  • ✨ FULL TECHNIQUE INCLUDING FORMULAS ✨
    I've gotten a lot of requests to share my technique for a balayage ombre look, so here it is! This is a modern take on the Ombre style that was popular a few years ago, but it's great for clients who want a little bit more blonde on the ends.
    The best part about this technique is that you can get your clients way blonder than traditional balayage in one appointment!
    This entire process took about 4.5hrs from start to finish, but we were able to achieve her goal in one session.

    I enjoy so much watching your videos! your work is always so neat and clean! love it! So you said it took you 2 hours to apply the foils, so how long the first foils you applied in the back have been on the client till you rinse them out? I attempt to refresh my balayage with the same products you used, with a 30 volume, olaplex and foils application, I let the back area sit for 45 minutes but i got scared to go longer and fry my hair, so I rinsed it out, I didn't see much lift.. maybe 2 tones and now my hair has orange gold tones. What is the safest time to leave the lightener on? my hair color is level 5/6 and on the healthy side. Thanks!

    You had said you may if needed remove the pieces at the front if they develop first I’m interested to know how you do that as that’s why I’m hesetant to do that as if the foils are removed before the rests ready it touches the other Hair and causes spotting
    Otherwise it’s rinsing foreward tricky or removing with cotton wool and towels ect messy 😵
    How do you do it?

    • @JamieDana
      @JamieDana  Před 5 lety

      Sometimes using an old fashioned water bottle and a towel will help! You just place the hair in your hand in the towel spray it. You just need the product off the hair in order for it to stop processing. Thanks for watching!

    • @PUREJEZEBEL
      @PUREJEZEBEL Před 5 lety +1

      MalibuC Crystal Gel will also stop bleach from processing - it stops peroxide from oxidizing. If I have some foils that are coming up faster than others I will put the gel in the foil to stop the lightener. Just put it right in the foil no need to rinse or spray with squirt bottle. They explain it in this video if you're interested: czcams.com/video/P-pbOo-3BcI/video.html It's been a game changer for my foiling work.

    Hi Jamie! I’ve learned so much from you! I love love your work. I really hope you see this comment. I really want to try this on my hair. I was wondering if I can use whatever conditioner I have or does it have to be the specific one you used?

    Hey! Your balayage video gave me alot of inspo for my future projects! but curious, would it be different to do all of the pieces before hand for the ombre? you did the left over pieces after ; is there a reason to do those afterwards instead of with all the other pieces already done? I hope tohear a response from you thank you!

      I want to make sure that we keep the hair in good condition, so adding lightener to the prelightened pieces and letting it sit on as long as the other pieces may damage it! Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

    Loved your video! But a question
    When you did the top of the head inch and half wide
    Before doing that part what you did last the V or the middle?

    Just a quick question, does the conditioner not act as a barrier? Like do you find it still lightens okay? X

    • @JamieDana
      @JamieDana  Před 5 lety +1

      It is being used as a blending agent. Thanks for watching!

    Love your technique, can’t wait to try! Wondering why you didn’t have to take the back foils you did first out before you took the front out? Didn’t it lighten more?

    • @JamieDana
      @JamieDana  Před 5 lety

      When you are taking them out, the amount of time between the first and last foil taken out wont make a difference. Thanks for watching!

    For the hairline detail, if the client doesn't do a center part would you still frame the face the same with the baby lights and use a center part for the front section or go off of where they like to part their hair

    • @JamieDana
      @JamieDana  Před 5 lety

      I would go more off where they part their hair! Thanks for watching!
