There was nothing stopping these men from buying the third seat in their row, to avoid any chance of a female for sitting next to them. This lady should file charges, and maybe this entitlement by certain people would stop.

I too am a million miler. I was departing from Kuwait City on Kuwait Airways. When I got on board, I found a woman seated in my reserved aisle seat at the back of the plane. She was wearing traditional Islamic coverings. When I asked her to change seats, she refused to speak to me, not unexpectedly. I asked a flight attendant to move her to her assigned seat. Replying in Arabic, she told the flight attendant “no.” I relented and told the flight attendant I would sit next to her in the (dreaded) middle seat. When he told her, the little old lady pitched a fit…yelling and screaming. She said there was a man next to her original seat which is why she moved to the back of the plane and planted herself in my empty seat.
Seating is a zero sum game on airline flights. I asked if I could be seated in her original seat. He returned a few minutes later to escort me to the front of the plane. It was an aisle seat. He thanked me for my patience.
I was a guest in Kuwait for business. I was bound to abide by their customs and laws. My situation was different from the woman in the video. In my estimation, United Airlines did her wrong. She was owed an apology and a make-good flight or upgrade.

@@MrTBoner1I learned too that it is cultural, not specific to the religion. You'll also find this disrespect for women by people of other religions and cultures practiced by women and men. Instead of expecting men to behave, a woman is blamed just for existing.
Noted, too, men from some beliefs are so freaked out by being near women that they cannot calm what happens in their brains. This said, it is not about religion or a whole country. It's about attitudes that blame women.
I understand this to be so after I discussed this with men and women from all around the world when I witnessed or encountered it directly. Knowing better now, I no longer want to travel solo to some places.

I hear that passengers seated at escape hatches are expected to assist people out if needed and to verbally agree or sign a document in agreement. Passengers may have something not safe for handling other people, such as large rings or long fingernails or they could be weak or have a heart condition.
I think I'd be safer if those passengers were to escape first as they may do anyhow - which their seat positions allow for, while I then can get out after them as my turn arises.
If anyone is to remain near any opening, that should be actual cabin crew who practice escape drills to save their peers and themselves regularly. They should be able to fit others going past any opening they attend to or not do that in spaces too tight.
And the cabin crew should be dressed in appropriate tops and pants with slightly heeled shoes which give some grip at the arch if needed but are not too high - half to a full inch maybe, with fingernails which are not dangerously long and no scarves around their necks or awkward hats which can be a hazard to them in an emergency. The cabin crew members should also be more attentive to passenger service and safety, not to maintaining uniforms and fakeup to "look good".
They are service members and should be the people ready and equipped to get people moving and out, that goes for women as much as men attending the flights.
Stilettos on an often bouncy and possibly a broken plane. 😢

That's like I heard of women soldiers expected to wear more of their uniform garments than men soldiers in stifling heat because the country they were serving in wanted women overly covered. The military uniforms that I know of are not "scant" or "indecent" they cover the torso and more than that of all soldiers. The women were as welcome as the men to help out but weren't welcome to wear only the duty equipment which works for soldering in the climate conditions in which they served in.
This woman passenger deserved her booked seat since that was the seat offered and bought. Men who can't be near women, right, they shouldn't fly with the public or at least they should pre-book on seats in a way they'll be only with men near them before taking the flight - but realize the risk a man may not show up and may be replaced to fit a woman passenger in.
Women have to gain the rights not to move, relocate or start new because someone can't accept them or can't leave them in peace. Companies, organizations and governments have to stop catering to men who can't get along or who otherwise have "values" or lack there of which harm or exclude women. Men need to respect women and find peace within themselves to join in or self-distance when / as they can. Men also have to respect that public is public, all can attend in a public place, so any movement or arrangement of people may happen.
