I thought you were supposed to calculate the dbi losses (due to cable and connectors) as mentioned in your antenna video when inputting it into helium ap?

@@youngmaverick542 do you know how to get an ubiquiti gateway setup for inbound port forwarding. I've set it up like the site says but it's still stuck in relay mode

@@williamjonson6845 Unfortunately, I don't have that gateway. From the site, it looks like it's just like most router where you first configure the Port Forward, then the Firewall. Be sure to reserve a local static IP first for your miner before those 2 items above. On some of my locations, I noticed that despite after the configuration the Helium Explorer & App are a bit behind on the 'display' with the relay indication because I did saw that the Port Checker says it was opened. Fortunately, I trusted the information from the Port Checker and waited up to 3 days on one of my install, where the relay status finally cleared. This may or may not apply to you, but I'd recommend running the port 44158 on a Port Checker (portchecker dot co or yougetsignal) to see if it's opened first. If it is, wait it out a bit before playing with more settings. If it is not, then it may be the mis-configuration on your end. Best of luck!

Did your hotspot also stop witnessing after the antenna upgrade and then took a long time to witness again? My hotspot Only sends out beacons without any witnesses. Its taking a long time 😂

Have you had any problems connecting the lightning arrestor directly into the antenna? I’ve done a fair bit of research and it’s leading me to believe that you shouldn’t do it that way.

Hey, what's going on? No, I've had not run into issues connecting it directly on the antenna on few of my installs. But you're absolutely right, THE textbook way is having it immediately before it enters your miner (i.e outside your window and creating an low resistance path to ground on the exterior in lieu of letting it enter your home). I did it slightly different because it worked for my circumstance.

@@youngmaverick542 Oh okay I see. Since you do get decent rewards I think I'll plug the lightning arrestor straight into the antenna and see how that works out for me.
I had another question about the Transmit Scale. How are you getting the maximum 1.00 transmit. Is it because you are the only one in your "hex"?

@@tookey2249 I can tell the absolute first thing you need to do is get the hotspot off the wifi. Hardwire the ethernet direct to your modem or router. I did this recently and the transmit scale is at 1.0 and the rewards are off the charts. Higher than anyone else around me. Standard antennae too. I am also the only one in my hex.

Kind of insane you have a 1.0 reward with that many people near by. I have reduced rewards with much less people near by.
