  • This video shows how to set and adjust the shift indicator lights on 2006, 2007, or 2008 Triumph Daytona 675 or Triumph Speed Triple 675. The bike in the video is my own personal 2007 Triumph Daytona 675.
    All of the information used in this video was taken from my owner's manual. If you have a different model/year, please consult your owner's manual for more detailed information.
    I hope I may be able to help someone out. Thanks for watching, and ride safely!

    Thanks for the videos, they have taught me a great deal about my motorcycle. Im having problems with my 675 when warming up on a cold engine, the engine managements making it rev up like crazy on the chock and will sit at 4000+ rpm till after 5-10 mins when it settles down and wants to idle properly. Im going to try the o2 eliminator mod you made a video on and remove the exup valve servo, replacing it with a servo buddy. my exup valve has ceased itself in the open position anyway and is throwing an engine management light, so hopefully these mods will help it run better. Always thought the shift light came on way to early, nice to see it can be changed

    It is similiar on my Speed Triple 1050 2005 - hold SCR and TRIP for 4 seconds to activate. You do not have any modes here, just the scale mode. SET button changes the increment from 1000 to 100 rpms and then you use your SCR button to set the desired RPMs. You then confirm by pressing the SET button. (scr+trip for 4 seconds to confirm doesnt work on the triple). Sean - thanks for the video! The shift red light at 7k rpm was driving me mad! :)

    Aswell as a Triumph Daytona 2010. I didn't set my lights but they start coming on at 10 or 11,000rpm and for every 1000rpm that it goes up by, a light comes on.

    What does that yellow light on the clock gauge mean?

    • @SeanStettnichs
      @SeanStettnichs  Před 3 lety +1

      I believe the yellow light you are referring to is the check engine light. When the bike's electronics are turned on (without the bike being turned on), the lights on the gauges cycle to show they are working. If I would have turned the bike all the way on, it would have turned off. The same can be said about the red oil warning light in the gauges as well.

    Why is it that my triumph 675 will start just fine but then when u give it gas the rpms only will go to 2000 and then the bike dies can some help me figure this out

    • @SeanStettnichs
      @SeanStettnichs  Před 4 lety +1

      Is the bike partially torn apart when this happens? I know there was a time I had the rear fairings off and therefore the tip over sensor was not correctly installed. The bike would start very briefly until it realized the tip over sensor was not upright, which would cause it to die. Is this possible? I remember trying to chase down a ton of potential problems and was taking the bike further apart just to find out that the whole time all I needed to do was put the bike completely back together so the tip over sensor was installed the right way.

      I appreciate the question, Saul. Unfortunately I no longer have this bike, so I can't make a video showing you how to change the speedometer from miles per hour to kilometers per hour. With that said, from doing some quick research, I believe you can access the "KPH" option by holding all three buttons down simultaneously for a few seconds. I hope this helps! Take care and ride safely!
