You've given me the courage to do this on my SLK.
Just remember to tighten the bolts on bushings by letting the car settle on all 4 tyres. This is to prevent immature wearing of the bushes otherwise great Vid
This is a great video because I can see that this job can be done without a hoist and a load of special tools.
I was also a little intimidated by having to do the brake caliper and the ABS.
Thank you so much
I love your 'garage'. Outside with a natural roof and plenty of light. Great video, i am replacing the upper/lower control arms on my W211. (Both sides)
Thx.
Thanks for posting this, Frank! Big help!
Great addition to the other good videos out there. 👍
Great video and very easy to follow. I need to order my parts and I'm ready to go. Thanks!
Thanks for your excellent performance in detail. Good luck
Great video, Thank you for sharing your knowledge 🙏🏽 replacing both arms on 2006 C class tomorrow 🪖
Good job. I need to replace the lower control arms on my C230. I get the same clunking sound. I had the upper control arms replaced not long ago and should have down the lowers also. Thanks for this.
Great video!! Thank you for your knowledge of information!!
Great video my brother !
Excellent work !
Awesome video !
Thank you for sharing. Great job.
Just done this today. Brother you saved me a whole lot of money, cant thank you enough, blessings 🙏 from England.
Apreciate it brother
Nice video 🙏🏻
Awesome thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
So I've completed one side of the car with 2 new arms and steering ball joint.
I've started on the other.
It has gone to plan. Thanks so much👍it has helped me enormously this video.
I found removing the ball joints to be harder than expected, but thanks very much
Happy to hear that you made it out. always here to help :)
Did you have to do the alignment after the job? Thanks!
Excellent Video - Mercedes does charge you labor for removing the brake caliper, whether they do it or not. Last estimate I got was $754.00 per side for the Torque Struts plus the stabilizer bar for $363.00. Taxes and lubricants bring the total to almost $1900.00. Doing it yourself with the aid of your video saves a LOT of $$$...Thank you so very much Frank...
Wooow. That’s a lot of money. Welcome
good job
Thank you my dude now it’s my turn lol yaaay jk thank You again for a great video!!
Great video so much more information than all those with 500k subs don't know how they get so many when they just change the part in a garage on a lift don't show bolts or anything am I that dumb to need visual aid 🤣
😂😂😂😂hhahahaa indee. Thanks man appreciate it
Well done my brother. Simple and benefited from learning how not to do more than I should. Just interested to know if you tightened the bolts without compressing the struts?
Yes there was no need to compress it
Any advice for the rear control arms I have to replace 4 of them minimum
Wow! Your video made the steps very clear. Thank you!!!!
Very nice toes too 🦶🏼 🦶🏼 🤩
Does it creak when you are getting out of the car
Thanks for a great video. Did you have to realign the car?
Thank you. no wasnt needed
important to jug up the arm before tightening the bolts ? thanks
Yes very important. Drop the car back to the ground and then tighten it
@@frankcumaio8328 what will make the difference? thank you
I got down to do the job only to find out the subframe is rotten, and I dont think changing it is a job I can handle
I had this done and now I have 3 lights on the dash. The ABS, ESP, and BAS. Did yours do that?
No I didn't mate, try to check if you didn't mess with the abs lines
Frank Cumaio turns out it was one of the abs sensors. They changed both of the front ones and it fixed it, so🤷🏼♂️
@@zippy0099 glad you sorted mate
I watched another video where he said. It to tighten fasteners for control arm until car is lowered to ground to seat the control arma properly. Also he used a ball joint remover. What do you think? Thanks
