Is the replacement stator for this engine P/N 611094 or 611097 ? If I upgrade to better stator will the flywheel need changed out to ?
I love it!!! Everything except the dummy 30-06 pointing directly at the back of your leg. I do believe I'd remove that before riding any bumpy trails.

That's turned out to be a nice bike & probably fairly grunty, the 10 HP Tecumseh engines are 358 CCS in capacity I think !!!!
The plug fouling thing also depends on what you use the motor for,like my dads Honda GSV190 powered HRU217D push mowers spark plug has run black since brand new.
As long as it still goes,we don't worry about it as it still uses the same spark plug 14 years later,all I do is clean & regap it for him,the outer electrode is starting to round off now so I'll replace it when the time comes.
I had a Honda twin which was like that & the plug fouling was caused by worn rings.
An NGK DH6A (hotter plug) ran o.k. for a while when the DH8A's kept on fouling up.
The push mower has a 186cc engine which just putts along at about idle speed when cutting grass so the plug is likely to run black.
I think it's just the way the lawn mower engines are !!!!

Taryl, this was a great build. I especially liked how you cleaned up all the goopy welds. Using a champion spark plug was a definite spoiler for me. Why champion, when you could have used any of a myriad of other better makes. It boggles the mind?
