- Today we are learning the Maltese language and our teacher is an 8 year old Maltese boy! I have been living in Malta for 8 years now and i do understand a bit of the Maltese language. Few days ago i did a live stream in Senglea where i met Kaiden, who has been watching my videos for 3 years now! We spoke in English and i also used some Maltese words. One of the words from the Maltese language i was using it in a wrong way without knowing the real meaning behind, and some people judged me for it. So in todays video we decided to learn the Maltese language with Kaiden. Thank you for watching!
I had fun when Alex and I made the video it was fun filming the video Alex is the best
Alex please pin this if you see this 😊😊
Thank you young man 🤝🏻🥰
I loved this video of you and Alex. It put a tear in my eye❤❤❤❤❤
@@AlexinMaltaWhy are you learning from a child ? A child is supposed to be learning from you and not the other way around. Ever ! Period.
@@88MARTHEZ88 Actually its society thats trying to say exactly this right now ! No youre wrong and we dont need any more messes and more childish chaos. Enough already !
The cutest teaching video I have ever seen, we want part 2😂❤
Yes, more, more!
Will definitely do ❤thanks for watching
It's amazing to me how this language is nothing but a mix of arabic and sicilian! Love it
You have a good heart, Alex❤
The boy is very well-mannered and lovable and deserves this gift
I feel like I learned the Maltese language faster through the lovely boy🤗💋💗💕
His parents are amazing, they are raising him well ❤️

Alex I've been following you from the beginning and this vlog really made me happy as you are encouraging foreigners to learn our language. If more people do like you, you will make life easier for the Maltese who have learning issues and old people as they speak only Maltese, especially for hospital and transport workers
Grazzi Tania ❤️yes, i agree, people working in public transport and Hospitals should learn at least basic Maltese
Brilliant Alex more people should make the effort to interact with the Maltese people ❤😊
I agree
THE YOUNGEST MALTESE TEACHER EXTRAORDINAIRE 🎓😊
Well done Teacher Kaiden. I see your mature age student Alex was very attentive as well 😅. Kaiden you're so much like my 9yo great nephew in Malta - cute, intelligent and well mannered. Bless you 🙏.
I love those beautiful presents and I wouldn't mind identical ones when maybe I do the part of the "old teacher" as mentioned 😂.
Proset & Thank You both, Alex and Kaiden 👏👏.

This was the most beautiful video I have ever seen.. bought tears to my eyes. What an adorable little boy & Alex your kind gift was a beautiful gesture. I think it made his day ❤️
Thank you Vicki ❤❤❤
Aw, what a cute video! He's a sweet, mature boy and it was sweet watching you learn some expressions and words, Alex.
Ive been learning Maltese for slightly over 5 months now and quite enjoy it so much of what I have learned were things you asked, except, interestingly enough, my teacher told me that asking someone's age is, "Kemm għandek snin?" I'd guess they're both acceptable and it's just a matter of preference, though.
Anyway, you should definitely do a part 2 where you try to recall what you've learned and then learn even more sentences and words.
Part 2 ❤️soon! Im glad that you are learning Maltese as well. I like the language beside being hard to learn
@AlexinMalta Yeah, I enjoy it a lot too and while it is challenging, I don't find it nearly as challenging as Russian (I tried to learn that for 3 years). So, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it the more you learn it 🤞👌
Well done Alex! We need more people like you in our country! ❤🎉
❤️❤️❤️thank you
Maltese language sounds pretty cool ! Excellent teacher, nice and disciplined student. ;-)

Glad u think so :) thank you!
Alex such a fun, cute video. I too enjoy listening to the language I heard my grandparents spoke around me as a kid. Ask some one how you say "rain"...😅
Xitta :) ❤️
Good one Alex....very interesting 👍 and you know what is more interesting about it is you have a little boy teach you to learn the language. Its been said that the best way to learn a language is with children and i believe that. No pressure but just the enjoyment of being a child once again. It would be nice if you can feature this in your vlogs even once a month, but with different children. You'll make many children happy, not only because of being on a video but the reward they can get from helping others learn something. You've done well and I love it. Complementi 👏
Thank you Nina :) i might consider that, its interesting idea
This is so cute
❤❤
Great video! I hope to see more videos like that! I'm learning Maltese too! ❤

