Ethan’s story is a hugely motivational to me. I’m also on a big weight loss journey and am down 144 pounds from 420 pounds, eating better and lifting weights and transforming myself. I’ve been in a slump looking back on how far I’ve come, and looking ahead at how much I still have to go. Thank you Mark for bringing him on the channel to share his journey, he’s amazing!
That's crazy good progress, keep it up!
Hotsoups42 I don’t know you, but I am super proud of you! You’re doing something not many have the wherewithal to do. Good on you! Keep going! 💪🏼 😉
glad to hear that man, same here i kept going over 86kgs all the way to 96kg then i would go back to 80 over and over untill i found out why.. carbs and their insane cravings for food, now i am fat obviously same as carbs calories=calories out but the extreme food cravings are SO SOO MUCH more easy to controll my willpower can easy make me not eat for 3 days water fast now, i didnt even know how hard carbs were on hunger untill i went high fat/keto, + i dont care much about how insulin blocks you from losing fat becouse i lost up to 16kgs with my chips+cola allmost daily, so i allready know carbs dont really block that, but i do honestly think it helps more then enough when i am high fat it does feel slightly harder putting on fat, and slightly just slightly more easy to lose it with very low effort i mean.
Amazing efforts well done 👍
Keep it up. You’re an inspiration now too.
If it wasn't for the voice, you'd never convince me that's the same person. Great job
yeah man, he looks nothing like his old self
Same
friday night lights would be a differnt movie is ethan was this much of a savage... lolol
Spot on
Big facts!
His weight loss journey has been more successful than Earl’s list.
Rasheed Lewis 😂 haha Was a great show!
Because Earl in the end didn't want to get hit by karma. He didn't change his character at all IMO.
He's very likable I'm real life.
Not gonna lie, this is possibly the most dramatic transformation makeover I’ve ever seen. I’m struggling to even compute this is the same guy I watched growing up. Absolutely crazy and very inspiring
good transformation but he had peds for sure not hating on the guy though but yeah great change
@@billybob-rc5pc If you're not hating on the guy then why mention it at all? I hate comments like that, "not hating BUT". You're just trying to diminish his accomplishment, not sure if it's out of jealousy or if you're just being an asshole that can't let other people have a win.
I would love to see "My name is Earl" return for a season or a special with jacked Randy
a jacked Randy who forgot how to walk....Crazy head!
Must rewatch Earl!
That shit would work!
in the UK that show was shit on a lot by some, but damn i fucking loved it, especially finding out earl's real son in life is called "pilot inspektor"
Considering Jason Lee is no longer a scientologist a lot of the og actors that are still in the cult won't work with him. So a reunion or a new season is highly unlikely at this point.
Huge respect for people who commit to transformations like this 💯
Ask Dr. Swole and without surgery!!!
Damian Duenas yepp
Ron Beelen true ahah natty all the way 💯
@CALICOTV301 mental illness is almost always the issue, wanting to lose weight and getting over the hurdle is the hardest thing to do once you get overweight. its incredible what the brain can do to you
Southern Fun Or maybe it’s because they shorten lives? Roid rage? Tiny balls? ⚽️ 🏀 🏈
Holy cow!!! You are my new inspiration. I am currently 425 lbs and started walking and doing workouts last month. When I started I was 440. I'll watch this video when I feel like giving up. Thank you sir!!!
Don't give up...I'm with you, first step is always the hardest!!!! go fever nothing pace
He seems like a really humble nice guy.
might sound weird, but i know a couple of former fat dudes that are the exact same way
@@johnnycakez2750 it's called ugly duckly syndrome, those of us that were formerly fat especially as teens are humble,. No ego.
He looks freakin fantastic!
"I have a mixture of looking in the mirror and feeling total pride and feeling completely overwhelmed with how much more I have to do." TRUTH
Ethans arms are seriously f’en jacked! He looks like a complete different person.
His biceps are bigger than my head, and my head is enormous
@Shmurda Lurda nothing gay about that lol
The thing about really obese guys is that they are usually pretty jacked under all the fat. They get strong from 1)carrying so much weight around constantly 2)Always being in an anabolic state where new tissue is being created.
good transformation but he had peds for sure not hating on the guy though but yeah great change
We are always seeing stars at the highest burn out and fall. This guy is flipping that script.
Joe Rogan time man, get on that podcast! You fit the bill and I’m sure loads of people would love to know your journey and career
Have you ever had a chicken patty with DMT?
perfect timing to bc ed norton was on not too long ago
i concur
@@jesusisGod1434 You need therapy and and probably lots of medication.
its a no brainer, c'mon Joe
Ethan seems like a cool dude. Love how honest and open he is.
Gator Slim
Natty or not?
@@lewisharold go ask him for a pee test if you care enough
Gator Slim
If it’s legal then why not be honest and open
Lewis Michael Harold dude come on, he was so big it was unhealthy...you’re speculating about him using something illegal to help him lose the weight. So what? He was on the brink of death he was so fat, you’re gonna knock someone who wanted to live a better life even if they used something illegal to do so? He aint hurting anyone, you should slap yourself for being such a dickhead. Go become a cop, so you can pull that type of “better than thou” attitude with real life people...dont come online and try to shame and criticize someone who isn’t affecting you at all.
ADUB907
I don't remember knocking anyone.
Imagine Ethan in a sequel to American History X with him in this shape.
I’d be intimidated by Seth if he was muscular
and reformed in mind and spirit about racist issues as well? no? awww... sad.
imagine sculpting your body after being fat for so long to still be a victim of racial issues and stereotypes. you could be a buff Buddha if you chose to be.
@@plewtz80 That's gay and it's also a fictional character his playing
@@levi-i7430 yer gay, and also his character is starting to bleed into his real life. like alot...

