Why do they call it a debate? A debate is when there is a question or proposition put and one argues the yes side and the other argues the No. Then, the adjudicator decides which one has won the debate on the question. Two people talking at each other is not a debate...it's, in this case, a political speech.

A debate should be bringing your vision and points across and to the table while still respecting someone else's point of view. This requires thought, not just blurting.
