hard disagree, seeing it was a slap-chess thing and not a full on fight was pretty disappointing. They didn't slap each other at full force either, which I get is dangerous but still. It was still cool because it was a surprise that it was happening, but it could've been a lot better I think.
That last round of chess was really hype though.

Connor is right. Making and storing ice is cheaper compared to storing the bottled beers in the fridge. You’d be amazed how much a fridge would consume in a warm climate like the SEA. One factor is that it takes more time to cool a beer in a warm climate, that means more electricity to use.

The drinking portion aged really well considering Conner's first Japan IRL stream of 2023 where he and Pete ordered the a bucket and fishbowl size drink each and neither could finish it.
I am the exact opposite with Connor’s water take. Before I went to bed instead of bringing a cup of water, I would bring a cup of ice. So that way when I woke up, it would be cold water.

As a South East Asian, I can attest to playing outside on a summer's day and after an hour or so, you come in the house, sweaty and your face all red then open up the ref (fridge) get that cold pitcher of water out and down one glass. the cooling sensation is amazing!

I think a reason for why Fujimoto's characters are so likable is that their crazy side seems to serve as a coping mechanism, and their calm side is aware of it.
Like with Denji, the man is aware of how horny and silly his goal is... and you can tell it genuinely bothers him; how simple he is compared to everyone else. Almost as if he's not good enough compared to everyone else. But the man never got a chance to be normal, and Pochita gave him that chance.
Or with Power, she's off the rails crazy and fights with pretty much everyone. But around Meowy her real side emerges, and she's calm and intimate. And that side emerges at times with Denji and Aki.
So you know they're not JUST crazy, they actually have sides worth getting to know. Whereas with edgy characters in other anime that craziness is all they have.

But not every bar and restaurant has that, and it is more expensive than normal.
But with craft beer culture growing more and more, the new rules and regulations regarding who can produce alcohol becoming less strict, and the "Progressive Liquor" bill almost passing in the Parliament, people are drinking beer with ice less and less.
Of course, in local restaurants and bars, like Garnt said, Thai people who drink beer still puts ice in their beer.

In my country we have tea that's made with black leaves and generally brewed enmasse like 2-5 litres of it. It is always lukewarm even though you're supposed to have it cold, but that lukewarm tea actually hits nice because it is just such a different flavor profile.

Yeah! That's also how I imagined the scene could've worked out if they wanted to have that "beyond reality" feeling in the anime like in the manga. I'm gonna mention another anime named 86 (minor spoilers ig?) because there was a scene in episode 22 where they manipulated the aspect ratio to chop someone's arm off.
Another example I could think of is a kpop mv from a group named Ateez in their song Hala Hala (the 1:30 mins short version). I think it just looks cool to play with the black bars more for creative scenes.

I had the opposite with the water situation - I was abroad for work in a hot country and sat with colleagues, we were offered water and asked if we wanted room temperature or cold, they all said room temperature and when I said cold, literally all of them gave me a glance as if I’d just asked for blood - still bothers me to this day, I’ve no idea why that happened.
As a British person I agree on the take of people having their own mugs haha!
The mugs I prefer are a bigger size cup that's not overly thick on the rim when I'm drinking.
I also never use a black/dark coloured mug as I can't see easily if the mug is clean inside ( more so when I'm at someone else's house haha 😂 )

would take a beer with ice over a wine with ice and warm wine over warm beer any day. none of these (except the warm wine cuz this literally gets sold on Christmas markets - with some spices added - in Germany everywhere) are ideal but still, if I had to choose, I feel like these would be the lesser of the two evils. also pretty sure that beer changes its taste when stored too hot or put under direct sunlight so... hope that explains my choices lol

I’m from the East coast, but my mom was a Missionary Kid in Zambia growing up, and almost all of the goods they got there were imported from the UK because it was closer and cheaper than from the US. So a lot of her favorite traditions and foods that she passed down to me and my siblings are more on the British side despite being a US Citizen. Sharing Quality Street tins together with the whole family around Christmas has become one of my favorite traditions too😊Very good candies! And there’s always the least of the pink fudge ones, and they disappear the fastest😂

1:44:41 You can pull it off but only if you prepare a lot in advance. All you would need to do is define the frame of the show in any other ratio than the standard 16:9 ratio. Now you have an "outside" you can pull stuff from.
Theres a netflix show "Maya and the 3" that uses this technique to give its action scenes a sort of 3d pop out.
But hen again it would require a lot of premeditation and setting the entire show in a certain restrain just for a single scene.
