Great info and thanks for the video. I would say the only good case for the high mounted step sides are when you barely can't get into your truck and being about 3" lower you can step on the step and it being as high as possible also helps with off-roading

Thank you so much for suggesting the AMP. It was a bit more pricey but considering my elderly disabled wife was having trouble getting in & out of her 2020 Chevy Colorado. I figured AMP would suit her needs the best seeing it was more of an actual step. Plus it retracting & also it lights up. I told AMP about hearing about them from your CZcams channel and I also told the local parts & installer here in Westlake CA that they were getting my business because of your CZcams page so I gave them your YT channel name also. Thank you for the suggestion in this video it made my decision on what would be the best to suit her needs.

Depends on the truck and which board you pick. They all are different.
Great video, we are 70 years old just bought a 2022 ford ranger , the dealer installed running boards we are old and heavy and the running boards are too high do you recommend a running board for the this truck that would help us get on to the truck a lot easier please help

They are very close to the ground , so I don't think you would need running boards.
