I REEEEALLY like seeing you open these boxes. The cards are soooo well preserved and in great shape. I loved that Willie Randolph 78 Topps back in the day. Wow! That 65 Ron Hunt was immaculate. Holy cow! Eddie Murray, Hough, Koosman and Rose all in the same pack. Man, each pack has at least a couple of HoFers in it. Lee Mazzilli rookie card! And Jack Clark too. LOL.

There were a lot of Mets in that box. I would have been ecstatic with the Mets cards without the Mantle. LOL. It's also a Reggie Jackson hot box apparently. LOL The 1975s that come out of these boxes are in such great condition. Nice Sandberg rookie card. I think it's a Carlton Fisk hot box too.
And what a way to end an already awesome box with a Ferguson Jenkins autograph card. Wow. This was a lot of fun to watch as you opened these. Thanks for sharing, Jon.
carltopia thanks Carl! I was not expecting this box to be so good! You are correct about the condition of the cards. Definitely from sets that must have been stored perfectly. The Mantle was unreal. I still can’t believe that pull. All of it was just incredible.
@@JonsSportsCards I might have to go a pick one of the two up that are on eBay right now, but I suspect that some of your subscribers will be bidding too after watching this video. I suspect it might get out of my price range. I saw some recent sales of that Mantle in much worse condition than yours for $50 and some in the condition yours is in for over $100. Congrats again. Happy to see you hit that. Hoping that this video breaks a record for you in views and maybe even goes viral.

Pretty much the most valuable cards not 1 of 1 and where to find them in which boxes/packs.
Vintage and new mixed just based on sold values.
I only want to seek the valuable cards for investments and avoid the cheap boxes/packs/cards.
I want to focus on cards that sell for $20 each minimum or more and boxes that sell for $100 each minimum or more etc.

The companies that do these repacks are actually super smart. They take all their off center cards and repack them and most likely make a killing. Almost every card in this box as well as the previous vintage box openings are off center. These boxes are great for people that like to collect vintage cards but i personally would never buy this product. Still awesome to watch though. Thanks for the video!

great rip, love the mantle card. Mantle's last year was 1968 and his last card is 1969 Topps with the Yellow letter last name and white letter last name Error.

CC Corliss He got a '79 Topps box from BBCE that had all common cards.
@@scoutisabelle There was also an 81 Donruss that was heavy on 2 teams, and a sh#t ton of John Wathans.
there have been several that were obvious searched boxes. here is a little fyi about BBCE, they used to sell new old stock rolls of topps wax pack wrappers. they used to sell empty wax boxes. Think about that for a minute.

High number 1967 commons are highly sought after and command a premium. Very tough set. I've heard alot of people got burnt by these boxes. This box was ridiculously good. You got me itching to buy a box, reminds me of when I was a kid opening cards in the 1960s and 70s. I still have most of them. I really enjoy your channel, especially the old cards. This box was sick! Congrats!

The graded commons in the 50s and 60s cards are worth getting done. It's not every day us viewers get to see a Mantle pulled from a pack. Jon this is one of his last cards since he retired in 68. Prices vary, seen it fetch up to 300$+......its looks to good condition. Jon this was awesome!!!!

These packs are yielding cards that are in really great shape. I could see the guys who submit bulk cards for grading wearing these boxes out . . . they look great. You seem to be pulling the occasional great card as well. OH MY GOODNESS . . . you pulled a Mantle. Congrats my friend! And a Ryne Sandberg rookie card? Wow! Great ending with a Fergie Jenkins auto. Matty Douglas too late now. I put it in my bicycle spokes this morning along with the other cards and rode my bike around the neighborhood. Of course it’s in a penny sleeve and soft sleeve. The card is going off to PSA

Take out the Mantle and that was still a SOLID box!! That Mick card skyrocketed the box from SOLID to FRIGGIN' AWESOME!! Great pull!! I might pick me up one of these boxes. Thanks for sharing! BTW, Beckett has that Mantle booked at $400 mint ungraded....VG to EX range from $80-$160. Definitely worth getting graded.

That Mantle is sweet. Probably a $250-$300 card in a 6. With the centering it is at least that.

Wow..that video brougjt back alot of memories of opening packs in the 70s and early 80s...I dont collect cards since the early 90s...but sometimes I wish I had my hige collection still...I have no clue of values or prices anymore... Fun box...an auto is always cool but ive always been the type.that reduse to pay for another mans signature...but I still take my daughter to packers training camp every year so she can get a new jersey filled with free autographs every year...getting a mantle was cool ...he was right before my generation but still a hot card to get...honestly though I hope you didnt pay more than about $30 for this box...unless you feel you fot your moneys worth, because thats all that matters and you looked like you had fun...its a real shame I think where the sportscard hobby has gone...kids now a days really dont know what its like to get a couple bucks from their parents to go to the store and pick up a few packs to go through...card companies ruined it with insane production of tue cheap cards and now it appears to be just an adult hoiby full if ridiculous pack prices...a few special cards in cheap packs made things truly special...but now its wboever has the most money to waste...just ruined the hobby that was so much fun as a kid and even young adult...anyways I just happened to watch your vid and thought sinve you brought back some good memories I could take the time to give you a like and leave a comment.
Depending on the grade of that mickey mantel card could be worth MORE than you WOULD think.. a( 6) is easy cheeze grade to get on a uncerculated mantel and 6 grade sells for 350 bucks..
Idk what grade if sent in he would get but he defenetly made some money on that pull...

It says '52-'83, but how would '52-'56 cards fit in the packs since they're larger? I noticed you didn't get any pre-'57 cards.
