The new GT supposedly is not that different from the older ones.
I rode the V4S and that thing is rapid, this would be even more so but the price.
Damn, even 2nd hand ones will be bloody expensive but once you put some miles on they will be worth jack (a least in Italy it will be like that).

Glad you got invited over there but that Ducati guy leading the pack obviously didn't want to upset the local speed limit signs. So pedestrian.
At least go to the same state as Pike's Peak.

Came in to comments to ask if I was missing something as it seems a direct rival to the 1290GT. The '22 doesn't get the linked suspension like the SDR and SAS so it's more a mid life tweak than a true 3rd gen. I'm wondering if they've seen what Ducati have done and are revisiting their plans. My fingers are crossed as the Ducati is so premium priced

There's a small roundabout outside my gated community and I've lost count of how many times they've had to replace signs that get knocked over or how many screeching tires I've heard during emergency braking... or people drifting at 2 AM. People with the right of way routinely stop mid-circle to let me get on while other that don't have the right of way go full send because they don't understand them

Road you were on has some nice sights but I'm surprised you don't think of America as having great views! If you stay to the west of Kansas - you'll find some of the most beautiful areas in the world. The western half of the US is incredibly beautiful and gets so much tourism from people all over the world. Wish you could have gotten to head up to Northern California. You're Welcome for the US readership, Al.. There are a number of us here that have always bought UK bike mags in the shops and know who the Brit journos on youtube are. Frankly, print media for bikes in the US is dead and now all of the people that wrote for them are earning their way on CZcams-and frankly doing a great job of it.
Things are changing in the biking world, the launch you are on is proof of that. In the UK, it has generally aways been that older riders with more disposable money were the ones buying higher end bikes, now the US is like that. The problem is that as we get older, we care less about sportsbikes and more about not hurting for 2 days after a ride if we don't take aspirin. I'm one of those riders-between the wife and I, we have an R1M, EBR1190RS Carbon Edition, GSXR1000K5, Street Triple 765RS, a Hawk GT, A BMW R1200R, and a Grom...... I don't care about sportsbikes anymore, don't watch the tests or read the articles. It's not a matter of them being too much motorcycle, it's about them just not being relevant because the bikes we already had were hilarious in small blasts but useless as motorcycles outside of good riding days on weekends. Bikes like the Pike's Peak Mulitstrada, and Speed Triple are meant for people like me.
Hope to see your enterprise grow!

16:56 School buses are mobile stop signs in the USA. If the red lights flash, and the stop sign pops out you have to stop, or else. Also, when the lights are flashing on school zone signs you must reduce speed to 20mph (usually). My friend was caught speeding in a school zone after hours (sign off) but was still cited for speeding through a school zone. It's good that you had some guides there.

I’m pretty libertarian. Don’t really give af what people do. Do heroin in your basement idc. Stopping for school buses is a good idea and should indeed be law. Kids aren’t mature enough to be 100% responsible for their safety. That’s where we supervise a bit. Agree or disagree, if any of you had spent your day today in an interrogation room and with lawyers discussing the child you ran over I doubt you’d sleep well tonight or anytime soon.

Carlin Dunne, 4 times King of the Mountain, sold me my 2018 Multi 1260S in Nov 2018, eight months before he died on his 5th PP attempt. I was a 56 yr old ex dirt biker afraid of that kind of power, but Carlin talked me into it by assuring me I could tone it down until I was ready. I put it in Sport mode the 2nd day, put 15000 miles on it (Carlins dad Trevor set it up, full Termi, flashed, tons of upgrades) and ultimately tracked it on Laguna Seca! RIP Carlin you were the King, and Thank God for the Multistrada, both of you transformed and took years off of my life🤓. If I ever bought another Multi it would be a new PP.

