  • Over the course of nearly two years, cameras chronicled the former television host and radio star Wendy Williams’ on the next phase of her life, following the end of her iconic talk show. The documentary provides a raw, honest and unfiltered reality of Wendy’s life after she was placed under financial guardianship, shedding light on the vulnerabilities that has turned Wendy into the Hot Topic herself. Suffering mental and physical issues, Wendy’s delicate state of mind, erratic behavior and declining health were all captured by the cameras. Where is Wendy Williams? is the story of Wendy’s journey to resurrect her career, and what filmmakers discovered along the way. But many questions remain - who truly has Wendy’s best interest at heart? Is she healthy now? And Where is Wendy Williams?

    It was extremely hard to watch, but the last episode, specifically the last 30 minutes, made it all make sense. The family and Wendy wanted this footage released to show the public and the court how her care was/is being mishandled under her current guardianship. Think about how Britney wanted everyone to know what was going on with her. If you pay close attention, the documentary was telling us things without telling us. I.e. they couldn’t figure out how Wendy kept getting access to liquor, but then they’d show her out with Shawn and she’d be letting Wendy drink. Each time they showed Wendy in New York she was crying, drunk, not eating, incoherent, and aggressive. When she was with her family she was healthier, happy, eating, and not drinking. The courts felt like Wanda wasn’t fit to be Wendy’s guardian, but then they’d show her checking in on their dad, bringing him groceries, asking him about why he wasn’t using his cane/walker…It was all very strategic because her guardianship is up for review this year

      @@mizsab365 You’re welcome! Her sister was never her guardian. Once the courts determined that Wendy needed a guardian, her sister volunteered to do it because they had already been caring for her while she was in Miami and her condition was improving. The courts agreed, but said that she would have to take classes first and she agreed to do it. However, the courts suddenly said felt as though Wendy was not safe in their care for unknown reasons and appointed an outside party to be the guardian. I’m not sure who that person is because they declined to be apart of the documentary, which is telling

She could’ve bought him a fly 2 bed on the beach for around $1.5M cash, a car, put the rest in a trust until he’s 30, and gave him an allowance. I don’t understand why she didn’t handle some of this when he first left home and she was still somewhat lucid.

    Funky, I really feel like you should watch the documentary before commenting on it. The film was excellent. It exposed the travesty of Wendy Williams' guardianship and her need to be closer to and under the protection of her family. The public needed to see this to understand the situation that we keep hearing about and to understand that her guardianship is absolutely not in her best interest and it needs to change. After watching all four parts, I believe the filmmakers saved her life. This film absolutely needed to be made and it needed to be seen. Bravo to Lifetime! The publicist is buying the alcohol. Meanwhile, THEY ARENT BUYING LADY FOOD! Production said that there’s no food in the lady’s fridge. When she’s with her family, she’s sober and on a vegan diet and active. Under the guardianship, she’s in bed drinking all day. Second, SHE HAS ALCOHOL INDUCED DEMENTIA. She can’t have ANY alcohol. Not only is the publicist buying her liquor, they’re denying that anything is wrong with Wendy. Mind you, the publicist isn’t her longtime publicist. She was hired a year ago by the guardian attorney to handle the spin on the Wells Fargo issue. Why is the guardian, who’s in charge of Wendy’s money using it to pay a publicist that she hired AND STILL PAYING HER??? Wendy has zero need for a publicist yet the court appointed guardian is paying one from Wendy’s money who is feeding her alcohol. THATS WHY THE FAMILY WANTS TO EXPOSE THE GUARDIAN! The publicist told Wendy that she has no more money with Wells Fargo. How is Wendy broke with a guardian over her estate, paying a publicist that she doesn’t need. I watched the documentary and it saddened me to see her declining both physically and mentally, and I agree with you as far as her family being her guardian and also have a guardian over her money. Also her publicist and manager were pissing me off when they kept talking to her about another television show, anyone with half a brain could tell that Wendy is in no condition to be on television. Also my mother's sister recently passed away from dementia and she was talking to her family liked Wendy talked to that nail tech, and when my aunt was in her right mind she was one of the sweetest people this side of heaven so no that's not accurate about a person with dementia reverting back to how they truly were.

    • @derrickwalk2219
      @derrickwalk2219 Před 4 měsíci

      Wendy could possibly be buying a lot of it herself. Although she says she has "no money", she does. That 15K that was just lying out in her room is possibly the allowance that she gets from her "guardian" and, according to Will, she does have a separate bank account. We've seen how high her UberEats bill can get, and if she's ordering liquor (cuz she's definitely not ordering food), having it delivered and then hiding it as was stated in the documentary...

    For a better understanding of the documentary Armon Wiggins did an AWESOME insightful video. There is a plan and purpose for this documentary that's on a HIGHER VIBRATION that the average won't catch. I Am So Glad that this aired... ARMON WIGGINS breaks it down!!! Also, from when I met her working as a fashion stylist at HSN. She had a clothing line there. It was a great time with Wendy and her team.
