Here is a Throttle tip for u guys that For some reason Gotrax never ever mentions 🤷🏻‍♂️ . The throttle only becomes active when the display changes from odometer to speedometer. So you don’t have to push faster or double pump the throttle, you only have to Waite two seconds after you push off for the display to change from odometer to speedometer. ………. You’re welcome : )

it's cool gotrax is expanding their brand, i feel like most people get a gotrax as a starter because it's way more affordable. tbh, that's kinda what i want to see more of. escooters is still relatively niche, but if they kept making decent good budget options, more people would probably start seeing it as an option, rather than gatekeeping the community with pricey scooters.

For anyone having issues on the throttle when kicking off, I found that it is better to do a 1 2 walk off, meaning I do a walking step and then another to activate throttle. What i noticed is that the gear needs constant motion to have the throttle activate. Hope this helps.

Good review providing helpful insights. - the double tap throttle thing sounds frustration along with the cruise control not being able to disable permanently. Both concerns to me could be fixed in software or firmware, they should consider improving these concerns. Thanks for the Review.

Thank you for the continued updates. I bought the G4 about a month ago and love it. I'm 179lbs and it gets me to 20MPH and sticks there even with modest up hills. Unfortunately, I think the 25 miles is horribly misleading. The best I've got is about 10 miles. Hopefully we'll see a firmware hack because my guess is this thing could make 25MPH if it wasn't digitally limited.

    • @FayezNajeeb1

Yeah I just got my G4 and LOVE IT. Mine has the throttle problem but not a problem from me at all. The different speed modes are interesting as I found that your battery runs down quite quickly on L2. The large tires are a big plus as I have ridden Lime scooters around Washington D.C. and those have 8in tires I think so they ride like Flintstones tires. Otherwise the scooters great

Both 10 inch pneumatic tyres, both ip65 waterproof with water ingress covered in the warranty, both have Bluetooth for an upcoming app. The air is 250 watts, pro is 350 watts and both have drum brakes and easily accessible tyres and tyre valves 👍🏻

Bought a GoTrax G3 a little over a month ago. The wife and I both enjoyed it so much that we purchased a GoTrax G4 as well last week. It has been great so far! I get to 20mph with no problem and I have not had any issues with the throttle. We love all the security features, as well as the smooth ride provided by the 10" tires. One minor point of confusion is the user manual recommends a tire pressure of 50 PSI, but the tires themselves say 36 PSI? Suggestions or thoughts?

I wish I had gotten a scooter with a front brake. frustratingly gotrax wont give/sell you a front brake even the front wheel and fork can accommodate a front brake. has threaded holes on the fork and a cutaway where you can internally route a brake cable. even more frustratingly the first person I engaged with in customer support said they'd see if there's something they could rustle up from their supplier, but from there on out it was like I got bounced from a different person every time

We will probably do a written review. Yes, just riding the Max, it's basically the same. We got 22.8 miles of range out of it, and ran 14.6 mph average during the range test, including accelerating and decelerating for stop signs/lights and lots of hills. That's slightly faster than the 14.2 mph average we did on the G4 while covering a total range of 14.6 miles.

You can. There is a little more drag from the rear wheel than there would be on a regular kick scooter, because of the motor. It would be even better for kick-scooting if the deck were lower though. It's a little bit of a step-forward-and-up for each kick. It's also a lot heavier than a regular non-motorized kick scooter. Gotrax has a problem. After the 12 months warranty, they lack of parts to replace for customers. They take a week to respond yoto your problems and they say that they don't have the part and they cannot recommend anywhere, and you are out of luck. You can see their parts sections and they don't have any parts to replace. They don't have anymore and they won't fill it. You broke something? Good luck. Now I have a broken scooter missing the lower part that holds the brake line and is made of plastic which breaks and they don't have it.
