Thank you for these tutorials. I've been a stylist 42 years and believe me things are very different now. I need these videos so I can keep up and stay current. I've learned a lot about mixing and toning and the placement of my foils. I will always watch one of your videos!
Same Karen! So appreciate these tutorials Jamie. You are so talented and realistic/transparent so we canât take the techniques to the salon floor.
I have been a stylist for 12 years and almost always have to do shadow roots just to hide bleed marks from bleach. I tried your conditioner trick on a client today and oh. my. goodness, what a phenomenal difference it made!! I canât stand âCZcams universityâ for hairstylists but I am so glad I stumbled on your channel!!! â€
I love your videos. I use all your techniques, and became a updated stylist bc of the easy way you explains things! Iâm old school so Im always looking for more simple way to achieve new trends, and you gave me that, plus boosted my confidence in my foils!!! I appreciate the tips sooooTHANK YOU!!! Even got your wow combs they are amazing!
What are her wow combs?
If I struggling to tease the hair back I usually use texturising powder đ«đ
And is a lot easier
Your channel is such an inspiration Jamie!! I've been following you for a while and your content is so high quality and I'm always learning so much from you! Subbed!! :)
This came out so nice !!
Thatâs BEAUTIFUL
I used the conditioner trick to help blur the line when applying bleach on darker roots - as well as a clean brush to blend it out towards the roots more - it works AMAZING. Thank you so much for helping me gain more confidence in this trade :) Been doing hair for years but love learning new tricks. Keep it up!
love watching these!
Beautiful end result lovely
Your video are the best! â€ïž
Love this Jamie â€ïž great refresher and nice to see how taking the left out ends makes a difference when lightning those too! Thank you đ Sonia
Great video. Beautiful result! đŹ
GORGEOUS đŻ
Love this video !!! I learn with you
9GI and 10GI are my FAVORITE! I mixed some 9M in with GI on a client recently and it turned out amazingly. You really can't go wrong with those GI shades! Beautiful work!â€ïž
good to know!
The giâs are MY FAVORITE. Iâm gonna mix with a little m now too. Thanks for that!
The VG series is gorgeous too!
What does the I in GI stand for is it a iridescent?
Jamie, you just put a smile on my face - your enthusiasm and upbeat attitude are just awesome! I wish you could do my hair!!! Love this transformation. Also, my hair is short...but your long hair is my #hairgoals now :)
I am currently in school to become a cosmetologist & Iâm so happy I came across your account!! You give the best tips
Looks great!
Beautiful work. Maybe Iâll do that with my hair soon. Good job, Jamie đđđŸ
So pretty đ
I love your educational videos. You have helped me become a more confident stylist. Because if your teachings 90% of what I do is balayage
Sooo love your hair video. Your work is always stunning. Thanks for being willing to share your talents.
Her natural hair color itâs so pretty! This balayage technique is amazing it came out gorgeous đ»
Isn't it tho~oh my goodness I would love her natural hair! Beautiful colour, texture and condition....you could probably do anything to her hair and it would stay just perfect! Lucky ladyâ€ïž
Yasssss omg I miss your hair videos!!
Love this! omg her hair turned out so pretty!
This is absolutely gorgeous and well done! đ
I started using the blending agent a month ago and I use the biolage raw milk rinse and I love it thank you for the tip idk why I took me so long to do that
I have never even heard of a blending agent either. We are a matrix salon but our distributers and educators are not the best at telling us about ANYTHING! Matrix just launched all new bonded colors and I have to go elsewhere to learn anything. Can you tell me more about this blending agent?
Wow. Gorgeous
Beautiful! Thank you for all your helpful videos
Omg I absolutely love this outcome!!
Omg it looks amazing as always!!!đđ
Another FABULOUS look!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!! Yahsssss đđđđđđđđđ
Awesome as always! Thanks Jamieđ
Maaaan! Im just so glad you give us these tutorials! â€â€â€â€
Beautiful color. Nice wave. But using a curling iron on the hair leaves the hair strands very stringy and messy. Use a heated curling brush to turn the ends under a little bit so they look neat and natural.
Thank you đđđ
Do you prefer the milk rinse or shampoo? I was just watching another one. What's your current fav for blending? Thanks I'm really enjoying these. They are better than the btc education I purchased. đ Thank you
Gorgeous and I love the technique for the bangs
Love it
Fab but better without so much music in the background
Jamie will you show how you did the blending pieces?
Hey I just did this on my client today, Ive been doing hair professionally for about 17 years. I have had this client forever and she has incredibly thick hair. I didn't take my time I worked pretty standard pace and it took me about 6 hours for a cut, the bleaching, and a toner with a blowout. I always feel bad when it takes a long time to do a color/ full transformation but I was literally working non stop the whole time. Im curious how long does it take you to do your colors. Can you start adding the time it took for each style at the end of each video! Thanks
This is nice
Have you ever had any issues with a crease line on the hair since you bend your foil forward? I know that can happen just wondering if it's as big of a deal as people make it seem.
