For those of you that have followed along with Shayna's journey to become a pilot and fly our very own Vans RV9A this is the video! Follow along as she conquers the plane with her name on the title!
Dang! That was impressive. Love the take offs and landings. So that's what Green Island Rd. looks like from above. Nice! Scratches behind the ears for Porter and Amelia!
So pleased to watch this! I’m just starting to teach my wife and she’s hesitant but cautiously optimistic. It will be great and I hope she doesn’t stop short of a certificate. Have fun together!
Thanks a ton for the watch! If your wife ever needs some motivation my wife loves to chat it up with the future aviatrix's! Don't hesitate to reach out!
@@svtpete83 thanks so much. I didn’t expect a response but I’m a fan of your material. My wife is also my best friend and I felt particularly connected to your story. I’m glad to hear you like Defenders! It’s a special thing for sure.
My wife loves her DC's. We have spent a few flights with each others headsets and they both are great. We also have a pair of Zulu 3's. The zulu 3's mic doesn't pic up quite as good as the others. The DC's are more comfortable to wear on a long trip. The Bose have a touch better noise cancelling. If push came to shove, she wouldn't trade her DC1X's for any of them!
@@svtpete83 planes in annual now. Hopefully goes smooth. You think I should fly into Napa or one of the Sonoma fields? Which is better? I’ll be getting a rental car so either place works.
@@RaceMentally Napa for sure. They do gorentals from there and there are more services for sure. Also it’s one of the most beautiful airports on the west coast to fly into!
Our seats and seat cushions are made by a company called oregon aero. They make some great stuff! I would also look into the antisplat almost a 14 mod. This gave me much more adjust-ability when it came to seating and positioning. Good luck with the build!!
Jeepers peter, you gotta get a dictionary and look up the word "attempt " . Looks like Shayna showed Charlie what's up. I'm thinking there's gotta be cirrus in your future brother.
Congrats Shayna !😃👍🏻
Yay Shayna!!!! You are bad butt!!!
Nice, and congrats Shayna. Heartwarming little comment at the end. Best wishes to you both.
Thank You!!
Oh gosh! This made me cry!
Great job!!! I just got an RV6A and this made it so I have more confidence when flying.
Love it!! Thanks for checking out the video!
Very nicely done! Congratulations Shayna on both your ticket and your RV-9A solo!
Thank you thank you!!
Very cool head. Well done.
Great final landing for full stop! I was cheering you on when you completed it. Well done girl!
Shayna says thank you!! Thanks for checking out the video!
Proud husband, proud wife. great

Very nice job! Great that you and hubby can both fly!
I am a lucky pilot thats for sure! Thanks for checking it out!

OK, Good job ! I actually watched it all... good you talk your way through it all. Well done !
Thanks for giving it a watch!
I hold the nose wheel off until it settles. I’d suppose I can roll 1000 feet in a wheelie in my 9A.
Heck ya!
I am still looking for the “attempts” part. Looks to me that she successfully solo’d the RV-9A!
Thanks for checking it out!
How do you like the DC One-X headset compared to Bose A20 hubby wears?

We’re flying to Napa in a couple weeks. Let me know if you’d like to cruise somewhere or get together.
Any suggestions on where to stay up there?
Let me know when you’re coming in. If I have the day off would love to meet up!

building my 7A and intend to teach my kids and wife in it. I have a question about your 9. What type of seats are you using?
