American here. I had real trouble following this accent. Reminds me of the summer I spent over in London years ago. I thought I'd get there and everyone would sound like the royal family, but no such luck for me.
@@lukem118 - Yes, Downton Abbey! Watched it all the way through at least three times. The upstairs accents were elegant and very easy to understand, but most of the downstairs accents were pretty easy to follow as well.
He was live at the Apollo. Next time he was here though, he was live at the"A", because this time, he saw pollo, thought "I don't mind some Italian" and decided to have a bite.
"But now, absolute quality!" I have to agree. I hated being grounded as a kid. Now, id give anything to avoid everyone! xD Also, I may buy myself those playing cards.
Someone did the gay playing card prank on me, gave my mum my washing from uni and she sent me a picture of a gay playing card and a fake moustache from my jacket pocket....
Since first seeing this, last year, I’ve had an ebay alert for ‘gay playing cards’. And nothing; how many did they buy and what part of the world were they...
i really like rob beckett, and love his humour. i even like his teeth. but it is so hard to understand him. he speaks quickly, and he has rather a thick accent
... I think he's exaggerating the class divisions for comedic effect. Many observational comedians need to exaggerate something or other for comedic effect
yeah but when they all do it, just seems a lazy trope; when they're are middle class it's like some odd social form of 'catholic guilt' Ironically, there's part of me that wishes the middle class(es) were well educated culture vultures.
Jackjude ... yes, it actually is a lazy trope... because many observational comedians rely on lazy tropes. Comedy is a very tough business and a lot of the time it's easiest to rely on lazy tropes in order to connect with the audience.
Indeed these are the comedians who are for people 'who like a laugh', but don't really follow comedy - I don't mean that in a disparaging sense; as they would be bored shitless by the ole tropes wheeled out on a BBC compilation. The dynamic is consensual, laughing in agreement, rather than surprise, shock or discomfort.
It's all a bit out moded. Has been for years (middle class having 3 strata - where did they come from, where did the middle class come from?) demigraphics is more up to date. And of course you can get to change it!? It called social mobility, over the last 40 years Universities have been "full" of kids who's parents were working class, like mine.
so what your saying is you dont like alot of modern british comedy so it shouldut exist because you dont like unfortunally for you life dont work like that
I think I'll go and watch the paint dry...
if youve seen this guy on a game show like mock the week, thats when he's at his best. funny dude
Agreed. Very underrated comedian!
He's crap are you mad

I actually miss pingu...
“Down the slope on your belly and you’re in the igloo “🤣🤣🤣
"My Dad's a bit of an old school Pingu lad". Brilliant.
Quality!
I really expected an "it's raining men" joke at the end.
this guy is fucking hilarious
This guy is the best 7/10 comedian I've ever seen.
He looks like the cramp twins from Cartoon Network.

What are you talking about? Comedy is universal. Signed: a foreigner in stitches.
He is awesome
American here. I had real trouble following this accent. Reminds me of the summer I spent over in London years ago. I thought I'd get there and everyone would sound like the royal family, but no such luck for me.
Lol. All American’s think that, but to be fair we export Downton Abbey and all those shows.
@@lukem118 - Yes, Downton Abbey! Watched it all the way through at least three times. The upstairs accents were elegant and very easy to understand, but most of the downstairs accents were pretty easy to follow as well.
He looks like a female Ellen Degeneres.

John Bailey You must be American
GamerDares wins I assume so
@@iamzodone I think OP was talking about it being funny because it is so wrong. It's hilarious what the auto captions think he's saying.

Stream is brought to you in 780P, it was recorded in 360 and it looks like it.

0:30 Turn on subtitles "I realize my bendy straws a mark."
Rob is underrated. He's one of the funniest comics around.
Last time I saw teeth like that, it was chained to a stake in Super Mario
He was live at the Apollo. Next time he was here though, he was live at the"A", because this time, he saw pollo, thought "I don't mind some Italian" and decided to have a bite.
Hahaha I was the 69th person to like
..XD
Teeth like British royals. He needs a bit and bridle.
LMAO
Hilarious. What makes it even more hilarious, pop on the closed caption and see how terrible it is at picking up his accent.
The grounded line aged interestingly
Beckett is to comedy, what Red Rum was to Tap Dancing
This made me genuinely laugh loud. Hes actually fucking hilarious on celebs go dating 🤣🤣
"But now, absolute quality!" I have to agree. I hated being grounded as a kid. Now, id give anything to avoid everyone! xD Also, I may buy myself those playing cards.

That CZcams name. lol
middle class is just a status now in the UK
The amount of time Rob has to wait for laughs after the punchline to his jokes is too funny haha
He looks like Biff from Back to the Future
Shame I cannot understand him because of his accent and subtitles should be active for when he is on TV
I wouldn't go to watch Rob Beckett do stand up if he was doing it in my fucking living room!!!! Stop putting him on cats does countdown ffs

+1 if you googled comedian with big teeth
Since first seeing this, last year, I’ve had an ebay alert for ‘gay playing cards’. And nothing; how many did they buy and what part of the world were they...
I came here from a James Acaster set. Rob's funnier. 😜
Murdering prostitutes? Not my little Precious.
Is it wrong to fancy Rob Beckett quite as much as I do? :-)
Matthew Munson no me as well
James Acaster is hotter or even Russell Howard.... and younger Jon Richardson...
Living breathing david firth cartoon XD

I can't understand a damn word he says.
+NinjaOnANinja Bottom left is a volume control, turn it up.

Hahaha. Rob Beckett, working class? You might talk like us Rob but you ain't working class mate.
Need subtitles in English. 🤦🏻
Why do BBC comedians think middle class is 'posh,' most people in the UK identity themselves as 'middle class'
... I think he's exaggerating the class divisions for comedic effect. Many observational comedians need to exaggerate something or other for comedic effect

When garden gnomes get to be human in their next incarnation....
Yeah he's likeable and funny on panel shows, but this was so drab. Ah well. That's my contribution to the comment section.
This man represents everything that is wrong with UK comedy these days
Go on. I don't necessarily disagree I'm just really curious as to your thoughts on this.
agreed. Our comedians are absolute garbage.
Frankie Boyle, Jimmy Carr, Michael McIntyre?
so what your saying is you dont like alot of modern british comedy so it shouldut exist because you dont like unfortunally for you life dont work like that
Remind me when to laugh. Bring back old skool british comedy like Bernard Manning, absolute LEGENDS!
Couldn't remember this guy's name, googled 'crap comedian big teeth', he was the first result.
This guy is fkn stealing a living. He's even worse than Flannigan.
i wonder if he knows hes got massive teeth
whats wrong with him
his teeth are so white
You have massive teeth ;)
Its like watching a human skin bag made of teeth telling jokes
He looks like a fish
Watch Stewart Lee bro give u an idea of what’s really funny
So many gay jokes, makes you wonder why he has good teeth... I suppose you'd need good teeth if your mouth is going to take a battering.
+Divided_Kingdom That doesn't even make sense! haha
