  • turns out the original manifold on this bike was a little too large for the carburetor, I guess that's why I was having all the issues with the clamp on there. I got a new engine manifold on amazon for gy6 engines and it fits a lot snugger and the clamp doesn't have to crimp the thing on there anymore.
Now it runs perfect. Just have to give it a little gas sometimes to get started but it holds a low and steady idle forever.

Also turns out the belt NEEDED to be replaced prior to it disintegrating... I mean I couldnt even get the numbers off the thing and all the cables were stuck in the rear variator and clutch. I'm gonna replace mine after one year, maybe less, I only went like 14 months before the belt disintegrated, but I bet this new belt from amazon will last a year for me.
I put an 835 20 30 belt on it, after buying a compressor and and impact wrench, because it would have been impossible to do it reasonably without that imo.... Idk if it's just the belt, or the new belt and the new engine air fixes, but whatever it is the performance is like 15% better than ever, especially in the low end but at the top too. acceleration seems like twice as good. Idk, its weird, I wish I knew what was on here but the 835 belt works great

turns out the engine manifold had a crack in it, I made it much worse over tightening that hose clamp but I think it's always been there to some degree. After taping it up and putting it back in the engine now FINALLY is running at a steady low idle and not conking out

So the replacement engine manifold fit on the carburetur much much better than the original one. I think the outer diameter of the carbureturs for the gy6 are typically 24mm outer diameter, and the manifold that came with the bike was like 26mm connection or something, I guess thats why the clamp was such an issue. The new manifold fits much better and no problems, if you're having engine issues definitely check this out

I forgot to mention that all the back pressure from the original muffler when it went bad broke the original spark plug so that was replaced too. I'm still glad I bought it, cheapest way to get around.

also, highly consider swapping all the lights, even the ones in the dash board piece, out for LED, this bike runs better all around, like better pickup and high speed!? i thought spark was spark but I guess not

Where did you get that digital Speedometer? I’m having a very hard time trying it find one.

That "fuel pump" is actually a "pairing system". They ruin scooter engines because they're lefty blue tie bs parts added on to "control emissions". They suck. Remove it. I also have this bike currently. Not a bad bike by any means. Just get an aftermarket muffler, put a Nibbi 24mm carb and upgrade the jets, remove the pairing system. Also get a windshield. It'll help with acceleration and make it smoother because I noticed the bike isn't as aerodynamic as it looks.

makes sense that when looking for a manifold it was hard to find one with the extra piece for the pump, I think i got a manifold around without that I bought by accident, I might give that a try.. Seems to work well for me, I know it wasn't working well when the line was kinked

Thank you for this info! I can't find where to order parts for my X-Pro Fiji 150cc.

@@OGmolton1 I know this is 8 months late but when you remove the pairing system from the bike you need gasket paper, a piece of metal or a "block off plate", and rubber cap covers. You can't just take it off and go. Btw I still got this same bike. Not a bad bike.

thanks, i will have to give that a try at some point next time its acting up on me, sounds about right.

@@OGmolton1 have you removed the pairing system from the bike yet?
