Due to recent growth in sensor deployments, the PW team has taken steps to better optimize their infrastructure/network. As a result, the collected data for Type 4 sensor being posted to the blockchain is now every 10 minutes in lieu of every 2 minutes. It was also noted that the sensor is still streaming data every 2 minutes to the phone via BT, but the broadcasting portion to the blockchain is what has been prolonged. Rewards distribution remains unchanged (i.e. 23.04 $PLANETS Max).

Due to recent popularity in this device, the lead-time, including Amazon and PlanetWatch.US is no longer what was indicated in the video. As of today, 07/06/21, Amazon has an ETA shipping date roughly in September (~ 2 months). Be aware of scalpers and scammers on different outlets such as Ebay!
Hint: You may want to check your local Home Depot, Lowes, or Walmart if you are looking to venture into this project ;)

cracking video,I was a bit lost without this, thanks for the help 👍😁
Thanks awesome video. I had to restart my phone because the Bluetooth was not connecting and the Planetwatch app would not detect sensor. After restarting my phone it worked. Thanks again
Hi,
Thank you very much for tutorial video)
Cheers
Keep it going bro... All the best 👍
Very cool. Will this device/service work in Mexico?
which app is it that you need to leave open on android? The planet watch app or the atmotube pro or both? Also are earnings reduced if there's another sensor nearby?
Great video. I have a question for u. When u hit stop for the AtomTube to stop running in the background while u downloaded PlanetWatch. Do u reconnect AtomTube once the PlanetWatch is running? Thanks again for the video.
Hey, what's going on? Once I close and stop the Atmotube app, I do not reopen it again. If you do, it may be competing the Bluetooth connection with the PW app and may cause it to reconnect sporadically. But I recommend double-checking that you've updated the firmware and that the mode is Always On before closing and stopping the Atmotube Pro app. Hope this helps :)
@@youngmaverick542 Thanks for the reply. I believe this is what’s going on with mines. They are trying to compete with one another. The firmware updated and mode is Always on. I will continue to monitor it. Again, I appreciate the info.
Just ordered an Atmotube, hoping i'm not too late to the party...again ahaha
Congrats on becoming a Planetwatcher! Saturation for type 4 is roughly around 10k sensors. As of today, I believe there are only ~1400 online. But, unlike GPU/ASIC/CPU mining, it doesn't take a whole lot of electricity to have this up and running. Instead of mining, you're rewarded for your environmental data :)
A very warm welcome to the PlanetWatch Community - looking forward to grow with you and others!
How is the party going. I think I'm late.
you make it look so easy, but the hardest part is paying the license, because it has to be done with planets tokens
In uk it is £300+
do i need to have my phone next to the atmotube pro all day to upload data and collect rewards? just thinking about the scenario where the atmocube is left at home and i've gone out.
Yes, unfortunately. And also have internet connection to pass the data onto the blockchain.
Hey, I was wondering how long did it take before you received your first planets token?
Welcome, you're officially an Planetwatcher! Distribution is at 8 AM EST. But note that your first reward might not be so great, it really depends on when you initially asserted the sensor and streaming data into the blockchain. Check out my 2nd video, it talks a bit more in details on rewards monitoring :)
@@youngmaverick542 Thanks! And I will go check that out. Appreciate the vid!
I’ve just bought one of these devices in Uk
Good to have you onboard! A warm welcome to you as a Planetwatcher!
Hello, when you minimize the planets application, can answer calls. ? Thanks
Hey I habe a question which you maybe can answer. You said we can’t input 0 as first number of the Pin, but I did and it went through but now I can’t access it anymore. You know how I can reset the pin?
I did exactly the same on my first set-up. You'd need to go to their website and open an support ticket to request the pin reset. The good news is that you're not really missing out on rewards, as long as your PlanetWatch Wearable App remains on that "sensor" screen.
It is really helpful video for noob 👍
planetwatch stops mining when display is off (just screen that's off, not whole phone). What to do? I have an s8+
Does anyone know the best way to have the Atmotube Pro run 24/7 e.g smart plug to turn on at set times to reduce charge cycles and to prolong life etc?
czcams.com/video/p71Xu-pmCGQ/video.html. Try this video. It might be helpful.
Around the 6:50 mark
My atmo is earning rewards per the planet app, but these rewards don't hit my algo wallet that I've connected to my elements. What am I doing wrong? The elements rewards, I believe, just automatically went to my algo wallet?
If i move the device to another country, do i need to verify the GSP again or it detect automatically?
Hi thanks for watching! Oh boy, so much things have changed since this video. Atmotube Pro now uses the PlanetWatch Wearable App (purple icon) instead of the PlanetWatch App. There's KYC now required, where I use the explorer to indicate where each of my sensors are located. I'd say, you'd need to first make sure your destination country is supported by PlanetWatch. Then update the sensor address on your PW explorer account. In the past, I'd say it'd be automatic since the sensor address wasn't closely monitored as much as now. Hope this helps :)
Hi, how often Atmotube Pro should be sending transmissions?
