Driver From Florida Arrested for Human Smuggling During OLS Traffic Stop

A DPS Trooper discovered two illegal immigrants inside an SUV during a traffic stop in Kleberg County. The Trooper stopped the vehicle on US-77 and requested assistance from the Border Patrol K-9 Unit. The K-9 alerted on the vehicle and discovered two illegal immigrants from El Salvador in the rear hatch hiding under blankets. The driver, from Florida, was arrested and charged with smuggling of persons.
