A lot of your pictures of tire wear isn't really wear. It's pick-up. Drivers back in the day were told by their engineers to drive off line during the cool down lap after a race and "pick up" the loose rubber thats on the track. This will add weight to the car so the teams can have a lighter car during the race, and use pickup to make sure that when they are weighed after the race, the car is heavier than the minimum weight.
almost every picture you showed to illustrate tire deg, was simply a tire at the end of the race after the driver has intentionally driven off the racing line to pick up "marbles" to add weight to their car.
Thanks for this feedback - you are correct. We will look to improve the images for future videos. We made a seperate video made on “marbles” for those interested. czcams.com/video/gzFAxnjmm3s/video.html
@@F1Education hey after hungary grand prix...ferrari disaster tyre strategy i'm now confused how do they calculate and choose the strategy to which tyre to use first for every race ...can u pls explain this... Earlier i used to thought that every race it is compulsory to use alll 3 tyres ( soft medium hard) but i'm wrong i think
@@blitzkrieg1254 thanks for the comment. It is compulsory to use two different compounds during a race. In 2022 teams have free tire choice to start the race. Leclrec and Hamilton went with medium. George started with soft. I think the differentiating factor was Leclrec chose the hard tire to finish the race and that tire did not have a good performance. He could have stayed longer on the medium and went with soft and he could have had a chance to win
Great video for newbies to understand👌🙌
Great explanation: detailed yet concise. Learned something new.
Very good video! Definitely needs more views💪🏼

Useful for go Karting too
