    I am in the Limo- car service business in LA. I got to drive Harold Ramis back in 2009
    From Santa Monica to LAX . Very Kind Genuine Man , I told him right away that I was a fan and it was a pleasure to meet and serve him .
    He came to the front passenger seat
    and we talked for roughly 30 minutes .
    He had mentioned ghostbusters 3 was in development . I wish he would still be here and was involved with the new ghostbusters film .

      _Stranger Things_ really tore his character a new one, saying he's not funny and doesn't show up until late. I have to wonder what it would look like if Eddie Murphy had found time to be in the movie, which was the number two hit of the year? But he was in the year's top hit, _Beverly Hills Cop._
      Maybe they would have changed him to be an independent paranormal researcher who's in the movie from nearly the beginning, perhaps as a rival like the French Archeologist in _Raiders of the Lost Ark._ Since they didn't have the name "Ghostbusters" when they started production, maybe "The Real Ghostbusters" buy it from Winston and he then agrees to join them. They initially don't have the money to go into business for themselves and have to do something with Ray's house, which is kind of funny, but since it's his money they have to go along with some of his ideas like the Firehouse and the Ecto-1. Perhaps if Eddie Murphy had been Winston they would have written him as their financial backer?

      The world did not stop producing good entertainment simply because you are getting old. People who complain that todays music sucks and today's movies are terrible are basically watching the wrong movies and listening to bad music (you actually watched the Avengers?! You really thought that would be a good movie?) Never before has humanity had the selection that is does right now and there has never been a better time to live then right now. If popularity is what determines in your mind what is "good" you will never find quality in anything.

      @AC-gb7do Před 4 lety +7

      Russell Speak The last 5-7 years have sucked for most (not all) tv, films, music and franchises in general. It’s not necessarily that the product has sucked, it’s just that certain groups have been loud enough to try and tell the powers that be what THEY want in those areas, and yet those people aren’t actually buying the tickets, watching the series, reading the books, listening to the music and supporting the franchise in other ways as well.
      The 80s are seen as subjectively ‘better’ times because people actually understood what escapism was, and still is, as it’s not a damn social/political arena for every whiny group to demand this and that at the expense of the product. People in general could laugh and enjoy themselves without looking over their shoulder to make sure that laughter wasn’t offensive in half a dozen ways.

    I had just turned 4 years old when my parents took me to see this movie. I was so excited to see the movie due to the previews I had seen. Unfortunately, it was just a bit too much for my 4 year old brain to handle. I got through the first 11 minutes, no problem, but then came the first on-screen ghost interaction with the Librarian. Then when the Librarian ghost turned into that evil abberation, I lost it. No joke, I jumped out of my seat, ran out of the theater; continued to run out the movie theater's front entrance straight into the parking lot with both of my parents trailing behind running after me. There in the parking lot, my parents tried to calm me down so we could go back inside, but I wasn't having it. In looking at this now, it's funny because I did the same thing the Ghostbusters did on-screen after their first interaction with that same ghost. Eventually, after some time had passed and my fear of the movie subsided, we were able to rent the movie and Ghostbusters became one of my all time favorite movies. Ironically enough, it is also the only movie I have ever walked (ran) out on.
