That 10th Anniversary gig was awesome...I was there. It was almost 37C when they started playing and Haruna nearly passed out twice from heat exhaustion. They played a 27-song set in front of around 40,000 fans at that Osaka gig. On one song, Haruna just stopped singing and Mami and Tomomi took over the lead vocals. They may be a gril band, but Mami is actually quite a tomboy...she once rappelled down Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas. LOL Haruna was Rina's legal guardian when they first moved to Tokyo, as Rina was underage. She has always acted as Rina's big sister. Tomomi and Mami have been best friends for years, although Mami is also good friends with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. Early in her career, Tomomi suffered from stage fright and panic attacks, but she is basically the soul of the band, always making people laugh. Tomomi and Rina also can cry on a minute's notice.

The Haruna taunting was started by Tomomi way back when Haruna once forgot the lyrics to the song. It has become an integral part of the song. BTW, Tomomi is often called "The Chipmunk" because of her very high-pitched voice...actually, Rina's voice is even higher-pitched than Tomomi's, whereas Mami is a 2nd alto and Haruna is a 1st Alto. Unusual for a rock band two have two girls that sing in Soprano range.
When they formed, Haruna was 18, Tomomi and Mami were 17, and Rina was only 15. In fact, when they moved to Tokyo, Haruna was Rina's legal guardian...Rina still has kind of an Oneesama Complex for Haru. LOL
Scandal is a great band. Just a heads up, their older songs before 2018 do the live performance. Songs after 2018 you can react to their music video for copyright issues. Scandal Baby is their unofficial anthem. This video was 6 years ago. Yes, they started in high School. Last year was their 15th anniversary. They are early 30’s. Tomomi and Mami always pick on Haruna during this song because one time Haruna forget the lyrics. Please do more Scandal songs!
