Guess who’s back, back again, lalis back, tell a friend
😆😂
I'm glad she is. All I've seen from her for a long time are ads.
Missed the real her.
She’s a busy bee. And bills need to be paid. If, and I trust her with that, the products are good I actually don’t mind them that much. Ofc they are not my favorite type of content, but Lali isn’t a full time CZcamsr.@@christophjohnson3777
Aye! 🍿😁🍿
Miss my 675. I ride for pleasure now I am retired. Don’t need comfy. Great review. Thanks.
I love how they have different riding modes. An experienced rider might stay in one mode majority of the time, but for a new rider, the more tame modes would be great while they get comfortable with the bike/riding altogether. I feel like this helps those who want a bike to grow into since it's a throttle that won't constantly punish them during a learning period. Definitely still a bike to be respected, but I really like that more manufacturers are adding multiple riding modes.
Gorgeous scenery. Thanks for sharing Lali! :D
Great video! Always wonder how much beautiful weather and gorgeous surroundings affect bike reviews!!😊
It’s a pretty cool bike. I’m glad we live in a world where fun sport bike style motorcycles are available and affordable.
Very nice, congrats on getting to do this! Exhaust note is cool, that's one of the things I love most about my Daytona (a 955, aftermarket exhaust, a modified Arrow system from Wilcox Engines in the UK, they helped Triumph develop the motor).
Wooh another Lali vid! 💯
To my opinion if you have discipline and the other perks you mentioned you can start on any bike, modes or no modes.
If you have self control and want to learn to ride proper, you'll ease into any power level of a motorcycle and adapt to it while growing with the bike.
But to people who don't have that obviously don't get a bigger bike. EU's licensing system is a solid system but for one who has the discipline it's a hassle as well I can imagine.
Area looked awesome, seemed awesome to ride. Really looking forward to nicer weather with more sun as well.
this popped up on my feed because big-brother is listening and do be knowing this my dream bike. . . .. awesome video. . ....!
I still got the OG 675, and its crazy to see what a different bike this new daytona is, in my opinion they should not have used the same name. That said i do think this new one is a fantastic beginner one, and you will not be exhausted after a 50 min commute like with the 675.
Interesting review, thanks for posting! I watched the Japanese lady reviewer (Ruriko 675) who posted a video a few days ago from the same test on the same bike at the same media event. Her review was in line with what you say. It's comforting to know that your review was a "Measured" look at this new bike and you experience was properly representative. 👍🏍👍. BTW You were a LOT easier to understand as my Japanese is very limited! 🤣🤣.
Ah that would have been cool to meet her! I think we must have been there on different days...
Good seeing you again Lali. Great review.
As a cruiser rider here in Texas, this is super neat! Looks beautiful there and that's an awesome bike. Great video!
Thank you very much for your review on this beautiful Triumph Daytona 660 . A long time ago in the 80’s I went from a Honda 450 Hawk to a Ninja 600 in 1986 I was 19 years old and my height is 5’6.
Never felt at ease on the Ninja and now that I watch your video I’m going back to riding bike 38 years after . I rode horses but I guess it doesn’t count 😜
You can't really compare the Daytona 660 to a 600cc sport bike, because it isn't one. It's better comparable to a Ninja 650, CBR 650 R, GSX-8R or R7 in terms of performance. All of these bikes have about two thirds the power of a 'true' 600 and are less track focused since they share many components, including engine, frame and suspension with a corresponding naked bike. So basically they're all just versions of their respective naked bike but with fairings and a slightly more tucked riding position. And the Daytona 660 is perfect for a beginner rider in Europe, where I suspect this bike's key market will be. As a beginner rider in Europe you have either the restricted A2 license, like you said, or started out on a full A license if you're 24 or older. Most countries in Europe have far more intense training than the US in order to acquire a motorcycle license and you have to do your training on a bike that fits the class of license you're doing. So most of the new riders on a class A license have done their training on a bike similar to the Daytona 660 in terms of performance.
They're also ridiculously heavy.
