  • An unboxing, install and set up on the Kwikset fingerprint smart lock/deadbolt. This deadbolt is really easy to set up and use. The fingerprint function is quick to respond and unlock. It makes locking and unlocking the door a breeze. No more keys to carry.

    What is the exact size of the interior portion? I have a door w/ a window, so the width of the lock mechanism needs to be smaller than a certain amount.

    There is square design and there is a traditional arch lift kind in the same model. Do you think they have different features.? You thumbnail is the traditional picture. Let me know

    two questions: 1. If you have two of these locks, do you have to enrol the fingerprints on both or can the app recognise from one to the other?. 2. If your wi-fi goes off will the lock still work?

      @Antronix3 Před 10 měsíci +1

      1: yes you have to enroll prints for each lock as the prints are stored locally in the lock .
      2: yes the lock will still work. The WiFi is for locking/unlocking remotely with Alexa or Google. That feature won't work. The Kwikset app will work within 30 feet because that uses your Bluetooth on your phone.

    Watched your video because in its title “..and.…how to program” But your video instruction is incomplete-It does not explain how to connect to Google home App…. After watching your video till the end you say ..it will be covered in next video… but no link to next video ..and cannot find that video in your feed

    Do NOT buy this lock. The fingerprint reader fails to recognize my fingerprints about 80% of the time. I had high hopes for this this lock, it was easy to install and it integrated with Google Home very easily. However, the fingerprint reader is essentially useless. Kwikset needs to up their game.

      I have found the same thing; the fingerprint reader is flaky, especially in colder weather. I'll also add that the battery life is short, and again, likely because of the cold weather. Went thru a set of the 4 double A batteries in a month, with limited door usage. We'll see how the performance is in the warmer weather that's coming.
