Thanks!! & I can’t say if the Navy info will be the same but for Army National Guard you still pay for your own living situation most people work a reg. job since national guard is only once a month. if your active & staying on base in barracks they’ll pay for u & u won’t pay for much but the food expense out your check other things u want. if your active you’ll do MOS u choose during your work day as your job which varies depending on what u score and choose joining for example, there’s mechanics, cooks, medics, human resource people. & for national guard they have a option called AGR Which is basically like full time national guard so u work full time in uniform which is mostly mon-fri like a 9-5 ( ofc sometimes it may vary with the hours ) & usually the hours are set. job options vary if your doing it national guard but it’s all up to openings and you maintaining everything like passing scores on the pt test etc so for example , i’m national guard but I was gonna do AGR job as my reg job instead of working a civilian. get some active duty benefits but your still national guard so u still drill once a month

Simple looks, yes DEPENDING on your company although you may not have a large selection of makeup you’ll be able to purchase

On the side I was on which was ( ordnance ) we could have our phone whenever after school, usually “light out” was 9 meaning we would be in our rooms but we could still be on our phones and stuff.

you’ll get to write letters to them & if your lucky you may get a phone call through but most times besides letters u won’t get too, until the day before you graduate which is family day .. you’ll get to spend the day on post with your family if they come visit you.

That’s considered two types of styles, & out of regs so you’ll have to grow it all our or cut it all short .

I had my hair like that, tbh if just ended up cutting my hair when the shaved side started growing. Not to mention to me, I hate dealing with my long hair, I plan to cut it short enough to avoid having to put it in a bun or whatever.

the couple girls with undercuts they didn’t make them cut their hair the short parts just started growing out but you’re only there 10 weeks it didn’t look toooo crazy

Ok I'm prior service ANG 11c, I ship back to basic at jackson soon. I've heard mixed things about privileges. Do you have any input on that?

@@Gravesgogetit unfortunately I don’t have much advice that route both prior service were males so I’m not sure after training took place for the day if they had any special privileges! But good luck 🍀

Lol after training , but they can’t be super long they have to look natural .

It was always chill for our company if you didn’t have your weekend pass you could just hang out around base with a battle buddy or in your room. If you did have a pass you could leave base with a battle buddy. But most times we would have a late formation so we didn’t have to get up so early in the morning , and another one around 5ish because they would make everyone atleast be back on base by then.

I think I didn’t start getting them for like a month after we started.

Ours were divided by walls , and had a curtain on the end.

@@alexacabello9625 fort Lee! & yes we did but I heard they’ve gotten a little stricter than when I was there but I made a AIT video as well!

Army PTs have a spandex undershort inside

You can try to but some companies & drill sergeants may not let you wear it even if it’s neural. If you do try to bring them make sure there isn’t any logos.

@@alexacabello9625 the only thing I really practiced consistently was the soldiers creed which was helpful because they were really on us about that! but general orders and everything else your first day they will literally break everything down and step by step show how to execute the commands and all so there’s no need to really “study” for it. & GOOD LUCK☺️

Yes, but not everyone will let you keep it during basic if you do bring it make sure it’s not scented .

a week & that’s for reception. mines was just 3 days over a week because we missed our connecting flight that took us to reception.

Oh okay! So after basic is your AIT at the same base? Or do they send you somewhere else? My fiancé is leaving on the 19th and this whole process is new to me so I’m just trying to get some info😭💜 thank you!

@@destinylopez7163 of course! It depends on your job tbh! my job training was in Virginia so after I finished basic training I had to be in Virginia for my AIT .

@@Qweenk23 it was two bays ( basically large rooms ) each one had about 20-25 girls maybe. We were on bunk beds .

yes, you can bring sports bras but they have to be neutral colors ( black, nude) & i wouldn’t suggest bringing your own feminine products because they can’t be scented & some companies don’t allow certain things like razors etc . They take you to a store to buy everything that they approve of when u start basic & that includes hygiene items , bras , and granny panties lol.
