Yeah that's the problem with anything just within range of top tier, so many people there and you can all too easy get match after match of nothing but the top
Well I have a bad feeling that when they increase the top BR ceiling for aircarft the F3 will go up aswell to 11.7...

@@mitch3975 Oh yes it does, have a k/d ratio of 2, i consistently out performing the other nations players pretty much every game
Basically, it's the usual case for British top tier jets. Decent, but added too late because they insist on power rushing America and Russia. The tornado should have been in game before the Tomcat, as it's objectivity worse. Instead, it came several patches after, and gaijin act shocked when people say they're biased.

Honestly, I'm kind of surprised it's 11.3, the same BR as the FG.1 and FGR.2 Phantoms, and I have spaded the FGR.2 and end up really liking the aircraft, getting it to work despite the fact that it really has no right fighting F-16C and Mig-29. The Tornado really seems like a "FGR.2 plus", it's a flat upgrade over the Phantom and if you can make the Phantom work, then the Tornado will just click.
But this is nothing new for the British tree, we do routinely fight ridiculously advance aircraft and have to basically use 100% of the aircraft to think outside the box and survive. You get good with British jets or you die.

The weapons systems should be some of the best in game once it gets its ultimate load out of ASRAAM and AMRAAM missiles paired with the final stage 3 radar.
The FM is also being worked on as confirmed by a moderator. It’s my understanding that the manoeuvre slats are being properly implemented, right now the slats only deploy at 15-0% sweep with combat flaps where IRL they could be deployed automatically (like the F4E I’d assume).
There is definitely hope in the future of this plane

The weapons on the tornado are the biggest let down, skyflashes are mediocre at best and pathetic at worse, aim-9Ls are ok but the airframe makes them a bit more restrictive to use.
Edit: also I think in the time I’ve played the ADV (Italian version of the F.3) and spaded it I’ve probably only gotten 2 or 3 downtiers ever, this thing ALWAYS uptiers which makes it’s problems and downsides 10x greater
Currently maintaining my 3.5 KD over 450 matches in this beautiful truck. Once you’re in tune with the FM the plane is actually quite workable in top tier (which it gets dragged up into 99% of the time).
Relatively easy to force F16/Mig29 into an overshoot for ez clap kills thanks to the thrust reversal and ludicrous air brakes. Decent acceleration and top speed means that nothing but the aforementioned planes can actually chase you down.
Once you’re below 20 mins of fuel the first few pulls are actually quite snappy, and the power to weight in this range gives you more rate fighting opportunities.
SuperTEMP accelerates faster than other aim7 variants against targets under 8km, making jousting most planes quite simple, lock, launch and crank down to the deck. They also track right off the rail, had quite a few sub1km launches that manage to track and kill against afterburning tomcats and f16s (where guns is their only option due to high closing speed).
Edit: I’d like to add that it also carrier 9Ms irl later in its service and could see them adding them to the load out, or ASRAAMs with an increase in br to 11.7 once 12.7 is added with (presumably the F15 patch)

Yeh compression makes this plane suffer a lot. I play it quite a lot and can count on one hand when I’ve had a 10.3 game, which is weird considering the F5-C spam
After i've finished the entire US Aircraft Tech Tree, the Tornado IDS and F.3 are my next objective in the UK Aircraft Tech Tree

11.3 gets good amount of downtiers? I have 167 matches in the F-4S which is 11.3. Guess how many matches were downtiers? 1. Literally 1. 166 matches were at 12.0 and 12.3 once 12.3 was added. That single downtier was my 164th match. The MiG-23ML is 11.3 and guess how many downtiers in that? 0. 0 out of over 100 matches. The F-4 ADTW is the only 11.3 I have gotten consistent downtiers. MiG-21 Lazur also all uptiers out of now around 30 matches. F-4J has also been all uptiers which is tech tree so it's not just a Premium thing.
11.3 might as well be 12.3 because of this. The problem is if it went to 10.7 to avoid the Mig-29s and F16 constant uptiers it would be completely overpowered
Move the F16C and it’s counterpart to 12.7. Mode the As up to 12.3.
Honestly it shouldn’t matter. There’s a premium for like every nation except Germany at 11.3. There’s no reason it can’t just fight 11.3s at all times.
Something a lot of people forget I find is that the gun has a radar lead indicator making it super simple to gun kill people (especially using the stealth belt!). I would also always recommend taking both fuel tanks to get you into the battle, if you need to you can just dump them too and keep around 20-30min of fuel IIRC for this plane, it means you have plenty of fuel for the fight and fuel to get back to base if you need to.
I would suggest also to make sure to narrow your radar scope, makes it easier to lock things in front of you ^^
Also dont forget, if you fly stupid low (as in like, tree top level) most radar missiles will just eat dirt as they tend to try to explode below your plane, or curve down in order to pull up into you.
I love this aircraft. Radar is your friend. Dont get stuck in a hornets nest. radar lock? 90 Degree turn and chaff. Heatseeker? flare. Heatseeker with IRCCM? Flare and turn. I'd recommend this aircraft. with the Harrier Gr 7. all i got to say about this is try and remember weaknesses of the opposing aircraft and take advantage.
Radar is your best friend with CCIP guns to air. Track while scan. PD. Turntable radar scope.
You will never get shot down if you take the right precautions
I learned this from experience but what helped me is doing research on how the systems worked.
As someone who is spading the Italian one no it’s not worth it even though it’s my fav jet next to the drakens and viggens
idk about you, but in the sparrows M current bugged state, i will take a basic skyflash any day, since they actually hit, unlike the Ms that fly straight towards the target and right before it hits it does a 10000G dive or ascent into heaven or hell for literally no reason.
Would you consider doing a stock to spades on either of the Mirage 2k's? I've just got to them and it would really help out!
In my experience the 37 mm has never gotten me more than a nonlethal crit, ive shot 3 bursts in some targets and still just hit's.
It's literally the same problem with every single aircraft that isn't at the top of the BR rating. They ALL struggle because no matter what BR you play, you are playing 1 BR higher every match. The BR system is broken and they need to get rid of it completely. Just make Tiers the matchmaker, it solves EVERY problem.

I think you spent half the video realising that people like a challenge, a fair challenge though. You clearly enjoyed the vehicle even though you knew it was weaker, but it had the tools to get kills.
I just found it funny how he spends half the video trying to explain this fact without just saying it.
This plane holds it own, even at 12.3, I would rather have this plane then any F16 A variant.

Gaijin make it harder to unlock new wechiles as they raised the research points for all vehicles and upgrades. Can't see the point why CZcams creators supports Gaijins on the lates major update? Even some vehicles got in to folders still harder to reasearch all vehicles as you need to purchase 6 vehicles to be able to reasearch the next tech tree.

It’s great not amazing basically as gaijin hates the uk using it as a filler not meta the tornado f3 carried aim-9m and aim-120 asraams in real life but obviously they always make the uk vehicles just under bar with the main 3 nations
