      Cool! That reminds me of my grandpa he was always fixing things and I would go in the garage with him and look at all the little mechanical bits an pieces he had, organized in those tiny little cabinets, some screws still in the original packaging from the 50's. He passed away ages ago unfortunately but now all of those shelves and toolboxes are in my basement work table and I use them to this day

I never thought of jb weld as a filler, seems to work great, I'm gonna carry that with me. A further push would be to hand paint the sidepipes and undercarriage details with an aluminum colored silver. Car looks cool!!

So many times I thought it was just about done and then you pulled out some other bit of magic out of your hat. Vacuum forming a top? That is awesome. Wow, you can still get spares for this? The sticker, sidewalls, hubcaps and seat insert probably cost more than five of the new cars did in 1960.
    Well done, a beautiful refurb job (this went w-a-a-a-a-y beyond a simple 'restore' which implies back to factory standard. This is collectors' level shit, a really great piece of work).

    • @elizabethpemberton8445
      @elizabethpemberton8445 Před rokem

      The sidewalls can be done relatively simply at home using silicone molds (material easily obtained at craft stores) cast from an original. You’d need to do a little legwork to get the right rubbery sidewall formula, as resin isn’t flexible enough, but it looks like a simple piece to cast.

    Constructive criticism: the way the intro was done is great, but unnecessary. It gives away too much of the video and may lead to more click offs. Maybe do something shorter without revealing too much. Hope this helps! love your videos!

The intro was a bit too long, and probably added extra time to your video production time. This restoration had some extra wow on the final reveal!
