yeah this is the way to do it! basically you can do this without that power sanding tool, just pick up some tools from the Home Depot and follow those step that he did, the result is the same.
I was going to have someone do my rims but I was worried that the repair would not last longer than a year or so without the clear peeling off . What do you think ?
I would have though given the conduit he would have applied more paint protection. But the results speak for them selves. Tesla makes some sexy looking performance wheels but sadly they have ZERO curb protection. I have a PMY on order and will retire the 21” tires/wheels upon arrival for fear of curbing them. But I want a softer ride and recover some of the 27 miles of lost range from the LR. $75 is more than fair for the quality of the repair.
What color of paint did he use... I can't seem to find a definitive color for my rims (same as yours), online, everyone is giving guesses or they heard other colors. Thanks, FYI it looks like a great job. Congrats
No you're not a pain in the pass for Telling him to remove that from your paint. It's suggested to remove the wheel for repairs like this due to dust and overspray getting on vehicle
That’s the first thing I thought of when he busted out the spray gun and didn’t cover the rest of the car. I would have just taken off the wheel and had him do it a far enough distance away from the car
Amazing job
That's impressive!!
What a quality! OMG.
Quality and efficient work! This video gives me hope that my two Model X rims will be repaired. I have to find someone now. Peace,

Just did this to our model y black wheels, almost the same size of scratch. Mind me asking around what this ran? Just so I know what to expect
Thanks for sharing! is this Magic one located in California?
Where is this located? I’m in California and looking for someone to do my rim rash

Records it in 4k but uploads in 1080p 🤦🏽♂️😂
How long did the current rash repair hold up?
I got rid of the car less than a year later but it held up great
How did you find this service? What did you search?
Jennifer Brinkley-Shannon wheel repair
Kinda want someone to do mine for me. Not tryna fuck up a turbine wheel when each one costs over $1000
omg all that for that small scuff mark? Just sand that down with like 100 grit paper and paint it lol...
How much did it cost?
Juan Osorno $75.00
Great price. I was quoted $150 per wheel here in Miami.
Juan Osorno that sounds expensive.
It is

i cant believe the the owner didnt flip out. he should have covered the car within 3feet of the area being worked on...
Very true wasn’t thinking of that back then
I wouldn't let anyone grind my wheels without protecting the tires or spray paint them without covering my car.
Lol "The paint on my car... will it come off?"
the modfather lmfao
