How long will it take for law and order to prevail? These high cost deployments have been taking place since 2007 or 2008. I wonder how many divorces have resulted because of the states necessary involvement in a neglected federal responsibility. How many tragic events would have been prevented elsewhere in Texas had the resources been working in their assigned duty stations? We will never know for certain, but we do know all Texans deserve all the services which the Texas Department of Public Safety is trained for and eagerly desires to provide. Border states need their federal partners to be appropriately staffed, funded, equipped, and supported by their governing bodies.
