Is it just me or did the original do a better job of conveying mystery and fear? Something about this scene makes it comical, but the suspense of the original. Knowing that one by one they'd get picked off and die, but never really seeing it except towards the end , only hearing the screams and seeing the aftermath of the predator's handiwork is 1000 times more terrifying.
Tremors would be a good suggestion in that case. We only know what the characters know and even the full knowledge towards the end only makes it MORE scary since you never know when or where

The problem with this guy is that it makes the whole Predator mentality stupid. It's like they going against dangerous opponents to test themself, and they use their skills with weapons and sometimes hands to hand+ IQ to win. But this big guy just rans around with a bulletproof body like a walking tank and solos everybody. You don't see the Jungle Hunter being right there to be shoot at. He got cought once by bullets and he got injured by it, but he was almost all the time stealthy and patient, showed his skills and took out almost all the opponents with low difficulty, or being even seen. But this guy feels like some stupid big CGI monster who is there for the taking

So he is trying to a hunter altho he had the mission to stop the other predator giving humans the weapon. He was still in hunt mode and stuff. And even if he was not hunting, his existance alone is a disgrace for the Predators. They all like this super skilled hunters with honor, but being an ultra tank with bulletproof skin and everything you are not a skilled hunter who gives chances to the prey to fight back and might win. He is basicly Thanos going against humans with guns which can't penetrate his armor skin.
They did stuff like this with the original Star Wars trilogy calling it the 'Special Edition'. The original effects were way better. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Studios don't know this meaning. Studios only understand the words 'Milking Franchise'.
The Upgraded and the Feral Predator seem to embrace the savagy of a Yautja's Kill Rage. Kill Rage happens when Yautja are in close quarters combat for extended periods of time, like war. They will kill friends and foe until they are all dead or they get put down. Makes since why most hunt from afar until the finishing move.
I never really understood people saying there was too much CGI on this predator until now. I thought I was watching a clip from Predator: Hunting Grounds or GTA for a second until it showed the actors again.