Hello Alex, i am from Nigeria, and will love to relocate to Malta, is there a way you can help me?
For a much lesser cost you can learn Maltese .......one month in Tunisia for grammar and vocabulary....two weeks in Sicily for the resting vocabulary.
All the stay also keep watching english movies ... documentary anything....that it's it you learnt Maltese .....testa' tetghalemm Malti min tounes liksalmilkum
Amoreeeee
❤️
Kaiden is bravu 🤗

Nice

The Maltese language is similar to the Maghreb dialects, meaning that most of the words are in Arabic
Good morning +++ l’ghodwa it-tajba
Thank you +++ nizukhajr .
Nizukhajr sinjur :)
If a Lebanese girl got married with an Italian dude. Their kid ends up sounding like this.
Not a good idea to ask a 7 year old because his command if the language s still not good. He is very good for his age but there are some phrases which were incorrect. You don t say "tnejn pastizzi". You say "zewg pastizzi" as an example. Having given you my advise... I congratulate you on your choice of learning the language, i can guarantee you ll get to know a lot more locals and people will be happy that you re trying at least. Keep it up. 👍😘 Ps if you need help behind the camera, just let me know.
Grazzi Mary :) there will be more videos with Maltese language
People who aren’t Maltese but can speak Maltese better then m6 own language
🤝🏻👏🏻
Some of these words are from arabic... Counting is also same
They're Semitic but they're mostly from Phoenician not Arabic.
Xi hlew❤❤
Grazzi
I speak arabic and today i found out that im fluent in maltese
Grazzja
:O that's literally just arabic I understand around 80 percent of the entire conversation
I speak maltese cause I'm in malta
"hija l-Isla" because "belt" is feminine. Some mistakes overall, but it's too be expected. Bravo Kaiden though. Smart kid. Keep it up!
Thank you 🤝🏻
and sebgha* too
Alex Remember this Yes has 3 letters Iva has 3 letters too so Iva is yes
Now
No has 2 letters Le has 2 letters so no is le
Hope you find it useful
If you know A Romance language and Arabic or Hebrew, then Malti is a breeze. Jekk taf lingwa Rumana u Għarbi jew Ebrajk, allura l-Malti huwa faċli biex titgħallem.
Wow... Maltese is not easy😢
Maltese is Semitic and it's a direct descendant of the Phoenician language. Example:
Phoenician: al yikunlak zare behayim tahet sems
Maltese: La jkollok zerriegha bej il-hajjin taht ix-xemx
Bro jitkkelem ahjar minni x zikk
😜
@@AlexinMalta ahhhhh omg Alex youre the best thanks for commenting ♥️♥️♥️💓💓💓💝💝💝
That Maltese count 1 to 10 is simaler like Arabic
It is
Yeah cos it's semitic, but it's descended from Phoenician, not Arabic.
@@magnuscorbin5040 arabic not Phoenician
@@user-ji3qm5gf7j Nope Phoenician. Stop talking about things you don't understand.
@magnuscorbin5040 I speak Arabic and Maltese grammar is Arabic grammar not Phoenician
Proset sabieha
The kid is speaking arabic 😳
wow: little bit Arabic language
1 tO 10 same Arabic language
Almost all numbers actually. Infact 40% of the language is from Semitic origins. The rest of the 60% are latin (sicilian and italian mainly) and some english twisted words especially from this generation i think its happening everywhere 😅
The language in 90% Arabic 😂
50-50 :)
Ur very wrong. Its proven from a study in the Maltese University that that theres only 40% Semitic and 60% latin and other languages
Semitic =/= Arabic. Maltese is a direct descendant of Phoenician.
@@magnuscorbin5040 tell me more about this please:)
@@zackfenech533 it’s actually 60% Arabic Semitic and 40% Latin, the vocabulary is way overestimated
erbgħa* sorry but I had to
Cute sure, but zero effort in using Maltese orthography and spelling. Take just the numbers, and compare the correct spelling to the subs:
Wieħed, tnejn, tlieta, erbgħa, ħamsa, sitta, sebgħa, tmienja, disgħa, għaxra, ħdax.
Thank you 🤝🏻
Alex I really enjoyed watching this but it would have been great if the words shown on the screen were written in proper maltese alphabet using the għ, ġ,ċ,ħ,
You are right Josette
