where's the scene? I was so expecting the scene! Also, if you have Astarion talk with the guys at the ruins, he flashes his fangs before Tav even finds out he's a vampire, & the guys run away. It doesn't give Tav approval from him, but Astarion has one of the best expressions on his face as the guys run off scared!
I have to double check it for my next run, but I think last time I tried the tome that it didn't work.. but i didn't get a chance to try it in patch 9. I figured it wasn't worth doing 100% checks since I don't know what they'll change. But I wanted to verify that the stuff I knew of was the same still at least. But I will take note of this and check it next time to see.
That's also awesome about the fangs! I never knew about that!
@@Mmogurl Thank you! If I get the chance, I will see if I have it in one of my streams, and time stamp it for you so you can see it. It's really funny!

Per the Devs it will be good to challenge their views and not always do what they want, which will be interesting to play. I've been able to balance being good and chaotic to get his approval up just in EA.
Looks like the companion's personalities will adapt to your choices by the end of the game.
Really?? That ought to be interesting.. I know currently if you play an evil game and take Gale along.. he really hates you for it. Like he will stay with you.. but he is not happy with you at all. I'm curious how that will change.
@@Mmogurl I think it depends on the character. I feel like Shadowheart and Astarion can lean either way, while others like Gale are more serious about good choices.
From the Community Update:
" In Baldur’s Gate 3, you are encouraged to navigate your relationship - to argue with your partner and challenge their way of thinking. After all, if you just go along with whatever they want to do, you may find yourself sacrificed in an evil god's sex rite, turned into a vampire, or - worst of all, warns Senior Origin Narrative Designer Baudelaire Welch - you might even end up getting married."
Also
"On the other hand, a relationship that begins with a night of post-goblin-slaughtering passion could also blossom into something vulnerable and sweet, given proper care."

The Scene @ 8:25 has changed (or maybe was just different for me). When I went to Edwin, the Tadpole tries to take control and if you fight it, it flees the body. If you accept it, you put it into your inventory but no dialogue is triggered with Astarion afterwards. Again, not sure if this is a game update or because of another decision I've made along the way. Thank you for this video! It's amazingly helpful! :)
You my dear, are a life saver
Where did you find that armor that is black and gold at the beginning? 0:42 Looks very nice.
Oh gurl you know what we need to be launch ready

