I did the FlashFoods last week for the first time, got a box of oranges and a box of peppers. I chopped up the peppers and put them in the freezer and the oranges I'm just eating. Thank you for letting all of us know about it.

Hey Renee!!!! I love love love onions. Onions cooked in food never bother me. It is the raw onions that are hard on my stomach. But I love them! I just take Tums after 😂 I did learn to chop them, soak them at least 45 minutes, strain them and it takes that gas out.
Nothing like a Chicago style hot dog loaded with onions!!!
I am going to try that. He loves onions but they nearly kill him.
Easy enough to make. I personally don't care for stovetop in my meatloaf. I like oatmeal and veggies.

Trying to get myself motivated again since my husband has been sick and I’ve been relying on fast foods and freezer dinners. We’re looking forward to something different without so much salt. Greetings from East Anglia UK. You control those onions! Tell 'em who's boss!. So uncanny-i just picked up some beef mince on sale too. Made a batch of meat balls ( had yesterday with left overs tonight) and used part with some minced pork Christmas sausage meat for meat loaf. Never tried the latter with stuffing mix, always just stretched the meat with sautéd onion and breadcrumb. Will give the stuffing a go next time-thsnks for the tip. Loved how pleased you were with the fruits of your labour-very relatable knowing your freezer is full of family favourites made without breaking the bank. Happy New Year!

Meatloaf is so easy, only takes "time" to cook. Every time someone bought "Mama's Meatloaf" at Super One Deli, I'd think, man make it at home, it's easy. It's so satisfying and YUM. I'd only ad keep searching for your FAV recipe (to use young person parlance). John felt like working on his Dramatics today! haha. Hey John!

In our area of Michigan hamburger in the tube goes on sale (usually $1.99 #) every Memorial day, 4th of July and Labor day. You better believe that I spend these holidays canning that for our storage. Par cook it and viola-we have a ton of meals for the winter. The store hates to see me coming! Ha! Momma didn't raise a fool.

I love watching John step in to doing the tutorial! When I first started watching you he didn't want to be on camera and now he is the comedy I look forward to as much as your recipes! Please tell him how much I enjoy him! Renea, have you ever used venison meatballs in spaghetti? I use a homemade sauce recipe more than a hundred years old but there is nothing better than venison meatballs in it. I also love a venison/pork sausage mix in my hard salami. My grandparents lived in Farwell and they hunted & processed their own venison so I was raised on it. I don't know if you ever use it but it pairs so well with many foods. I would love to know if you ever use venison and if so, then what are your favorite ways to use it?
My family loves venison and we eat it as much as we can. I even can it. John is a riot all the time.

Very nice! We don’t have flash foods here. If I ever got that many burgers 🍔 I probably would leave 1/2 as burgers 🍔. My husband loves burgers . A girl can dream, right?

In my area of northern Indiana, we have 4 Meijer stores, and only 1 of them offers the Flashfood. Of course that one is about 22 miles from my home, so not sure it would be worth travelling there to use the Flashfood app. Darn!
I'm going to give the Stove Top (or as you say, Tove Top, LOL) a try in my meatloaf the next time I make it. I noticed that you used Turkey flavored, but I'm guessing any of the Stove Tops will do.

Everything looks good and I probably would have not thought to do as you have done....not using them as burger patties.
And my family doesn't like much in their Italian meatballs....for 1 lb. ground turkey I add grated parmesan cheese, 1 egg, some parsley, pepper, tomato sauce and Italian bread crumbs (which is my seasoning). But I would like yours too. I like meatballs.

Here’s a weird question? I made meatloaf, then froze it raw. When I took it out to cook, I cooked for the allotted time. When I pulled out it still looked raw. So I cooked for an additional hour. Pulled out still looked raw. Yes the oven was on😂. What in the world would prevent a meatloaf from cooking after frozen? Even after 3 hours it still looked raw. It’s been a few years since that happened but I am curious.
I have no idea why that would have happened. Your oven was on but maybe it was not heating right.
I make meatballs and a sauce that they simmer in, I know I can freeze the meatballs but not sure about the sauce. The sauce has veggies like onions, bell peppers, and celery. Do you think it would be ok to make the sauce ahead of time and freeze it as well?

I checked around my area for flash foods but they are too far away and only in Jacksonville Fl , but they have a site where you can request the company to come to your area , so I did . Hopefully they will . Where does the food come from ?? Do they ship it to your store ?
The foods come from the stores. Meijer has a flash food cooler and they stock it with their own needing to be used up foods. then they post the pictures on the app and you purchase it from there. Beautiful also ask your local stores if they want to participate in flash foods. It really cuts down on waste and people will always utilize it.

I don’t understand what flash freeze over night and wrap the next day means.PLEASE HELP ME
Ok, Flash freeze is when you freeze things individually. like chicken thighs for example, you put them on a tray not touching each other and freeze them, once frozen you can package them up and they will not stick together, where as if you just put all your chicken in a bag and fling it in the freezer it will be a solid frozen clump. This way you can take out as many or as few chicken thighs as you like and you don't have to that the entire bag.
