You can usually find a mobile repair guy thru a tire center or used car department of a dealership. They will fix it at your home or dealership for about $125 per wheel. It’s not cheap but at least it will look brand new. They use power polished and matched paint using air sprayer. Perfection
I agree. I would not want to see any residue from the repair either. It's worth it to have a professional wheel person fix it.

Wow, super, terrif video! Thank you so much. I had some curb rash on my T3 rims. After watching the video, dashed to the auto store and collected the paint. Then I went to work on the rims! I checked them out this a.m. and they look great. It is definitely saving me a lot of money. I also ordered some rim tape to minimize future curb encounters!

you should use higher grit sandpaper for a smooth finish.
Yes I mentioned I purchased 2000 grit sandpaper.
Hi You said after 20 mins that bondo is dry.. I applied it for more than an hour and it still looks and feels fresh
Humidity makes a difference. In your case, it will take longer.
if the bondo still shows, over the paint, how do i even it out?
Lightly sand the bondo until it blends in with the surrounding paint.
NEU-106E is the paint code for the wheels
I just looked up that code and saw it is for the Model S 21" wheels. I can't find any reference for Model 3 wheels. Do you have a link?

It's not a bad idea to cover the tire. If you are careful with the paint, you shouldn't get any on the tires. The bondo should rub off if you get any on the tires.

where is clear coant paint? What brand u used
Everything used in the video is listed in the description. I used the Dupli-Color AFM0360 Dark Shadow Gray touch-up paint. No clear coat used.
