I have a 1975 that appears to me to be in really good condition. I'd say it tends more towards red than brown. Guess it might be worth getting graded. I started collecting as a kid so it's in one of those Whitman coin books.

The good news is the 1975p pennies are still out there, in high grade. I'd recommend checking penny rolls from banks, especially the one's brought in with the armoured trucks company name on it. I recently found a pretty nice one. I can't say for sure it would grade a 67 or more, but it has promise.

I found a 1975 P penny today that seems to be in really good shape. While I'm some what new to coin collecting I have done research into what is being focused on in the grading process. My unprofessional opinion is that this coin would be at least an ms65. Do u have an advice on how to determine how well a coin might grade?

I would have them graded by NGC or PGCS and then send them to Heritage Auctions, I would send the ones that graded 67 and up. If you have any that are toned or have a grease error ( discoloration from the mint or coin roll ), water mark or even partially rust colored these are getting the highest. sale prices.

Thank you for these tips. Yes I do have the 1976 D. And at a glance, it appears to be in fine if not very fine condition. Interesting how I got it. I was quarter hunting at the bank. When I opened up the Quarter roll, two nice pennies fell out of the roll. One of them is the aforementioned 1976 D and the other is a 1957 (which happens to be my birth year). I put them in a coin sleeve on a hunch they might be worth something.
One thing you could mention to your viewers is that they STAND OUT from recently minted pennies which don't have the weight of copper. Thanks again.

Hello! Thank you for having a great channel that's easy to understand / follow along! Just stumbled across this, and it was mentioned that we should let you know if other stellar condition 1975-P's or 1976-P's existed in the wild.
I'm pretty new to the world of numismatism (sp?), however, I also saw a while back that these 'underneath the radar' pennies (and their amounts) leaped off the PCGS page. So, I bought 2 gorgeous rolls of 75-P and 76-P cents. I currently have 36 of the 1976's, and 44 of the 1975's. I've checked out some of the photograding web sites, and if what I'm being told is true (and if I'm interpreting it correctly), than each of these 80 pennies total would be graded at no lower than MS67RD. I'm not being boastful, but in my recent foray into coin collecting, I'd be less than honest if I said that I did grade these with some degree of hope.
I would definitely love to get these looked at (just one of each year would suffice, I think). At least it would be information if I'm right on target or if I've completely and utterly failed. Either way, I get information that I didn't have before, so it's a win-win. Please let me know your thoughts, thank you for your time, and keep a great channel going! :) -scott

Last week @ Circle K, the clerk & I traded the coins in the charity box. The lowest I've ever seen the box (only 2 Washington Quarters, no dimes, and a few Jefferson Nickels. Outta 30 Lincoln Memorial Cents, only one caught my attention. So I left the store with 0.52¢ ( two and a shiny penny) instead of trading the whole box, as I've done before, totaling $13.00 and enjoyed every minute of the moment, considering I was a couple weeks in. The coin is the cleanest coin I've ever seen. Seriously, my 1975 D Lincoln Memorial Cent looks as if it was minted this very morning and fell into my pocket, lol.....

How can I find the value of this coin? I have seen coins exactly like this for sale for as much as $500. But when I read about the values of these coins, they say it could be worth only .60 cents. I HAVE A 1976 D BNI FAIRLY GOOD SHAPE . On the rear to the right of the e pluribu unum there is a small mark like a gouge but its not rough or mounded. How can you tell a mint error from wear and tear?

I think I have some in this condition I’m supposed to go in to Philly to have them looked at today along with some other years. I’m new to the hobby so I’m learning more everyday. I really hope that I have something, because we are experiencing some hard times at the moment. Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge every time I find a new rarity all I see is in God we trust and feel like God is answering my prayers through these coins.

Great video J&B, the only thing is at 5:10 you explained the colour grading but it didn't show the example for a red RD coin? Anyway thanks for the info 👍

I have both a 1975 and a 1976 no mint mark Pennie’s in very good condition.
As a matter of a fact I have numerous no mint mark Pennie’s in different years. I recently ran into very hard times, how would I get rid of the coins so I could get back to times?

Hi There.I have my gramps coin collection and its remarkable to see a rather numerous number of 1975-1976 pennies. As well as other coins from those years. Now, Lets just talk abbout these pennies. have more than one of all the different mints. We are sitting on a lot of the right years and mints, errors. it'd be nice to get some advice on the value of some of these. I have MS and could use whatever I can get to help make my home more handicap accessible and safer for me.

I realize this video is from 4 years ago, however, I do have a really shinny 1975 d, and probably a rub 1975 Philly penny and then some others in both years in browns and reds just not as shinny as the one I do have. If you do happen to read this, do you suggest I get them graded by PCGS or can I go through Anex? Thank you . Christy I can send photos if necessary
