Watermelon Cold Process Soap & Link to Care 4 Ukraine

- I've been asked for years to make a video of how I make my glycerin watermelon soap. I think people were curious about how I made the curved rind of the watermelon. After all, soap batter, both melt and pour and cold process, pours into a straight line. The process with melt and pour was that I needed space all around my kitchen to have everything ready for the pours. All the temperatures had to be right and I couldn't tend to my camera at the same time.
You would think that the cold process version would be more difficult, but it isn't. The process is completely different and the cold process version gave me natural gaps in the process to redirect the camera and focus on what I was doing. I can basically do all the work in the same location, so my camera could stay put!
With practice, the method shown here can be improved upon. There is some patience involved due to waiting for the right consistency to "shape" the soap and suspend the pre-made cold process seeds. You'll also need to make a scraper of some sort to form the curved rind.
You'll also need to make the decision about whether or not to cut the soap into wedges. I decided to follow through and trim them since I went through the trouble of making a realistic looking slice of watermelon in the first place. The excess chunks of soap was put into sachet bags and some friends of mine were happy to have these as my gift. They smell so good!
Thanks for the comments, subscribing and visiting the vibrantsoap.com store. I hope you'll direct your attention to the bonus video on the making of the Care 4 Ukraine soap that I have linked for you. The sale of that soap will be donated to UNICEF. You pay the applicable shipping and taxes and 100% of the price of the bars will be donated. Several have already been pre-sold to local friends.
Take care everyone. Think peace and we'll see you for the next video! - Jak na to + styl

Hello Dona! Welcome to my channel. I'm glad you like the videos. I can't believe I have close to 500 videos now. You may have seen that the emphasis of my videos are color choice and different types of pours, swirls and other aesthetic elements of soap making. Take care, thanks for your comment and happy soaping!

Δροσερο καρπουζακι τελειο!!!!!!!!
ευχαριστώ!
Clyde, such an amazing creator, you are! I'd love to try this. How did you create the scraper tool you're using? I assume the mold is from Essential Depot, correct? I have that mold so I may attempt this. Also, whose red colorant did you use? Mine all seem to give me red lather. Great job!
Gosh, I put all the information about the micas I used plus where I bought them in the video. I actually do that for every video. As for the scraper I just traced a circle from a jar onto a thin plastic cutting board and cut it with scissors.
And yes, the mold is from essential depot, but the process can be done in other molds.
Gorgeous! I love you eork! So fantastic!! I make my watermelon soap last month but the fragrance change my red😭 can you recomend one?
Thanks
I like Watermelon from Nature's Garden. It does discolor a wee bit.
Do you still make this
Nice but the white part is too large
You're absolutely right!
