Yeah I actually like most of the changes to the raid I think War Priest change is a bit weird but I’m sure I’ll get used to it with time.

Tbh they did more than 4 bombs which extends the dps phase, it is even a triumph to kill him in 1 phase. To do this every time you need to stun oryx only activate 1 bomb and save 3 and this stacks bombs simillar to d1.

@@jameldesouza6591 every bomb extends the dps phase. This means you can kill the ogres and stack their bombs, and only activate one of them to stop oryx’s wipe. So to achieve the one phase, they stacked all the ogre bombs they didnt explode for the longest dps window
The fact that warpriest was the hardest encounter day one and not oryx is kinda funny
I was in a team today with a guy who’s team was so braindead they were stuck at totems for 18 HOURS

Hey Sweetcicle, what solar build did you use during this fight? I'm not liking arc 3.0 for warlocks this season, as it feels like warlocks got shafted big time, so I'm looking for a descent solar build without needing last season's mods.
Only mod from last season you needed was Classy Restoration.
Just switch void warlocks still feel good on that class

@@snadthe4671 No, 16 bombs was which was also challenge. What you’re seeing in this video is the D2 version of 16 bombs.

You can, but it's not needed. Bombs perform differently now. Instead of damaging Oryx, they stun him. You could still do the D1 challenge mode strat, but you have to detonate at least one bomb per round so Oryx doesn't wipe you.

It ain't as bad as people try to make it out to be but it ain't gonna beat a linear...Honestly nothing can unless the boss is glitched like the Sisters are or have an insanely short damage phase like Atraks.
Tried it recently and man it wasn't very good.

its weekly per 3 character (3 chances if 3 characters) but you can farm spoils for Raid Weapons

You can farm the raid thats in the weekly rotation, so for an example, if Last Wish is in the rotation of the week then you can farm it, but if its another raid in rotation then you cant, Kings Fall is the current pinnacle raid, so its only gonna be fully farmable in this weekly system when a new raid is added

i think d1 looked way better. more detailed more chiseled, better definition on his edges, better lighting. d2 makes everything look blurry, and cartoony like fortnite. and extra dark for no reason in certain places and way to bright in others.
The whole raid looks alot better imo it has more of a creepy hive/taken vibe to it

My team day 2, without even being 1580 yet, could 2 phase him only doing one bomb at a time
My team did this triumph last night by killing after the 3rd set of bombs, so I can confirm it is possible.
This isn't only 3 bombs
One phase with only 4 bombs is possible
So I assume you detonate one bomb for three or four rounds, then detonate all of the rest and instant kill him?

@@dochedgehog the more bombs you detonate, the longer your damage phase. But you have to detonate at least one per round to stun his Doxology attack where he calls upon the darkness. I was asking if that is the strategy or if there is some other way to avoid the Doxology without detonating a bomb.

Yes. Cataclysmic with 4TTC and B&S is the DPS king now.

Cataclysmic FTTC+Bait and Switch is better overall sustained dmg
Bait and Switch is a 30% buff and can be gained solo while Firing is a 20% buff but doesn't have any requirements other than having 2 teammates near you.
@@WaterGates1 no stormchaser is still the DPS king. Cataclysmic is better for longer damage phases like this one. A normal oryx phase with 4 bombs the cataclysmic does not do more DPS than stormchaser

Imo, it's not 1 phase oryx. You did 4 circles of dropping bombs and due each increase dps phase timer it shouldn't count as 1 phase. Kill oryx with only 4 bombs - it will be clear 1 phase. (Like someone did on yt with 5 acrius)

First time seeing oryx, is this all there is? Makes the dps phase look very underwhelming compared to having to stun him before he did his wipe clap in D1. If so, I think I prefer the bombs doing damage
He still does his wipe clap, and you still need to detonate bombs to stun him. Only difference now is you do weapon damage instead of only being the bombs

Why does bungie love making raid bosses a joke
What you mean lol the whole game is a joke its so easy.
If they made all the raid bosses really high health, a lot of people wouldnt be able to actually deal enough damage to kill the bosses, which means they wouldnt get to experience the end game content of the game. They have to make the health amount of a boss reasonable so that people actually have a chance to beat them. For this clip specifically though, they tripled the length of the damage phase by stacking the bombs, so this isnt usually how youre supposed to do the encounter, not to mention these guys all have the best possible weapons, armor, and mod setups possible to max out their damage potential. The average raid group will not put out as much dps as these guys.
@@Coolbreeze02050 Yea but adding more hp just to make them more spongey isnt good design, the boss already litterally just stands there and gets shot. Giving him more hp for the lols, would just make it worse its already a terrible boss design.
