What a useful video! Hope you're doing well Mr. Chuck
Thanks Tony. To you, too.
Boy, Starbucks is great at merchandising, aren't they? They sell cute Da Nang coffee mugs.
Nice presentation of a small neighborhood in the middle of a large city, Chuck. Seeing the construction worker with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, made me curious. Is there much smoking in restaurants in DaNang or is it like most western restaurants and not permitted? And how about other public gathering places?
Hi Gary. That was a tattoo shop undergoing some renovation this week. ... Generally the rule is if the air space is closed and airconditioned people don't smoke.. If it's a coffee joint on the street, there will be lots of smoke. Bars are smoky. It's a bummer. Restaurants are normally tobacco and vaping free as long as there is a real delineation between what is inside and outside, but if there is no difference, then people will be smoking all over.. and there are many establishments all over that have no walls... They slap up a chainlink fence at night to secure the joint...
@@chuckmyntti Thanks, Chuck. I was curious about that.
Hey Chuck!
Is Quang Nga where you rent your motorbike from?
Also, do they prepare/advise on the VN motorbike test, or is that better through Lynn Visa?
Nice 'small film' BTW 🙂
Yup. I rent from Jessica and Quang. Lynn does the licensing. You should check in with Lynn about licensing... things are always changing.
Did you try Wok Hei ? Is it really like western Chinese food?

I love how this place is organized. The menu has all of the Chinese entrees listed, and then you can select a protein such as chicken or beef or tofu (I am vegan so this is appreciated hugely), and then choose rice or noodles (other options here also) and then you can make it a combo. I ordered Ginger Broccoli and sauteed tofu with white rice. I also ordered veggy spring rolls. This was a very good meal. I had a nice conversation with a staffer about Anthony Bourdain and how we both miss him. Nice.. Enjoyable evening.