Yep, that's the best part of California, it takes about 4 hours to cross the state side to side in most places and you can experience all four seasons in a day and all the different climate zones. From where I live in the Sacramento Valley, Tahoe is about an hour and a half and San Francisco is about 2 hours and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains are about 20 minutes from me.. which is where I learned to drive :D There's lots of great twisty roads up there so long as you keep your eyes peeled for a random cow or wild pig or deer to be in the middle of the road or gravel/boulders to be on the road suddenly.

And this is only around Palm Springs, which to isn't the best CA has to offer as far as views go. Go into the Sierra Nevada in the summer and fall, some of the best road motorcycling around. Winter is gorgeous as well, but not for motorcycles :)

America requires you to be fully vaccinated, and from Barons IG output, I’m guessing he’s not.
I wouldn’t mind, but he’s recently posted things like Joe Rogan interviews with Drs who speak against the vaccine. I’m all for free conversation, but he took it as gospel, when both had a chequered history for faking credits or corporate associations. It’s upsetting as I have a couple of friends doing similar with their own chosen content providers with their own narrative, and you can measurably see it damaging their mental health. @Tyler Braden In every large scale study, including a recent review of 29 million cases, the risk of all heart related events and bloodclots was significantly higher from the virus.
But even though the virus is worse, it’s still exceedingly rare. We are talking 1 in 28,000 cases, and nearly all recover without medical intervention or long term issue. Pfizer by comparison was 1 in 73,000. Some EU countries have rolled back the moderna jab for young people as the risk in men under 30 is close to that of the virus, so they use Pfizer instead.
It’s worth noting most popular anti-vax drs have shifted their views multiple times during the pandemic. They tried infertility, got debunked, came back some time later with heart issues, debunked, and now they’ve started with a “mass formation psychosis” theory of the vaccinated. Same people, wildly different claims, but the following tends to only know the one that hooked them in. It’s all just one big horrible media machine

I moved to Cali from Texas for its roads and beauty. I get to slay some of the most beautiful roads for sport riding the world has to offer aboard 2020 SuperDuke. But renting 2018 Multi Pikes Peak all next week to do long coastal ride. I ride SDR long distance, but in winter super nakeds are brutal for touring , even in California !

No lane splitting though :( And yes, this American watches you more than any US motorcycle channel. Cuz you guys are the best.

I love riding North Carolina and Tennessee, and I live literally off HWY-1 in California so I have twisty roads for days at my doorstep. Best riding in the US outside of the mountain west. In BC the roads north of Vancouver (HWY 37 into Yukon) is probably the best riding in North America, full stop. Hundreds of miles of nonstop twisties that one has to experience to believe.

I think the best way to describe these are sports tourers. But, the opposite of the sports tourers of yesteryear. Where sports tourers used to be sports bikes with extra comforts and luggage (I.e: VFR800), the new sports tourer is the other way around. Touring bikes made sporty. And personally I feel these work better this way, but it’s down to how each rider likes their riding position. But as you said, with an ageing rider group, the buyer has decided that the comfort side and riding position with sports performance, is more for them than when they were younger, when they wanted the sporting position with a few extra creature comforts.

KTM failed for the ‘22 SDGT by not putting radar on their sports tourer when the SAS has it. Wtf !! Love the Duke PP, but way out of my price bracket, even the standard v4s (which I’ve ridden and LOVE) is hard to justify over the price of a SAS

You are welcome to join us in Cali, just be prepared to pay for health insurance and high real estate costs!!! Part of me still wants to stay here, because of the tracks and roads. The Pikes Peak version has been the only bike which would make me consider selling my Tuono Factory. :)

There’s ZERO reason to live in California. All that said, I understand the intrinsic connection to your homeland which you were raised in 100%.

Wait, people actually think the US doesn't have killer twisty roads? If you measured something like "twisty roads per-capita", the US would be pretty low. But that's just because half the states are basically flat cornfields. Basically the whole west coast is littered with twisties. Las Vegas has plenty, Colorado and anything in the rockies. The smokey mountains.
