Thanks so much! I had no choice but to style my locs, it was the only solution to my slippage issues. I plan on revisiting some of those styles now that I have a bit more length.
Side note: I am not going to ever participate in another Fitbit challenge with you again! I spent Friday night through Saturday morning recovering and apologizing to my feet LOL! How do you do them every week?!?! You are superwoman!
Lol awww come on I am going to invite you again this week lol you will be okay. I love those challenges they keep me going.
One day I will have to do a video on how I was broken from peer pressure at a very young age LOL! I had to re-arrange my workout schedule (I am working to build mass) last week and I won't do that every week. I will cheer you and all those brave souls who do that every week on in spirit though!
Lol OK cool....I need to build some muscle mass so my arms can be toned like yours.
Congrats on your 1 year anniversary! Your hair is beautiful!! I recently started my journey (1 week in) and my hair is about the same length as yours from your earlier pictures. How often did you wash your hair when you started your journey?
Welcome to life with locs! I was dealing with a TON of slippage (especially the first 6 months), so I tried to only shampoo once between reties. (Note: My consultant would shampoo my locs at my retie appointments) If I had to guess...I shampooed every 2.5 to 3 weeks.
I kept fairly detailed notes (at least I think I did) on my blog (p31diva-blogs.blogspot.com) about how often I shampooed.

Hey! Love the compilation of pictures from before and throughout the journey so far. What did you use to create the three pictures in one at 1:48. Great protective styles
Thank you! I am not sure how I created that picture. I don't have any fancy (such as final cut pro) software. Maybe I did it with PowerPoint? If/when I figure it out, I will come back and let you know. And thank you- those styles helped me get my slippage issues under control!
