“Looks like I got a wire that fell out, little gangster trying to sneak by” love this vid and I’ve got a direct port injected V6 right down near the fuel injectors that gave me way more power than doing it upstream as the most can’t handle corners and streams down the intake unevenly. Getting a fine mist right into the Cylinders evenly is a game changer and allowed me 11 degrees extra timing with no knock. Liquid that’s not misted in yore cylinders get kicked out the exhaust with not much benefit.
You should be able to smell the Meth from the exhaust. The advantages include adding some timing without detonation. 1-2 degrees of timing might be all you need for the goal. 😉
Man, that meth helped a lot! That duty cycle is still alarmingly high - 80's (is that what you have?) should support near 1000HP maxed out, at 58psi base. Either way, 90% is a lot better than 125%, but it's still near static. Also, instead of mixing all that stuff, we use straight methanol (which is what's in heat, I believe). So much easier than mixing stuff, cheaper I'm sure, and will probably help even more with getting some duty cycle back too. Either way, I can surely admire your tenacity with this project!
I just had the stuff sitting on the shelf so used it... I pulled another 8% last night and wideband is still in the 10's. I'm just gonna keep pulling and see where it goes. Should be significantly lower when I can get it to 11.5 ish.
Did you give up on the meth injection on your newer builds? My build is pretty similar but not a lot of people post content on their setups and results.
Maybe I'm stupid. But wouldn't that meth system be more for a diesel system? I get that your trying to bring your temps down but why would you add water/alcohol to your air fuel mix the idea is to create more bang not to dull it down??🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
The tuning school did a pretty good test showing these results. VP85 plus methanol made the highest power. The additional safety I'll gain by the lower temps/higher octane will allow me to run higher boost and more timing than I could before. It also riches up the fuel mixture by .5 to 1.0 so I can pull some fuel and have more room to grow...

Wow. That's a impressive improvement on your iat's. This along with the fuel rails and extra pump should get you to your goal !

Methanol Pump failed at the track so I never went back to it after that.
It would be cool to see a test of spraying meth right into the compressor wheel vs right before the throttle body