I'm soooooo happy for him! Ethan is one of my favorite actors. Very funny, soft spoken, thoughtful and smart. He looks fantastic and damn he did the work, great on him!
I agree 👍 💯%.Great work man. Super proud of you
This was a serious eye-opener. Huge props to Ethan - he's looks like a beast! That transformation took dedication, motivation and some serious willpower. If he can do this, dude can do anything. Keep it up - I look forward to seeing the rest of the journey!
@Deimonk WORD. cause ANYONE who loses fat and works out MUST be using roids. Shit, I must be doing it too. Maybe when i'm sleepwalking.
Not the 6days wk workout plus my always moving job. Not my concious effort to NOT eat junk foods. Only eating homecooked meals and being conscious about the amount of oils and salts I use. Or what's a healthy alternative.
Nope..must be my sleepwalking ot find who sells roids, buy it without ever impacting my wallet or bank account, using it, laying down THEN waking up to workout...GOTTA be the roids
Deimonk spoken like a lazy pessimist unwilling to put in the work needed toward self-betterment and health. Not everyone is as reluctant to sweat themselves toward improvement as you are, friend.
@@agonleed3841 OK but Ethan's progress is so impressive that you'd still give him credit if he did roid his way so lean, right? Few people make a name as a blubber-bound actor and then cut like this guy.
@@owenhunt Im willing to believe he did it drug free (ie totally drug free or some form of doctor supervised TRT) and who cares if he didnt. Its 100% obvious that even if he did anything at all he did not do anything heavy or for every long. He doesnt have any flush, acne, extreme vascularity, extreme pumps or other signs of roid use.. plus he has a lot of loose skin which is not consistent with being a roid user.. I say all men over 45 should be given the option of medically supervised TRT and the benefits generally outweigh the risks.. So I say go for it Ethan you only live once!!
I'm SHOCKED that's him!! I would have never recognized him on the street and he was truly iconic in many of his movies!
He's less funnier now
@@ristestankovski Well, he was never the most funniest.
@@ZeroEntropy. when he was fat he was funny, now I can't imagine him in a comedy movie.
@@ristestankovski Totally agree with you there!
I remember when I lost about 100lbs in high school the most exhilarating thing about it was seeing my rib cage I was walking by a mirror minding my own business and suddenly I look over and see the line where my ribs end and my abs begin. I literally cried as I was checking myself out, I was so focused on training and dieting I never appreciated the transformation that happened.
Interesting, I myself find it almost difficult to judge what I look like physically, I can't really tell how fat or skinny I look anymore. Been thinking about asking a friend to tell me what I look like. I'm glad it worked out for you :)
Boy Meets world, Remeber the Titans, This guy is a legend respects
Loved him as Randy in My Name Is Earl. Glad to see he's doing well.
So happy for this guy. I was always scared for him losing his life. Proud of him for getting in shape. He looks great. What a huge inspiration to others.
Probably the saddest thing ever was when they cancelled the new show "Chance" it was like an amazing new "House" style show, but with Ethan Suplee as the most epic vigilante crime fighter in the most epic way possible. I legitimately cried when I found out there wouldn't be another season. Now that our boy is fit as hell, they should bring it back and have it be like, he was staying thick because he was undercover or something. PLEASE!!! He is such a legend!!!
Capn Smashem yes, very, very good show.
Only one word: AWESOME!