Super amazing my idolâ€ïž It's me Steph hairdresser in the PHILIPPINES â€ïžâ€ïž
Thank you Jamie Dana, your Tutorials Has Helped me So Much!! đ đđđ
Awesome
Love this, and your apron! What brand is it?
Hi,what you using near the roots area before applying the powder lighter?thanks
Hey Jamie, do you find you get a warm band at all when using conditioner to blend? Iâm nervous about that x
Me encanta love it đ
Hello!! I love your videos and practicing to them! I had a question, when you say you tip out the ends in between the foils on the hair you left out in the back section, are you grabbing all of that hair and fully saturating it and blending the top or do you weave them still?
Good question. đ€ I wanna know too!
this is one of the best videos IÂŽve seen!! looooooved it!!! thank you so much!!!
Omg yes a video with bangs!
If I were to go to a salon to get this done what should I tell them, because I love this but I donât know what I would be asking for specifically.
thank you very much for this video. The result is gorgeous! One thing which is not shown, is how you connect the back to diagonal back foils on the side, as in the back, you leave a certain amount of natural roots out, I suppose you need such a mount to gradually reduce when you go towards the front of the head. I find it interesting to find a way of doing it without a root shadow, just by using the natural hair color.
Why do you apply the shades eq to wet hair? It states to apply it to dry. Do you find it better on wet? X
Anyone else agree that this model's hair is beautiful before also! Beautiful either way!!!!
Hi Jamie, love your tutorials and you were the first person to introduce me to conditioner as a blending agent, so thank you so much;-) I find that it works brilliant for natural bases 7,8, i do find that for me , the blending gets a bit orangy on darker natural bases like 3,4,5,6 , any tips on that? Thank you and lots of love your way, im binge watching your videos for inspiration;-))))
Cosmetology student here! I noticed that you put some lightener on the blending agent, will that lightener hold? What happens?
Amazing job. Truely beautiful I aspire to be like you â€ïž
Hi jamie dana from brown to blond how abut if heat is black can you do toturial
How many tip outs did you do on the side of the head I saw one but is it every other or just at the hairline by the ear?
So you just add conditioner with out any color? For the blending part? I am new to balayage and have so much trouble with that brass line
Youâre awesome! đđ
Love your videos thank you
I love your intro!!!!
How much of each shades eq shade did you use please?x
I want that shamppo bowl so much!!!
I have been told by 3 stylists at 3 different salons that it would be impossible to get my hair this way in one session. A couple of months ago I paid over $400 to get a balayage. It took over 3 hours and afterwards my hair barely looked like it was highlighted. Next time I am going to do my hair myself. If I screw up at least I didn't pay over $400 to have someone else mess it up. I doubt I will do worse than these professionals I have been going to.
What is the name of the matrix blending agent you used please ?
What if they want their base done a couple levels lighter? Can u apply in between with all the tease?
I've heard and read a lot of stories of women saying Olaplex has been making their scalp dry and raw and causing extreme hair loss over some time. Have you ever heard or researched this? Just curious, I have never used it thanks.
Edit- some time meaning 2 or 3 uses of Olaplex, hair continues to break off and fall out for up to a year with many women with no remedy
Amazing transformationđđđ
Great vids but I have an attention span of a flea lol could move along alittle quicker but thank u for these tutorials đ
Can you use a retouch color for a blending agent especially if you're covering grey?
So beautiful đ
Thank you for showing the hair when it was straight
Hey what is blending agent? Where can I find it? :)
The color your using makes no the roots to hold down her hair is it the same as her natural ? Or r u coloring her roots at the same time ?
Beautiful work but it would be really nice to answer all the questions asked. Some of them are questions I had too. Love following you! Thanks fir giving us confidence and great education!
I have never even heard of a blending agent either. We are a matrix salon but our distributers and educators are not the best at telling us about ANYTHING! Matrix just launched all new bonded colors and I have to go elsewhere to learn anything. Can you tell me more about this blending agent? What is it? What does it do?
Same I have never heard of the blending agent sound like an awesome new product đ
Can I use any lightweight conditioner as a blending agent?
Yes you can!
Beautiful work, thank you.Can conditioner be used instead of a blending agent?
Following.
Following
It's a different consistently, I wouldn't recommend it
@@Glesga_lassie wanted to try it out on client tomorrow, any ideas on what I could use instead? It looks like it could speed up the process by anchoring the hair in place and creating the blend..I don't know if you can even get blending agent in the UK.If anyone has any tips they'll be gratefully received đ
Yes you can! It HAS to be a super lightweight conditioner though or else you will get orange bands.
Great! Would you please explain that what do you use as a blending agent?
not one single salon will do this on my hair, I have had one set of lights, been told it will take another 3 times over 5 months! and it's a journey! so stuck with brassy brown right now
Her hair is sooo beautiful and shiny

What exactly is a blending agent? I'm imagining it's similar to a conditioner, but I'm curious about the texture and consistency.
Have you ever tried Shades Crystal Clear with Processing solution for your blending agent?