There is no advantage to it over even an adventure bike, more capable, more comfortable, very similar power-to-weight.
Utterly pointless, at least something like an mt-07 has 20-25kg on all of these.
@@HRRRRRDRRRRR Yamaha claims a curb weight of 185 kg for the MT-07 and 188 kg for the R7 and Kawasaki claims 195 kg for the Ninja 650. The only ones that are a bit heavier are the GSX-8R and CBR 650 with 205 kg each, which still isn't abnormally heavy. An R6 for reference has a curb weight of 190 kg.
People can make coparisons and differenses in anything quit being so touchy. If one only owned two bikes you saying a person cant compare them .
Bro, I test rode this bike today. This thing really goes. It's in no way a beginner bike.
@@HRRRRRDRRRRR when its raining, handling to rain mode for manual load distribution. Its engineered such a way for safety. Continue enjoying your ride when its shine ❤️ love from Malaysia.
Great information as always!
one of your best vids, thanks!!
Glad you liked it!
great Review Bike looks amazing and your info was so helpful. My 09 FZ6r is still running great but wow thinking abut the Triumph. Thanks Lali
finally someone who let me hear the sound of the bike while riding been searching for that for 3 weeksnow xD
thy keep up the good work
you're right about this being a higher frequency sounding engine than the R7; this is 3 cylinders firing evenly, so it'll have a tone of 3/2*RPM, while the R7's uneven 2 cylinders make the frequency you hear more like 1/2*RPM
Lali nice to see you content again
Nice Video Lali! really love your video quality
Thanks! I've switched up my bike mounted camera to the DJI...definitely an upgrade from my tiny Gopro session hah
Great video as usual❤
Great video Lali !!
Thanks! 🙏
Good review, thanks Lali. 👍
The best first impressions video on the Daytona 660 I've watched. Plenty of info, and comparable opinions. Well done.
Nice work, and excellent perspective. Agree regarding the front end looks, but i think its a great lil Moto and i bet there wll be an RS version at some point with better suspension etc
good content glad your back more often
A new video from Lali is like when you get together with a good friend you havent seen in a while. You get a bit nervous that it may feel awkward. Then you're together for 30 seconds and all is right with the world. Lol. Great vid! Would love to see you do ancomparison between this and the Aprilia RS660.
I want my videos to feel like you're video calling a friend. The vloggers I like watching most, their videos feel like that. Relaxed...like you're talking to a friend. So thanks for this comment, it means a lot! ❤️
@@AntiParallali Dude, you absolutely nail that vibe every time. Crushing it! Any time you post I'm like "Aww Lali, I miss Lali, hope she's doing well". (Not kidding. Hahaha)
Well, l think you are succeeding.
Are to off to COTA again this year?
@@AntiParallali
The segment is looking really impressive, with the entry of Daytona 660, GSX 8R, and Ninja 650. That inline triple engine sound just is music to years.
Hope we could have these machines easily accessible in my country. Great video. Liked the casual approach to review, and not like other videos where people scream over their lungs.
5:05 duuude! this was exactly my experience with the gsxr750 - the pegs were directly in line with where my legswould be when standing feet down at the lights so i am basically stradling the pegs as well haha
Gotta love the more upright style bikes. So much nicer to our bodies. Had my first ride of the year today. 62° in western Pa. Hope ya got to take advantage of it too!
New subscriber here! Thanks for the great helpful video!
Foarte tare journey-ul! Am ales totusi R7 vs 660 pt ca arata mai bine, imo si este foarte foarte light. :) Drumuri faine!
Love the bike!
I swear you just passed me in my lorry on a silver Suzuki 8R on the A1 roundabout M25. You have a lookalike out there!
I think the peg positioning is one of the bigger gripes I currently have with my MT-07. I've learned to avoid them at stops, but makes it so awkward to move forward or backward while sitting on it. Have to really waddle your legs wide to avoid the pegs.
Ladies and gentlemen, the incomparable Lali is back in the house!
Loving my Street Triple… Triumph just knows what they’re doing. And as a 5’2” female, it’s still comfortable for me as far as height goes.