The only things left from his past is his soft voice and his gentle heart. Everything else transformed!
Very inspiring!💪
I grew up as "the big guy" and although it may sound cool, its not the case when your obese. Since September I've dedicated myself to lose the fat and grow the muscle. So far 40lbs down, and with muscle building now I will be happy to be "the big guy". Thanks for sharing the story Ethan and Mark, awesome videos and cant wait to hear the podcast.
Silky congrats on the 40 lbs down ,BE STRONG and keep up the good work man💪💪💪💪💪
Silky_ good job keep it up!!
I hear ya, I'm in the same boat, only down 18 pounds but only on week 3
I grew up the fat kid deeply in fat denial. Lost a lot of weight from injury and drug abuse. Now I’m just trying to be healthy because I’ve never been healthy. That fat kid mentality is tough to get over. I’m happy when I see comments like yours. You can do it
Crazy thing about all us fat dudes is that in theory we are that way because we're also genetically made to be the strongest men.
There should be no "Crazy Fat" men in America, only Crazy Strong men.
So here I've convinced myself that I'm too old to get in good shape, but Ethan is only one year younger than me. That's the kick in the pants that I needed.
Nobody is too old to get in shape. I've seen stories about people getting in shape at 60+. If you look for an excuse, you'll always find one though.
How's it going so far? Taking steps?
@@oaschbeidl spot on. i'm 52, and i'm a lean muscle cardio machine. considering getting in shape is an investment in your physical and mental health, as well as increasing your life, everybody should be making this move.
He's also financially stable without having the time/energysink of traditional job, and can put all his time and effort to put Into this still amazing feat of human willpower.
It's never too late my dad is about to be 80 soon and he still works out dont let age be an excuse for not doing something
I’m so happy for Ethan, he’s a talented actor and seems like a nice guy. So glad he’s achieved this awesome body re-composition. Inspiring!
Powerful and honest video. You can see the depth of change (including psychological) that Ethan has been through.
If I didn’t hear his voice, I’d NEVER think it was him. Amazing work!!! Big Fan of his work too.
He's lost that fat guy accent though lol
He seems like such a nice humble guy, and it’s awesome he can be so honest about his weight issues and how he overcame them. Really glad he’s happy and it’s working for him
This interview is exactly what I needed in life. Every question and answer are perfect. Great information and advice. And I'm such a fan of Ethan Suplee! He is freakin' JACKED! and hasn't even started the mass building phase?! This is so motivational and awesome. Incredible transformation for such a great guy! Thank you for sharing this
Very inspiring and informative thank you for all your efforts!
What a cool, humble character...bravo mate... that’s an inspirational transformation... dedicated and focussed.
I've always liked this guy as an actor. But seeing him looking after himself is really inspiring. Well done Ethan. Keep up the good work. One day you can own the smokey from smokey and the bandit
Love seeing him in films and shows, he's surprisingly talented, and I'm very happy he's doing so well.
I love seeing stories like this! Same with Action Bronson's recent transformation. So inspiring!
Ethan has inspired me as of late. When I was 405 12-25-18 in hospital with liver, heart, blood pressure and diabetes complications I tried many diets and now I’m floating in the 275 area. It’s nice seeing people with similar difficulties being obese all their life changing for better. Your never alone if you open your eyes and look