The deception option no longer works for astarion approval, now its only good for getting gale to approve you. Just figured id give a heads up! This video was super helpful for me on my playthrough! (Still cant seem to get that special dialogue after the bugbear in the barn scene though even with almost full approval from astarion)
Hey! I Don't know if it's already been mentioned, but using the tadpole to see his tadpole dream earns approval.
a really great guide!
Thank you so much for the video! Where did you get your characters outfit in the first part?
If only there were one of these for.. literally anyone but Astarion. Handy for a final playthrough, at least, thank you.
Ok so.. you don't like Astarion and that's mostly OK... so tell me who you want? and maybe we can make that guide happen.. just send it to me@mmogurl.com to make it happen :)
Oh, hello there. Don't mistake me, perfectly happy he's present for those that are interested in him, but Astarion just never once gripped me in any meaningful way beyond a chuckle here or there, and appeasing him almost always starts putting you at extreme odds with your other party members. Again, just a preference thing.
And speaking of preferences, I wouldn't really say I was being hyperbolic except maybe with respect to Wyll (but that might not be as much of an issue with him getting an extensive rewrite and other changes for launch). If I had to narrow it down, perhaps Lae'zel as a bit of a joke since I intend to try and make her fall for a Halfling ^_^ and Shadowheart, because I'm just boring like that.
Regardless, the guides are still appreciated.
Does approval give any bonus scenes with him? Or is it the same as long as you get to the party love part?
For the entry to the hags I keep getting his disapproval I’m not sure how to get him to approve during the hags appearance in her house not the grove 😭 someone please help-
Ugh im so mad i didnt watch this before full release, in the hag swamp part right now and i missed like 3 approvals!! 😭
Sooo, I had my half-elf bard character sheet for D&D made months ago and never played a campaign with him, so I decided to create it in here.
Thing is I didn't know about Astarion before playing, but him and my CN boy actually are getting along so well together haha!
Can’t wait for the full release romance video 😅 glad to see you upload! Also dayum I love your character.
I know you’re huge on astarion but any thoughts on the brief gale romance scenes from the recent trailer where he is narrating? Cuz my jaw dropped when I saw some of those scenes!
i kept myself from watching any of the panel from hell romance stuff.. but i definitely have a lot to share for Gale too!
honestly i feel less bad making more evil-leaning choices with a lloth-sworn drow character as it's pretty on brand for them
I need some help!
I followed 99% of the choices in this video, in fact I brought the relationship to the maximum (100).
At the beginning everything was perfect, I started to see more interaction than in my first run, like: when my character dies Astarion gets worried.
BUT suddenly all this disappeared, I can no longer receive his approval perhaps because I have taken it to the maximum, he no longer worries when my tav dies and vice versa.
Do you know what it depends on?
Maybe it's because I preferred to save the Tieflings?
Playing now and the gimblebock/Nettie battles didn’t display and approval message as expected so that may have changed. Doesn’t seem to have gone up when checking character sheet as well
@Mmogurl: As a companion's approval meter lists both player characters separately, what if there is another player whose character does the "goody two-shoes" bits that Astarion disapproves of, would that work? Like, _not_ killing the bird, saving the tiefling girl from Kahga's snake and so on? I've played with my husband, with Astarion attached to my Tiefling Warlock and Shadowheart attached to my husband's dwarf paladinette, which meant Shadowheart would talk to the paladin and Astarion to my warlock. Although I must say, saving the Tieflings is non-negotiable for my character.
And I read somewhere the Astarion disapproves of a character accepting the Mark of the Absolute, is that right? So I guess I alreay earned black marks by saving Sazza so she could lead us into the goblin camp to the Priestess and me accepting the Mark of the Absolute...
"I'm not stalking him I swear, I just love these bushes outside his window"
I dont know why but i did everything correctly in the emerald grove and with the brother and sister but the dead boar never showed up for me, any tips on why this happened and will i still get the bite night scene?
Great video though so much approval!!
No spoilers but they said they would add roughly 33% more content in Act 1 so it's safe to assume all companions will have more opportunities to like or dislike you. Even if everything stays as before there will still be a lot of new ways to make them like/dislike you.
Is it still possible to romance Astarion if I didn't sleep with him on the thiefling camp celebration? I'm in act 2 now and about to head to moonrise towers and he seems to warm up to me a lot but I feel like all characters, except for Wyll, lost interest in me romantically after I did the magic weave thing with Gale. So frustrating!!
first play through i let him drink from me basically right after we met, i made a new playthrough a couple different times, to do some things differently, and now all that happens is i get the flirty scene with him laying in the grass. can’t get the bite scene anymore. and i have been to the grove and gotten the halsin and creche quest in the journal any advice is appreciated
Does anyone know if the black armor she has equipped on Astarion is available of if it was scrapped. I love its look.
I found another approval by accident, i went to get the necromancy of thay and was going to read it myself, until i noticed a option to let astarion read it and got approval for it.
I had a full on romance u til act 2 ending and then he flipped and approval dipped. Is there a way to reverse it and bring back the romance?
For everyone who doesn't want to do Minthara path but wanna gain Astarions approval. I found this on accident - I didn't want to fight bosses all together so I try to find a path to kill them the sneaky way. If you tell Minthara drows location she will go on the bridge and you can tear down the bridge with an arrow while she's there. She will fall down and die. You can't loot her, but you will gain Astarions approval when you take him with you and noone will disapprove you if you leave your companions behind the corner. I tested it multiple times since I found out and it always worked. Also bonus - Astarion will say something funny about her death 😅👌
In the barn in the blighted village, my character just open the door and that's it. Does anyone know if I have to do something first to be able to talk to my companions?
I‘m in Baldurs Gate and he did the Ritual. Until now I didn‘t have a romance scene with him the relationship is always at „he approves of the Charakter“.
Can I still get romance scenes or did I have to have the right relationship status before killing Cazador?
I am having trouble getting the Gale Ceremorphosis lecture to trigger so that I can get Astarion's comment on it. Any tips for triggering it?
Thank you for this incredible guide, now I can call him mine 😂
May I ask where you got Astarions black/gold armour? I need it, he looks so good in that!
I'm trying to romance him without going full evil, I have his approval up to medium right now, with a few opportunities to get it a little higher. Is medium enough to trigger the romance option at the Tiefling celebration after you save the grove?
Also thank you so much for this guide, and saying the responses. I always struggle with trying to read the lines cause I'm on my phone usually ❤❤❤❤
Is there a certain amount of approval points to reach the romance scene after saving the druids? Cause I just got dumped by astarion, telling me about standards and I’ve seen the approval was at about 40 points. Idk what to do honestly, completed his quest too and still, nothing. I just started a new character just for the romance and I really don’t want to miss out on any scenes with this one :)
would you still be able to romance astarion in act2 if you didnt have high enough approval with him at the camp party in act1?
Shadowheart interrupted me at the barn scene but I still got approval from opening the door
Just a sucker for Astarion.
If you don't have a camp scene at all can you still romance astrion successfully? I kinda screwed up my file and everyone is dead, no goblins, no tieflings, no druids...
how do you have so many good (blue) items already and astarion is all dressed up? what is that outfit he's got on?
The scene where the camp finds out Astarion is a vampire after the bite night scene never seems to trigger for me. They still find out he’s a vampire but the scene never happens. Did they remove it?
After defeating hag i did as you said about giving wand to Marianna and Gale approved me, also astarion didn't got this dialogue option ;w;
Same. I found the hunter after I killed the hag hours earlier and the dialog in the video is not the same as mine.
How do you get the nightmare dream scene been trying for hours and cant seem to get it to work
Yay!!❤
I played as a really good Tav and I romanced him anyway