Hi, the sensor streams data every 2 minutes behind the scene via Bluetooth, and it gets broadcast to the blockchain via internet roughly every 10 minutes. So if you are looking at the Algorand explorer, look at the intervals to make sure it's every 10 minutes or so. It used to be every 2 minutes to the blockchain but they changed it up make it more stable and to reduce transaction fees. Hope this helps.
@@youngmaverick542 it makes sense, thank you!
how did u get algorand balance when u just signed up ?
I used the "recover" option instead of creating a new wallet. So have your seed phrases ready :) if successful, you should start with 1 algo.
Hey,
I get my rewards into a wallet I don’t even own. I don’t remember connecting that wallet to my Atmotube. I don’t even remember connecting any wallet to my PW.
Do you know how I can connect my real wallet to the atmotube ?
That doesn't sound too good, you're streaming your Atmotube Pro while they're reaping up the rewards? I'd try submitting an support ticket to re-link the hardware to the license (i.e email). It doesn't sound too hard from a technical point of view, but they are handling a ton of other trouble tickets so it may take some time. Patience is a virtue. Before doing so, try the reset menu button on the PW Wearable app and see if you can pair the sensor to your email address you used to purchase the license. Best of luck!
How do you redeem your planet tokens
Okay. So I set up my atmotube pro today through my iPad. I used a 6 digit code that started with a zero, I didn't know you wasn't supposed to do that. It won't recognize my code on the iPad, and now, it won't do anything besides try to get me to register a new wallet on my Android phone. To which, if I try to, I get an error message (probably because one was already created on the iPad...). So on my iPad, i can't get pass the 6 digit code screen, and on my phone, it continues to force me to setup a new wallet, then hits me with an error message... what can I do? This is so irritating...
Darn, sounds like a perfect storm of frustration. For the pin, you'll have to open a ticket or email the PW folks but they may have a heavy backlog. In the interim, click the Sensor icon on the PW App via your iPad which usually doesnt ask for your pin after you have already registered. 2) Download the Algorand wallet to exercise the Recover Wallet option, 3) after step 2, you should be able to view your wallet address. Copy and paste that wallet address into the algorand explorer, and make sure you see transactions every 10 minutes or so. The idea is to make sure it's doing its thing in the background while you wait for PW support for the pin reset. Best of luck!
When i buy the license it just goes off email, no pin or nothing?
That's right, the email itself doesn't contain your pin info in the subject nor body. But you'll need to use that same email to log in to create your pin on the PlanetWatch App.
CAUTION: Don't start with an 0 as your first digit :)
My atmotube its not mining anything. It keeps adding 0.00. How do i fix this? I only only mined 0.5 planets in 3 days. How do i mine for the max of 23?
Hey, can you hop on the PlanetWatch main chat discord? Note that I won't DM you first, just in case of a bad actor.
is it available in India ?
I have made a mistake and put a 0 for the first digit of the pin...I am trying to change it, but cannot find how to do so?! Anyone else faced/facing this issue? How can someone change the pin code?
Hey! Sorry it happened to you, I know it's frustrating, though I'm not sure why they haven't fixed this issue. You'd need to contact their support team, which you can find on their website in the "Contact Us", or find Sara through their main Telegram (be aware of scammers. Don't click on any links claiming you haven't activate x,y,z). Good luck!
Hello, If I've bought 5 Atmotube Pro, can I buy 5 licenses with 1 email? Or should it be 5 different mails? Thank you.
Hi! Typically, I'd separate it by having 5 unique emails, however, there is a way to just use 1 email. You'd just have to contact their support team by opening a ticket. The caveat is the uncertainty when they'll reply to your request depending on their backlog. From what I've gathered, they are pretty responsive thus far. Hope this helps. Congrats on your Atmotube purchase, sounds like you're 1 step on becoming a Planetwatcher :)
@@youngmaverick542 Thank you for your respone. I've contacted support, and they said that it is perfectly fine to use more than one license on one email. They have answered in 1 hr.
@@youngmaverick542 One more question. I have connected two of my Atmotubes and one is on Iphone. I'm keeping it at work and screen is always on. I can see that I'm getting TX every 10 mins, but after 26 hrs I did not get any PLANETS. Maybe you know what could be the problem? On Atmotube which is connected to android and is at home, everything seems fine.
@Top Cat yes, you have to get 5 licenses and 5 phones in different locations. Rewards are between 100 and 115 Planets.
Sorry, did not saw that you asked how many in a week. I got from 700 to 800 PLANETS in a week
I already have an algorand wallet do i need to create another one to link with atmotube?
Hello!
Unfortunately, I haven't personally experience this yet dilemma yet so I would highly recommend you jump on the PlanetWatch Telegram to ask the support team directly - be extra careful with scammers who may be pretending to be admins.
