    What's your favorite part of "Ghostbusters: Afterlife"?

    • @SexyRyo1

      When Egon's spirit plays chess with Phoebe, the parts with his spirit helping/showing his family with/stuff, and when he's there in form helping Phoebe hold the Proton Pack.
      My other favorite part is with Phoebe talking with Ray on the phone.
      There were so many great scenes that I can't write them all.
      I'm seeing the movie two more times. I love it!

      Are you saved? Where will you go when you die? Heaven or hell?
      The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. Although God's creation was created perfect, having no death, sickness and disease, the creation became corrupted through Adam and Eve in them disobeying God. In this rebellion the creation became fallen through the curse of sin and mankind became separated from God. This world is fallen, but God offers reconciliation to him through his provision at the cross. Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that who reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell.

      If they wanted to make a love letter to fans of the original, they wouldn’t make this movie. Nobody seems to remember how lame Ghostbusters 2 was and was trending downward, HARD. It killed the franchise for a LONG time. The makers of this movie are banking on your rose tinted glasses wearing man child brain, sucking the money right out of your pocket lol The original is perfect and to just lazily cash in on nostalgia is pathetic. The entire movie is nothing but HEY REMEMBER THAT?! REMEMBER THE CRUNCH BAR? REMEMBER THE TWINKIE?! This movie couldn’t even stand on its own. So either the state/feds deemed it hazardous and left it abandoned but uninhabitable, and left to rot. Or Winston secretly owned it and kept it on, or Ray lied about it being a Starbucks to keep people out of it. Either way, they have the firehouse and Ecto back!!

      I think the ghost activity mostly moved over to that well in the mine. Ray and the boys thought they busted all the ghosts, Egon didn’t and stole most of their shit, which ducked up any remaining mushiness for the others.
      After that whole ordeal they blamed Egon for leaving them behind, but they moved on. Egon was probably just so involved in his work he didn’t reach out again in time, and when he needed the boys they had grown bitter about it. When Phoebe calls Ray can’t stop wondering about it all and gets everyone together and starts figuring out that If she called him, it has to do with ghosts and that she’s in trouble.
      I think Ray was being honest with her, but he wasn’t being TOTALLY honest. I think we all need some time to digest it all before we can read too much into it, but that’s my 2 cents so far.

When the ghosts inhabit Summerville, there is a ghost that is a single eyed specter who has it's body pulled up behind it and the eye getting back into it's head. That looked surprisingly like a favorite ghost from the Real Ghostbusters toy line. The one problem I saw though was that Ray had told Phoebe that the firehouse had a Starbucks in it and in the end of the film, it obviously didn't. However, the CGI Egon was pretty damn spot on if I must say...

Would love to see Slimmer as a sidekick again like he was in the Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters Animated series, he did make a cameo appearance in Ghostbusters 2 but would love to see if Muncher will be part of it as well. I do believe Egon's grandkids will take on as the Ghostbusters in New York City and maybe Podcast will be part of it too but not sure. Bring on what I would title as the next chapter "Ghostbusters: the Next Generation"

  • @TurtleSpeedGaming
    @TurtleSpeedGaming Před 2 lety

    At 3 minutes into this video there is a promo picture of some of the cast with Ecto-1. In that picture Ecto-1 is sporting an orange, or amber strobe light on the right side of the front Grille. That particular light only appeared in GB2 on Ecto-1A. Also it is believed that although Ecto-1A didn't make an appearance in the movie, the front bumper of the GB2 movie car did. On Ecto-1 when it is sitting in the barn three spot weld marks can be seen on the front bumper in the exact place the orange strobe light would of sat.
    Also when Fin Wolfhard slams the bonnet/hood shut on Ecto-1 in the barn a piece of chrome light surround flies off of the left side headlight as it faces the camera. later in the movie that piece is back on the car then in other scenes it isn't. Also in the the third act as the kids drive to the mine in Ecto-1 in some wide shots the lights can clearly be seen flashing and the siren heard, but then in the next shot they are off, then back on again. These discrepancies in the editing process do not in any way detract from the excellent script, acting , or fun this movie brings.

    The only thing about that scene with the containment unit, the red blinking light usually means that a trap with a ghost in it is installed. If the light is green, "the trap is clean". So why was a red light blinking? And I figure Winston brought the traps from Oklahoma back to put in the containment unit, unless Igon made a bigger one on the farm and didn't just use the electrics to power just traps.
    One question though, was there a Baskin Robbins product placement in 84? The Walmart had it and the 2017 Haynes Ecto-mobile manual mentions the name. But I don't remember a reference in 84 or 89.
