Alien Isolation - Close calls & random moments

  • So I decided to finally play alien isolation. Definitely an experience I won't forget. This video is a compilation of close calls and random moments. The videos will not feature cutscenes or major plot points (to my best attempt) to be spoiler free as possible. I seriously recommend checking out the movies too. Also for the first half of the video the game volume is kinda loud. I ended up turning it down a bit later on.

    Dude, i spent a lot of time with the Xenomorph to the point i know almost everything about how he operates.
    1 He is not completely blind and can see very well.
    2 If you hide under a table or similar and don't have a sort of "Wall" to keep you hidden from sight the alien WILL see you hiding.
    3 Use as little objects as possible as the A.I. of the alien will learn to not get fooled for long.
    4 Guns ammo is useless against it so don't bother shooting the thing.
    5 ALWAYS MOVE WHEN HE IS IN THE VENTS BUT DON'T *EVER* RUN OR WALK. He has hyper sensitive hearing even on normal difficulty.
    6 A good strategy is to use a Flashbang to create a bunch of noise in an area full of human enemies so that the alien kills them.
    7 You can't act recklessly; take it slow and steady.

      I 100% approve of this message. Safety tips to survive by. I'm not an expert, but watching this guy hide under an exposed desk just killed me inside ! For a moment I thought he didn't know how eyes worked. Anyway, you play, you die, you die again, you hide, die some more & then after multiple reincarnations, you float away.

      I agree one million percent. It's a very polished horror game, and I think it meshes everything well. It's pretty hard for new players to get into, I'd say. But great stuff all around.

    2:45 I kinda understand this- especially with the suspicion of Samuels(I'm still playing the game), but the device is a motion detector. They'd have to move for it to show up. It does, but very minimal since they're in one place and and she's obviously hurt

      This game is so amazing and I'm so mad at myself for not playing it a loooong ass time ago. I'm a big horror game fan but I didn't really pay much attention to it when it came out, partly because of IGN's poor review of it (lesson learned, don't listen to IGN), and partly because a lot of games based on movies kinda suck.
      Anyway, I only played it this year when it became free on EGS. I seriously cannot give this game enough praise, Easily in my top 5 of favorite horror games.

      @captainrick4513 Před 2 lety +3

      @@Tyberius1 Honestly, the lesson to learn, is to not let any negative review stop you from trying a game in general.
      In the end, its subjective. What one person likes, another won't.
      A lot of people say Arkham Origins is terrible and that city is much better.
      But Origins is just City with a bit more added, with the only difference being the story and appearance.
      People say Arkham Knight is the worst, but visually and gameplay wise, I think its amazing.
      It's the same thing with Minecraft, Terraria, and any other game.

    • @Tyberius1
      @Tyberius1 Před 2 lety +2

      @@captainrick4513 You're absolutely right. Honestly I loved all of the Arkham games, but especially Arkham Knight. It's such a beautiful game. I hear a lot of people complaining about the car controls but it's one of my favorite things to do in the game and I think it controls just fine.
      But yeah, I guess it's different for the individual. I suppose it's also difficult for IGN considering they have so many different reviewers and what one person may like, someone else might not.

    Day 1 edition (meaning no updates in this case) which I played on the Xbox 360, had no alien spawning in the Engineering Decks so this was basically a safe haven for me to test aiming and act like a home base if I wanted to explore the station before passing the point of no return near the end of the game.