But my quick intuition says 'yes' and that you'll have to use the "restore/recover" option within the Algorand Wallet, as the wallet address initialized from the PlanetWatch sensor is different from that of your existing algorand Wallet address. Again, I'd encourage you to confirm with the support team on TG. If you find the answer, can you please hop back on here to comment with the findings so others can benefit from your question and solution? Much appreciated, and really excited to have another Planetwatcher onboard!
@@youngmaverick542 just my luck its sold out
@@keiranprasad4741 Read my video description. Hopefully, you have those near your area :)
@@youngmaverick542 I'm in Australia so no luck
Do we get paid with algo or PlanetWatch tokens??
You start off with 1 algo and 0 PLANETS. The payout will be in PLANETS, which is automatically deposited into your Algorand Wallet daily at 5am pst. You can also view your planets balance on the PW App. But if you want to withdraw, you'll do so from your algorand wallet - as of today, but this may change once they update the PW in the future. If you need more info please check out my second video or read thru the guides on Reddit. Hope this helps :)
@@youngmaverick542 thanks im in usa so ill be able to withdraw with algo wallet ?? to usd??
@@suidzz for now, it'll just sit in your Algorand Wallet because the only exchange that offers buy and selling of this token is Bitfinex, which US traders are restricted from. More exchange listing is on their teams top priorities, so in the future, hopefully they'll be an exchange for US residents. Hope this helps :)
It's now not available to buy.
Will they push more in the Market soon?
During the last AMA it was noted that they will replenish 200 more sensors soon on their site. If you are interested, I'd recommend tuning in their Twitter or other social media. The next AMA will be this upcoming Wednesday. Come join us, there may (or may not) be some interesting news :)
@@youngmaverick542 sure
How to change my PIN on planetwatch app that start with a 0. Can you help me please?
Unfortunately, myself nor anyone other than the PlanetWatch team has that authority. You'd need to get in touch with planetwatch either via their website ("contact us"), or hop on their Telegram and ask an admin (watch out for scammers!). No worries though, it's not the end of the world, I made the same mistake :) you're still earning rewards in the meanwhile. Check out the 2nd video on how to monitor your rewards so you're getting the best out of it. Good luck, and good to have you on board Planetwatcher!
@@youngmaverick542 Thank you for the reply. I contacted them and they change the first #!!!
Do you know if it works in Canada?
According to their telegram, type 4 sensors are available in Canada. I encourage you to double check, just in case. On the TG chat, type "Canada" on the search menu and it should get you few results :)
@@youngmaverick542 Thanks for the info, I will check it out on telegram.
So question are you telling me that we have to pay all those fees in algo? So we need a ton of algo coins?
No, PlanetWatch got those fees covered :) As a consumer, we'd just need to provide good sensor data. On the extreme, someone can even choose to adapt their lifestyle based on those sensor data (I.e. poor air quality on day X, choose to jog on day Y instead. But in most cases, many of the sensor owners are reaping the $PLANETS tokens with their steamed data, with hopes that the processed information will serve some useful functions to a government or business entity thus raising environmental impact awareness for the greater good. This is one of my belief that PW has the capacity to do. :)
That day may not be tomorrow, next month, or even next year, but their goal/initiative and ambition is all there, coupled with the right people, it's going get there sooner than any team can :)
One more question bro how do I get a tier 1 sensor i dont mid dishing out $1600 for it.
@@youngmaverick542 makes sense thanks for you quick response n input
@@lucianheat For me, I bought the type 1 license 2 months ago to reserve a spot to buy the actual sensor once it's available in my region (US). Last week, I just got an email saying it's going be available in mid October. If you're going pull the trigger, I'd recommend to first check the PW Map (Google it) to make sure at least in a Tier 1 zone (toggle the Tier 1 located on the bottom right side of the map) otherwise your ROI may take a lot longer.
Do you have any coupen to apply?
Hey! Sorry, unfortunately I don't. If you buy it from the PlanetWatch site, you get an 20% discount when purchasing the type 4 sensors. At the moment, however, it's out of stock.
what is that algo fee? Is it fee for depositing into my wallet?
Zoheab! This algorand fee of .001 per transaction, is how much it cost per transaction on the Algorand blockchain. In this video, I wanted to point out that, we,as consumers, don't have to worry about this because PW has absorbed this cost upfront out of their pockets. This was something I found intriguing imo. If you open your algorand wallet,l you'll realize that each transaction isn't really free ( zero cost), but rather it's .001 Algo per transaction. This gives me hope that PW is putting some upfront cost on their behalf because they really believe this concept of decentralized Air Quality sensor deployment is viable/sustainable :)
So just to confirm , I won't need that 262.8 (fees for 1 year)Algo in my wallet for transactions fees right?
@@zoheababbasi7409 That's correct, we've got it covered :)
Is this possible to get 5 device in one e-mail id
Yes, you'd have to email their support team 👍
Today i bought it for $500
this project n app isn't done right at all. the app isn't good at all.. don't waste your money