As much as I have seen this man in TV and film growing up, I would never had recognized him. This is amazing, truly inspiring.
Very proud of you brotha!! Your transformation is simply amazing. Been a fan for years...gotta say at points I was really worried there’d be a really bad announcement about you. Glad to see you moving in such a positive direction. Keep up the great work!!
I remember this guy on boy meets world. He was great, I'm so proud of him.
Congrats to Ethan! For him to achieve what he has is really amazing. I've been 50 lbs over my ideal weight a few times in my life, and I can tell everyone that once you lose that weight it's like your walking on air. Your joints feel way better. You feel more comfortable. Ethan is one of my favorite actors, and it's really cool to see his transformation.

I can see him playing Macho Man Randy Savage if they ever did a movie on him
This is the real body positivity, be healthy lose fat
" I have a mixture of looking in the mirror and seeing a lot of pride and looking in the mirror and feeling overwhelmed on how much more I have to do". This touches home on so many levels.
When i was 311lbs I wouldn't even look in the mirror. 4 months and 66lbs later I'm definitely happy with the improvements, but very anxious about what's left to do.
You're a good man, Mark. I really like what you're doing with your channel and how you are reaching out to help others.
Ethan looks like a wilderness beast of a man. Always enjoyed his roles in movies, cant wait to see what he'll do next
Clearly this man has an addictive attitude. This is what happens when you can CONTROL your addiction. Just incredible!
If he could CONTROL it he'd be skinny, not a buff meathead
@@MidwestDankAlumni Preach. People who think that *this* is controlling his addiction are deluded. He's addicted to bodybuilding and working out. When a new obsession comes along it'll go out the window.
@ROE JOGAN DMT APOCALYPSE idk about struggling to support that mass, he was really fat
@@scottinbristol you can think of it as redirecting addictions to something positive. I have a similar problem. I don't do moderation, I'm either all in or not at all. Sometimes I can see an addiction coming and don't start if it is negative.

How people can give a thumbs down this video is beyond me. Phenomenal transformation and incredibly inspiring. Keep up the great work dude!
I'm so happy for Ethan and inspired by him. Thanks for showing this.
that is so damn awsome, dude is a different person and im glad he took charge of his life and changed it.

Hardwork, Dedication & Consistency! 💪
I always liked his ability to convey a level of openness and compassion, even when he played a bad guy. Made his characters much more complex than some other actors would have done.
Amazing insight! Great video
Great episode, Mark. Good job, Ethan.
So happy to see Ethan change his life like this!
"it's like anything I would do, emotionally or without planning, would derail me"
That's a quote that really resonates with me. As simply as it is, it's something to be mindful of as it's easy to let emotion dictate your actions - in whatever avenue of life you are traveling. While spontaneity is good, not planning ahead can lead to a misappropriation of energy and resources. Also, not having a goal can lead to all types of feelings of not doing enough or not feeling accomplished because your "goal" is always moving around - dictated by emotion, again.
I'm really happy for Ethan, as I have enjoyed his roles since I was kid, and it's inspiring to see someone accomplish something that doesn't seem possible and better themselves, at the same time. I'm excited to see what kind of acting roles he will now get but moreover, I'm just glad the dude is healthy and happy.

That was pretty awesome, thank you both for sharing.
I am so happy for Ethan. Such an accomplishment. It is hard being a performer and only getting cast for 'the fat guy.' Just like so many others who struggled with their weight and are treated awful by the system. He looks much healthier and happier. High Five, dude

Truly one of the most amazing transformations I've ever seen. I remember this guy pretty well from back in the day. If I passed him on the street I would never guess who he was in a million years.
