Freelance Trials is great for players who might not have a consistent team every week, but it can be difficult to play without communication with your teammates. People seem to enjoy when I live commentate over my Trials of Osiris matches, so here is another one. Enjoy!

Same I got it last season and it was freelance too. i literally matched with the same teammates the whole 7 wins the only loss was with two other randoms. They carried me the whole way thru. the only time match match making was on my side.

Just wanted to let you know I’ve been watching you a lot lately and you’re gameplay and commentary have been very helpful I got my 2nd ever flawless this weekend only playing freelance without any type of carry. The matchmaking bungie decides to be a fair match can be tough. Esp In freelance but I’m glad they have freelance as an option.
Yeah I don't think there's any real matchmaking. I know in trials they try to match you with people that are around the same as you in wins on their card, but other than that it feels pretty random

Is it just me, but I just found out that you can stop a thresher with a fusion grenade, and stand on it. Eager edge works on top of it too.

I never learn my lesson playing freelance but really what you wanna do is pretend you're doing a 1v3 so make sure you use your best class, subclass, and exotics.

Dumb question but whats the queue for when to dodge effectively. I've had a few instances where Ive dodged/phase shifted and still get killed even though I appear around a corner or wall when I'm dead
I normally dodge when I get shot first and I'm not in the position to fight back right away. Don't wait for the second shot, because by the time you can react, it might be too late.
If you are mid fight and need to reload you could use your dodge, because it is way faster than a normal reload and you trigger health regen (with wormhusk and/or classy restoration).
If void: get invis for a flank or to get resist from omni.
@@Rickvaningen thank you. Put that out there expecting a lot of GiT Gud comments. I did have some luck with Wormcrutch but I always feel so cheap (I should care more about the win but hey) with that so wanted to try something a bit different
@@danielbarrett9683 never feel cheap using something in a videogame. other people use them too, so why wouldn't you? it's strong, so why would you not use it?
another tip is maybe watch ascendant nomads vids on how to get better in pvp/trials. I also watched all of jake's 1v3 vids form D1. learned a lot from them.

this is my problem with Trials freelance you have to kill everyone or you lose the round because all teammates are playing with their toes.
Sometimes you're in unwinnable matches unless you're a god player with 69 KD

Only think is I never got to flawless after this 3 plus years playing destiny 2, I am console ps5, but trials is so hard, also they should leave pc and console separate, yesterday I saw some players from nowhere yo kill them and drop heavy ammo and flying passing knives and killing frustrating 😢

It's been pretty degrading to see my teammates are just too passive to push and are to busy aiming down sights to see the enemy coming up behind him.
Even more degrading to see my team go afk or leave.

Yeah I definitely neglect checking my abilities before getting into a gunfight.. which ends up me just tea bag shooting on accident and then getting bagged because the other person thinks I’m bagging them.. 😂😂😂
For a normal Player, Flawless in Freelance is impossible!!! That Matchmaking is Horror 😡😡😡🤮🤮🤮
Step 1. Ability spam as much as you can
Step 2. Use abilities
Step 3. Oh you finally found out what a gun is
Step 4. Did I mention ability spamming?
It used to be spam shotguns and fusions, at least abilities take more proactive thinking.
Gotta understand other than positioning theres no skill in d2.