I live in your area Lali, if you want to test it out!! 🏍️
Super nice review. Maybe I'll have the chance to go for a test ride myself or on something similar, like the triumph tiger 660, I'd love to see how it feels and handles.
Missed you Lali!
I missed you all too, and the sun lol, I feel like a bear out of hibernation.
@@AntiParallali Here in Michigan second Warmest Winter on Record December that is . Maybe overall warmest Winter on Record which means I never got to ride my snowmobile .
This is great, I was looking into getting this as my next bike. Think I'm pretty close to my decision
Great review
Very good review, your recommendations on using rain mode is interesting, new riders, especially younger guys would need some discipline and resist peer pressure from more experienced riders. I know I used to be one….But at least now they the option to vary throttle response.
Missed you Lali!!!
I loved my 07 r6 road it from nebraska to Arkansas it was hell but great at the same time
Triumph build great bikes, i've had a few over the years from from Daytona 955i to 1050 Speed Triple and last summer i borrowed the Trident 660 and damn that was a smiles per miles bike! I even asked her if she wanted to trade it for my ZH2 Ninja, i never the ZH2 but damn the Trident is a fun bike, and i can imagine the new Daytona is just as good. Which make me think perhaps i should trade my ZH 2 for a Speed Triple 1200 RR 🤔 Anyway brilliant video as always 👍
I preordered the Daytona 660 with the shorter seat I'm 5'6 with a 31inch inseam on a good day lol I can't wait to get on it
So glad I found your channel! I’m 5’2. Your videos have been so helpful, I’ll be taking the riding course this summer!
Much love 💕
That's exciting! I know you'll love it!
If you plan on getting the Daytona 660 they offer a shorter seat option too which I preordered mine with I think it takes it down to around 30.8 inches seat height
Awesome!! Didn’t expect you to do one on this bike but so glad you did! I’m selling my ‘22 R7 for this bike for all the reasons you mentioned
Curious if you think the same about the exhaust sound! I thought R7 was a lot more "growly". I guess thats from the 2 cylinders
Lali your so Kool Great videos with style 👍😊
The exaust sound difference between r7 and the triumph is engine layout. Bigger pistons and one less.
Very good quality vids 👍✨💯
Even though I'm a beginner rider (35 finally able to afford and got ome this year) i always believe you should just get the bike you want 😊. You just have to have a good mindset. No matter if its a 250 or 1000, if you can control yourself, respect the power, and stay calm you should be fine. My bike is a 2024 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT (hoping to get a 2024 Suzuki Katana if I can find one!), and its such a smooth ride! I don't really have the experience to give advice, but if you are one of those people that just want to rev up and gun, you probably should stick to a lower cc bike.
Good review! Seems like the CBR650R, comfy enough but sporty enough
Thanks Lali, great video.
I would love to see you test ride the Aprilia RS660 and compare the Daytona 660.
I did get on the RS660 but only in a track setting for a few laps so I'm not sure it would be a fair comparison yet
I don't think a beginner will 'just keep it in rain mode' somehow😂 plus yeah this is a 650 class bike which is typically under 80hp, a 600 class 'sportbike' is usually well over 100hp my 600 is 130hp and definitely not a beginner bike
Lol yeah I think the temptation to take it out of rain mode will be astronomical haha
Seems like a good 600 starter bike. Seems a lot tamer than the typical inline 4, more of a sports touring bike. It’s a good looking bike.
When is this bike supposed to release? I’m about to pick up the street triple rs
I started out on an RS660. I left it in low power mode for the first few months. No problems. I slowly turned the power up, and modded the bike. I have no regrets. Then after a year I bought something........a little bigger
they did the daytona name dirty with this sports tourer
oh dat, engine and exhaust sound of daytona ❤
I'm thinking about upgrading from a ninja 400 to a dayotna 660. Can't wait to get a look at them when they start popping up at dealers.
April in the states I was told! I'm sure they'll start demo rides around that time too
❤ It's great video... you are so happy ❤
Great video! I kinda like the dated look of the front. But the tail on the back has to go.
