Basic was easy as fuck especially at Jackson, got phone every Sunday for 15 minutes until you phase up and then you’ll get up to an hour…that was with my company though
Wow, that happened to me with I was in basic training in 2002 at Ft Jackson. I didn't get my period the whole time I was in basic. I felt like they have us something to stop it. But yeah, it was probably the stress that kept it away.
Thank you for this video! I leave in a few weeks for Fort Jackson and been nervous. Especially about the period part. Not many people talk about it in their videos.
I should leave around June 2022 (Im finishing a semester of collage so cant leave before that) should be going to meps soon to get the date and sign. Im doing the buddy program so just waiting for my friend to retake the asvab in 2 weeks so I can finally go to meps (she already went to meps but shes missing passing the asvab to sign). I literally cannot wait to get the date and just get over with it lol. The waiting feels worst Did you study terms and stuff asked there? If yes where can I find it?
@@alexacabello9625 the only thing I really practiced consistently was the soldiers creed which was helpful because they were really on us about that! but general orders and everything else your first day they will literally break everything down and step by step show how to execute the commands and all so there’s no need to really “study” for it. & GOOD LUCK☺️
Oh okay! So after basic is your AIT at the same base? Or do they send you somewhere else? My fiancé is leaving on the 19th and this whole process is new to me so I’m just trying to get some info😭💜 thank you!
@@destinylopez7163 of course! It depends on your job tbh! my job training was in Virginia so after I finished basic training I had to be in Virginia for my AIT .
you’ll get to write letters to them & if your lucky you may get a phone call through but most times besides letters u won’t get too, until the day before you graduate which is family day .. you’ll get to spend the day on post with your family if they come visit you.

Can u have your family send u books in basic? Or like stuff to color with or anything like that?
No
How long did it take for you to receive your first letters and packages? My daughter just started yellow phase yesterday.
I think I didn’t start getting them for like a month after we started.
About how long is the process from the day you ship off until the day you are first stationed?
a week & that’s for reception. mines was just 3 days over a week because we missed our connecting flight that took us to reception.