Thank you!!! Best review for this bike I've seen.
This bike kinda reminds me of the Ninja 650 (do they still make those). It wasn't a 600 supersport. Was sporty looking, but a little more upright in riding position and tuned down a bit. Not so twitchy. Definitely more suitable for a beginner than the ZX6. This seems to be Triumph's comparable bike in size and target audience. Seems like a good bike. The thing about a bike in that displacement range over starting on a 250, 300 or 400 is you're way less likely to feel like you want to upgrade to more power after a year of riding. 600+ will work for you for years.
great content and informative.. drive safe.....
Haven't yet read all the comments, but I can't be the only rider who gets Ninja 650 vibes from the new Daytona.
Thought you were in UK just for a sec when I saw the uk registration plates.
Hey Lali!
Greetings from 🇷🇴 😊
Really loved the video 🙂 but I’m just curious, how does your back feels after riding it?
Keep up the good work 💪and Asfalt Uscat😊
Salutari! I felt okay after 7hours, a bit tired but not strained. My wrists and back felt good
Triumph is always triumph..no disappointment
Is love random or are we chosen?! After riding an R7 I can’t seem to get over the experience. Daytona looks like a winner. Cheers
What about someone like me where this is my second bike (coming from an SV650)? Am I going to find it much of a likeness or is that extra HP and torque going to make it just a bit more of a zesty ride? Looking to move away from nakeds to something with plastics.
Going from a SV650 to a Daytona 660 is more of a sidestep than an upgrade. Both bikes target a similar group of buyers. An upgrade from an SV would rather be something along a Yamaha MT-09, Triumph Street Triple, Ducati Monster, Kawasaki Z900 or similar. A true 600cc sport bike like an R6, ZX6R, CBR600 RR or GSXR600 would also be considerable step up, but these bikes will have a much more cramped seating position.
Agree with Yasc_. Especially think about comfort if you want a supersport like an R6, longer rides are awful on these bikes. The Daytona 660 is ergonomically comfortable.
I think most beginners who would be buying a 600 sport bike don’t fall into the bracket of “I’m gonna put and keep this in rain mode” that selling point is lost on me! Either you trust the rider to manage their impulses or you don’t, modes aren’t the answer, mentality and education is!
How was the comfort level riding for that long? Looking to get this bike just want something sporty and comfortable
I didn't feel too bad after 8 hrs. It was more mentally draining than physically.to be honest
Lali-Pop, its time for you to Host a MotoSTREAM.!
That 660 Triple is a DREAM BIKE for Me.! 🏍😜
I've thought about doing live streams before...it may happen at some point in the future. I just need to figure out how to set that up properly.
If I had a way to get a message to you, I would invite you to other Motorcycle LiveStreams. I'll bet that my Friend "Dead Nought" would take the time to explain how to do them. In-fact he recently Hosted a LiveStream on another Riders Channel, don't ask me how he did that, but it went very well. mi per-son-al e-male is in my aboot section.
Yay the MT07 girl is back! 🎉
do you like the sound of the 3 cylinder? does it look more like a screamer (4 cylinder) or is it more deep like a 2 cylinder?
Not a screamer like a 600 cc supersport. The Daytona has about 93 HP, 600 supersports have around 120-135 HP
It's higher pitched than the R7 which is 2 cylinder...but doesn't sound excessively aggressive. Especially stock
Riding an MT09, CP3. Would be curious how its sounds from 6k rpm onwards, compared to the MT09. 3 cylinders making you have A LOT of fun!!! Cheers
In some Countries in Europe they cut the Power way back for beginner riders and riders under 21 years old.. I think they call it
A-2 or something. They don't have all of those restrictions in the USA.
which is probably why the safety record for motorcyclists in the US is way worse than in Europe.
@@fizzyridertoo I didn't know it was worse in the USA. I know that two big factors for accidents in the USA is Harley riders , riding from Bar to Bar and Sport Bike Riders crashing at very high speeds.
Not to mention Drunk Drivers in cars hitting Motorcycles and Idiots turning left in front of Motorcycles .
In the USA a lot of Motorycle Accidents are single vehicle accidents..
As for Myself I hit a Deer at 7:00 PM in the Summer in full daylight on a Hot Day. It ran full speed from a Corn filed that was growing to the edge of the road. I only had a split second to hit my brakes..
What’s the top speed of daytona 660?
I always advise a cheap used dirt bike for a zero experience rider so they can get seat time in the dirt B4 going in the street.
Definitely sound advice!
YES! Learning in the dirt is so much easier and cheaper to fix. Less likely to get run over by a car, too.
Im buying one tomorrow! going from an R6 to this im curious to see how much of a power loss it is
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised, put it in sport mode in the twisties and have funnn
idk it seems similar to a ninja 650, or Kawasaki z650, cause that bike would seem to be much slower than a 600 cc, mainly because of the seating position, i still dont recommend 600 cc bikes to any beginner, but this bike seems dope and very tame with the throttle, i have been riding awhile, but then went a long time without riding so i bought an mt 03, i should have bought something bigger, but i still love my mt 03, still plenty of power on highway
how did you get that on the balcony?
Haha the hotel was on different levels, that balcony was actually next to a little street
I have a street triple 675
Honda cbr650r vs triumph Daytona 660 which one is better??
I have to try the cbr650 first
how do you record talking? I would like to do this.
Do a CZcams search for "lali motovlog setup" that video is basically it
Honestly these are not the traditional 600cc sportbikes these modern bikes are twin cylinders sit more upright more torque less power... man i miss the og 600cc sportbikes
Well they still exist ! At least zx6rr and cbr600rr are beeing produce for Eu
These new "beginner" 600cc suck they are 650 twin cylinders traditional sportbikes are dying because they are to expensive it sucks
If you're going to complain then at least get your facts straight. This bike is a triple, not a twin. Torque is more useable and useful on the street, especially for less experienced riders. Supersport bikes are crap for new riders.
For motorheads, the word "clunky" or "clunkier" means you're talking about an old piece of junk.
The difference between a triple and a twin is varied. Twins have about 5 different sounds and feels, depending on engine configuration. They produce throbbing and pulsing, a thudding feel/sound, it's part of the nature of a twin and it's endearing and fun, it produces a coarse beefy torque at low revs. A lot of people love that.
Triple and fours are even-firing and produce power that is quite smooth (closely placed engine pulses) in torque delivery. The higher the cylinder count, the smoother the engine feels. Smooth engines can feel disconnected and dull to some people. Other people prefer it. Neither configuration is "better", it's just different.
nice Video Lali... we have too many rules & rider hoops to jump thru' in UK, unlike you guys across the pond jumping on any bike from the get go.
That's true, but American riders are not as skilled as UK riders on the whole. They buy stupidly fast or large bikes and are too scared to ride them anywhere near to the parameters they are designed for. The safety record for UK riders is way better than it is over here. I started my riding in the UK in 1978 and moved to the US in 2002, so I've got a pretty good knowledge base for the comparisons. The bike test in America is also stupidly easy compared to the UK, even compared to when I passed my test in the early 80s. In Oregon it was a set of cone exercises in a car park and that was all you needed to pass in order to ride any bike you liked. One of the guys doing the test with me dropped his bike during the emergency stop and still passed. The grass isn't always greener.
What do you think of Kawasaki H2 pleases do a video
Did you ever exceed the 60km/h? From the videos it makes me feel like you didn't go past 100km/h? Would be interested about your feels in the 100+ range.
Skipped a stop sign at 9min 😬🤫
Thanks for the review, enjoyed watching you ride again 🤠
Yeah we definitely did go faster but I tend not to talk much when we ride harder as I'm focusing more on the road...but I'll make a note of that for next time
Comparing the engine sounds, the R7 is more thuddy while the Triumph is more whirly precision machine like.😅
Exactly, thuddy is a good way to describe the sound
